Thich Nhat Hanh provides another demonstration of his skills as a Buddhist master and story teller. "You Are Here" further explores the Dharma whilst entertaining the reader with relevant practice "tips" for both beginner and serious meditator alike."To me, the definition of hell is simple. It is a place where there is no understanding and no compassion." It is Thich Nhat Hanh's ability to simplify that is his great skill in inspiring us to strengthen our practice and clarify thorny concepts at the same time.

An excellent book. Thich Nhat Hanh makes the most esoteric ideas clear cut and simple. This is very helpful in changing ones attitude to a more healthy awareness. The difficult part is consistency in practice!

As a beginner, and atheist, I find these teaching of love, compassion and true living to be more profound than any religions studied before. The sutras have already proven to benefit my mental well-being after immediately implementing them in my daily activities.

We are currently using this book as our guide for Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction originally taught by Dr. Jon Kabatt Zin and this book brings a simplistic teaching method that makes you slow down and truly absorb the meaning of his message. Another Ah ha moment!

It was amazingly simplistic, but I sincerely think that this was the true beauty of the way in which the book was written. It took me back to a place when living life was not so scripted, when our lives did not depend on something electronic every minute of the day and helped me to reconnect with myself in a very beautiful way.

I have read many books from Thay now, and although in many the concept of being in the present has been touched upon, this book really pulls it all together and you really do discover that there is something magical in the present moment. However it is a choice as we can choose to really be fully in the present or not, and to schools to appreciate what the present really is.
I 'get it' more than I did before, but I still need more practice to really be in the present.

Create this moment to be incredibly fantastic. Because to be alive is a miracle, and it follows that all that arises out of that miracle must in fact be miraculous. Perhaps the best of Thich Nhat Hanh's books to date.

A really useful book for Buddhist practice, simply written and very easy to read. Christians and others of faith will find this useful for dealing with negative emotions. I've read it twice this summer and will surely read it again in the future.
