This was
Surprisingly good but predictable and not a lot we didn't know. Glad he did it and it was interesting enough to keep me reading it. Wish it went beyond Anti-Christ Superstar though. Was never a huge fan but a fan just the same

Knew nothing of Marilyn Manson. That's why I thought I'd try it. Toward the end, it gets just gross. The beginning is a good story but then he just gets so twisted it was making my stomach churn. Not great.

Very good read. Excruciatingly dark at times, but that's expected with Mr. Manson. I find him to be somewhat whiny in this book, which is my reason for giving it 4 stars. He definitely has an opinion about everything, but the tone becomes somewhat old after a while.

However, would recommend... if you're into it.

This book was very interesting. Not for the pure minded, just a warning. I could not put it down, as gross as it was I loved it. Brian Warner is very creative and talented. Some of his thoughts and ideas are so close to my own, at times I felt as though I was reading my own journal. I hope he writes more books, I'd buy them!

I usually stick with fiction, but this was okay. I think I learned quite a bit about Mr. Manson, and it was interesting to read about his childhood, I think, more than anything else. There were some moments in the middle of this book where it drags a bit. You can only read so many "tour stories" before they all start to sound the same, but other than that, it was a rather quick read, especially toward the end, which is mostly made up of Manson's journal entries from their Antichrist Superstar tour. I would recommend this to anyone who is a Marilyn Manson fan, or if you're just curious about the man behind the makeup.

The beginning of the book was very interesting; childhood, adolescence, young adulthood. I thought a lot of the second half of the book was repetitive in that they did the same things over and over....drugs and humiliating people who annoyingly allowed "the band" to perform these acts to them. I was not offended by the acts, just didn't see the point to most of them. "We do it cause we can" must have been their motto. To each his own.

Bought for my hubby as part of his anniversary gift since he is a huge Marilyn Manson fan. He was ecstatic when he opened up his gift and this was in there! The book is a great addition to any one who is a fan! I received the book very quick! I am extremely happy with this order

This book starts off really great, then fell off from there. I was never one who was into Marilyn Manson, but i thought it might be a good book, but it kind of let me down. After a while, you get tired of reading about somebody who blames everybody else for the things that they do. On a positive note, some of the backstage stories were interesting, I just wished the whole book was a bit more positive. After all this guy has made a pretty good living, and continues to make money off his book. You would think that he would be just a little happy once in a while. Bottom line, if they offer it at a discount, i would say try it, but full price is a waste. Everyone has an opinion, and that is mine.

I would recommend this book to anyone who doesn't understand Marilyn Manson or considers him to be a "freak". You will be pleasantly surprised. Also anyone who needs to be reminded of who they are and what they stand for should give this a read. It really spoke to me and showed me that I should never be ashamed to be myself. Great book. He's a fascinating person worthy of the time it will take you to read his book and the money you will spend on it.

This is a very entertaining read. If your a young person and can't seem to find anything that will keep you interested, read this book. Or if
your a really big Marilyn Manson fan, this a is a mandatory read!! Its filled with disgusting moments, embarrassing times, sadness, and crazy drug stories/parties. Its the story of a rock star being born! And for all those people who are hating on this book, You must remember drugs make people do crazy s***. (((Also, YES this book only has his opinions..its an autobiography, with only his opinion on his experiences, they way he saw his life, through his eyes.))) This book is really fun to read it makes you feel like you are there, seeing the way rock stars live and hangout together. It also lets you know that Brian is just like everyone else, at least when he started out. I had a lot of fun reading about his crazy stories, and all of his first time experiences, as well as his poems, and short fiction stories, they where all
wonderful and I very much enjoyed Them. The book also has some really nice photos. But this book isn't for everyone, so be careful and don't gift it to any light hearted people!

Brian H. Warner famously known as Marilyn Manson, is one of the most genuine humans I've ever had the honor of meeting. I've had said honor twice, and each time I left feeling as though I just spent time with one of this generations greatest minds. I highly respect him, love his art (both music & physical/traditional art), and appreciate this autobiography. Definitely worth every penny & then some.

Excellent book! Not for the faint of heart. Must be an adult or be on an adult's wavelength of thinking to read this book. Filled with emotion, you can feel it strongly as you're reading it. He wrote it in such a way that you can feel what he feels and put yourself easily in his place as you're reading.

Marilyn manson is truly the man and his story was inspirational. Only the great make it in the world of rock. He doesn't care what the world percieves of him and does whatever the ell he wants. If you have an open mind and want to go on an insane journey, I highly recommend this book.
