I heard about this book from a friend and decided to check it out...I would have used his but there was writing everywhere!! The first thing I loved about it was that It made me feel like I wasn't just being told what to do/what's right/what's wrong...it really made me think about my personal situation and how I can apply the advice to different aspects of my life in my own, tailored way. Secondly, the information was very clear and I loved that the author used very appropriate bits of wisdom from other authors so I feel like I really did get a COMPLETE GUIDE...highly recommended!!

Jenny Blake does something most authors don't have the ability to do: she connects with readers on many, many levels and does so without sounding cliche or 'campy.' Jenny's advice on everything from finances to relationships is so helpful to read, even for someone that graduated a few years ago. The exercises, quotes, and crowd-sourced advice help strengthen her words and advice on these topics. This is a book that I will be buying for graduating family members and keeping for myself as a reference guide whenever I need some inspiration!

I am so grateful to have stumbled upon Jenny Blake's blog many years ago, and even more grateful to have her book "Life After College" as my constant source of encouragement and clarity. I turn to it all the time for all types of different reasons. If you want to make sense of your life and the big picture, and want to gain the courage and inspiration to pursue those "big, hairy, scary dreams", then use Jenny Blake's book as your guide.. your guru. She writes beautifully. She makes you feel like she's a long lost friend that wants the very best for you and believes in you. The exercises provoke serious thought and consideration to your deepest desires and feelings. Anytime I'm unsure of something in my life, I open this book (and my heart) and search for some answers.. and generally the answers are there. I 100% recommend this book to everyone, not just college grads, because we are all doing our best to navigate this crazy, wonderful life, and sometimes it helps to have someone on your side. Thanks Jenny!!

Not only does this book give perfect (and realistic) advice on how to navigate the "real world" after college, it's incredible empowering in a DIY kind of way, too. This isn't just a book, it's a workbook. It's interactive. The reader needs to be engaged and open to trying new things in order to get through the book. It's wildly entertaining and completely relatable. Jenny takes her personal experience and weaves it into the book in a way that is just plain inspirational. I'd only be able to get through 10 pages at a time before I had to get up and DO SOMETHING.

Life After College is a great resource for young adults (and beyond) who want to create a productive, fulfilling life. Jenny Blake offers sage guidance on everything from work and relationships to home and health. The tips, exercises, quotes, and reflections are a perfect companion for mapping our true desires. I especially love the worksheets Jenny lays out - they are a hands-on way to move through transition of all kinds. Perhaps what I most appreciate about this book, overall, is the wonderful balance of inspiration and practicality. Highly recommended!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Jenny Blake nails what is going through the head of most 20 somethings the moment they leave the collegiate institution that has been home to them for the past few years. Her book gives exceptional insight into how to navigate the weeks following college graduation and how to approach the years to come. Even if you aren't into journaling for long periods of time, this book makes it easy to put thoughts into concrete statements and create a plan of attack for the future.

This book is a tremendous personal growth tool for anyone, not just those in their early-to-mid twenties. It covers each of the major areas in one's life from personal growth to finance to love/relationships.
The advice and personal experiences of the author and her friends/twitter followers are great but the real value in this book is in the exercises at the end of each chapter that teach, encourage, and challenge readers to be the best version of themselves possible.
A must-read for anyone who wants to grow.

First of all, I totally LOVE getting what I want. And Jenny Blake's guide on how to make that happen is the perfect starting off point when "getting what I want" seems confusing and overwhelming. She's doling out heart-fueled and sassy advice (from her experience and lots of others), but she's also providing practical questions and worksheets and activities that guide us through our own journey. Life After College is inspiring and useful for anyone (even those of us 10 years out of college!) who want to create a happy and successful life on our own terms.

Jenny Blake's book, Life After College, was very helpful because she had many good tips and helpful knowledge. I am currently a freshman in college and her book helped me realize what I want to do before I even graduate. What I enjoyed most about the book was the interactive experience. There are exercises in the book to help you realize what is important in your life. This is an important aspect of her book because everyone is a different and unique person. Life After College helped teach good ways to find out what we are passionate about, what we truly would like to do in life, and much more. Life After College taught me much that I believe will help me as I go further into my journey of life. The book helps you to analyze your life. The book helps to try and set you on a correct path toward success and most importantly happiness.

Jenny's book is perfect for the young person right out of college (or his or her parent). The advice is easy to follow, the guides and checklists are helpful, and the approach is straightforward. It's easy to rid and (hopefully) easy to apply.

This book, Life After College is full of great advice that a person at any age can use. It has become my new go-to graduation gift. There are so many easy tips inside the book I wish I would have know when I was first starting out. The best part is you can read the book when you first graduate and gain so much value but then read it again, 10 years later, and you relies the book can still help you keep your ever-changing life in balance.

"Life After College" is a must read for recent grads and twenty somethings looking to figure out "what's next" and how to get it! I loved the lists (especially the ones at the end of each chapter), the quotes, and the activities! I've read it cover to cover twice :)

Love, love, love this book! A quick thought provoking read, Jenny challenges you to decide what you want from your life (personal and professional) and then shows you her mad organizing skills on how to get there!
Pick up a copy of yourself and then send one to a friend--I did!

As a researcher who studies the youth and young adult markets as a profession, I knew I would dive into this book with a pretty critical eye. All I can say is, WOW! Jenny REALLY hit a homerun with this one! From the form to the tiny nuances, this was a very well-thought piece of literature! I serve on the Board of Directors for the DFW American Marketing Association and lead our collegiate relations efforts, and I can honestly say I will recommend this book to all of my college students!
Jenny has a way of keeping it "real" and leaving you with tangible takeaways that provide true value. Her ability to relate to any reader in a fluid and straight-forward style is a true art, and I outwardly applaud her hard work and dedication to really providing something that will help young adults and grads out there.
Already looking forward to the next release from Jenny!!

Filled with templates to kickstart personal development and plenty of wisdom culled from her own insatiable desire to create more fulfillment in everyday life, Jenny Blake has created a veritable handbook for the "real world." (Also, if you happen to be a fan of great quotes from wise people, like I am, the collection scattered throughout is alone worth the price of admission.)
I vividly remember leaving college and the distinct feeling that I had no clue what I was doing. Maybe that sounds familiar to you, too. It's easy to stumble on a path in our lives, only to look back a decade later and realize that... well, we didn't quite mean to go THAT direction! The great thing about life is that it's never too late to make a turn, and this book can help.
To be sure, some of the information in this book is aimed squarely at young twentysomethings. But much of it is highly useful for anyone who wants to make sure they're on the path they want to be on. These pages are filled with great tools -- and spirited inspiration -- to help us get exactly what we want out of life.
