Never have I read a series that combined scifi, sociology, and history in such a wonderful way. Taylor is in his zone when he write these books, and I rarely find any in resale stores. That is saying a lot.

I felt like the last volume was seriously starting to stray and was spreading the characters (and the story) too thin. This volume really captured my attention and started getting back to what made this story so appealing to me in the first place; the Destroyermen. Looking forward to the next volume.

Mr. Anderson has produced another of his series about World War II era destroyermen transport to an alternate Earth. It is worth the read. He keeps the story line consistent with the previous books in the series, yet manages (as usual) to introduce ingenious plot twists. Mr. Anderson's command of the technology is very good. He introduces enough detail to keep the interest of the historical technology enthusiasts without bogging down the story and plot with too many details. If you like H. Beam Piper, David Weber or John Ringo, you will like Mr. Anderson's works.

Taylor Anderson's Destroyermen series keeps moving along nicely, if you have liked the earlier books you will likely still enjoy this one. A very fun adventure series. I keep wondering who is going to get the movie rights.

One of the better additions to the Destroyermen series. A so many new refugees from our reality have shown up in the last two novels, I half expect them to find my missing sunglasses in the next novel.

The 8th book in the Destroyermen series continues to broaden and expand the world to a scale we could not imagine. The great cast of characters don't show much progression or development, but the war continues to roll forward through more critical battles. Exciting, detailed, and a fun read.

Just like the rest of the 'Cats, I was uninterested in the Eastern Front, until this book. And if that wasn't all this book ramps up the urgency in the west as well making the entire war something to look forward to. I can't wait to see what unexpected allies/enemies might be revealed on this other Earth.

If you enjoy David Weber type military science fiction and characters that you really care about. Start at the beginning of the series though! Don't skip any of the previous installments! You won't be sorry.

This story keeps getting better as it goes along. Can't wait for the next book in the series. There is some much history and trying to figure out how this world I'd different and the same is incredibly fun.
