A little more editing needed but it was fun. Good beach read. A little hard to believe that she could not take out more student loans or at a heavily endowed school get scholarships, but that's not the point.

I think, my problem ultimately was that I just didn't get into the story.
Cat was okay and so was Ash, but I never really understood the connection they had and then there was the inexplicable "this is fate" bit of him being the person to call her line and ...well, I suppose I never really understood how the villain did what he did and so all of the thriller bits just left me cold. Then except for Bridgette, everything in her life was really, again, really inexplicably sucky and I felt like it wasn't really believable.
The detective's reactions to her -- it felt like it was a setup for him to be a possible suspect. And I live "around" the Harvard area, so I'm really mind boggled as to why she *had* to live with such a crazy/horrible roommate to save money. There are so many broke college students in this area that I do not believe that she could not find a cheap option somewhere with another friend, or at least someone nice and sane. And lastly, I don't believe with what her parents did that they did not have a life insurance policy to cover eventualities -- the fact that she was that broke just didn't ring true. Her parents were, from all accounts, really intelligent people. I find it impossible to believe they would have not had a life insurance policy and left her possibly destitute with no other relatives.
Sorry, I know there are people who have truly terrible lives out there, but Cat should not be one of them. Just really. Most insurance policies will pay out if the insured people are murdered. And with no other family to go to, her parents almost certainly would have bought insurance if they had half a brain cell between them.
I guess I could have kept going if I found the sex hot, but the way they did phone sex just sounded really contrived and awkward and that just killed everything for me.
Lastly, way to go cliffhanger! I hate cliffhangers. And it wasn't even really a believable cliffhanger, so whatever. I'm done. This book was okay, and I would have read the next two if they were on kindle unlimited, but they're not.

This was a very good story with an different story line. I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to start the next one in the series, although I wasn't happy with the way the first book ended it felt like there should have been another chapter to tie up the loose end you were left with.

This book is a great mystery and exciting book to read. I had a hard time putting it down. I didn't know what would happen to Catelyn and ash. So if you want a good mystery book with good story you need to read this book.

Great read, especially for a free kindle book. I would recommend for 18+ only though considering the sexual content. Don't take this book fool you for an erotic novel when it's more of a suspense. Recommended, especially if you find it on the free list!

Very well written, entertaining and one that makes you want to keep reading to see how and who is her stalker. A little too detailed in the bedroom scenes...so I skipped those pages. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

Well written, with mystery and intrigue, not just sex. The ending did feel a bit rushed, and the realism of Catelyn and Ash's "first time" wasn't up to par with the situation, but otherwise an excellent read.

Not an overly strong plot and some questionable parts--such as two lawyer parents, one also a published author, and they don't have trust fund or other funds set up to support their orphaned daughter? So how, besides student loans does the totally broke daughter go to Harvard undergrad and Law school? And if you are so totally broke why pick Harvard? Again, several questionable parts, but for me the ending was awful. I only kept reading the book to see which of the many suspects was the killer, so I found the lack of closure disappointing. I would have been even more disappointed if I had acutally purchased this book--so for the free or .99 price I can easily say I got what I paid for.

This book will keep you on edge. The characters are hot and mysterious. The story is hot and cold. Who is who and what is going on. I guess you have to read the next book to find the answer. Great writing.

I really enjoyed the story of Cat, it was interesting and really kept you guessing unitl the end. The problem was it even at the end it kept you guessing. I would really have to concider hard wether to buy another book by this author. Ending a story so that you have to purchase another just to read the outcome of the story is not something I want ot do.

Contains possible spoilers!

I will start off by saying I got this book for free through Book Bub, so I can’t been too hard on this series. Overall the book was pretty good, pretty consistent with the mystery vibe, fairly good dialogue between the love interests and enough detail to keep the world interesting but not get bogged down. I didn’t know it was part of a series at first, so the cliff hanger ending was a bit of a surprise, but it was enough to get me to buy the next book and continue on with Cat.

I will say I was a bit disappointed in phone sex area of the story. The description of the book made it seem like there would be a lot more of it and I was looking forward to seeing her getting her bearings and really learning to work with clients while keeping everything else going. Unfortunately they barely touched the subject besides a few clumsy scenes that almost immediately transitioned into part of the love interest and pretty much nothing after that.

I’d say it is a good start to a series but I wish the author(s) had given a little more texture to the story.

This was a very original romance book full of plot twist and turns, it was very suspenseful. I loved it a lot. Getting it for free couldn't be bet.

Be prepared to buy the next two in the series.

Catelyn's parents were murdered right in front of her when she was younger, now every year on the anniversary of their death the murderer sends her letters. While dealing with trying to figure out who the murderer is she is trying to go to law school. The only way to pay for her tuition and necessities she finds a job as a phone sex operator. Things start to fall apart for her when the midnight murderer ruins her apartment, which leaves cat no choice but to move in with her friend. While at her friends parents party she runs into a guy she met not too long before, ash. She can't seem to find it in herself to date the bad boy billionaire, little did she know he would be calling and she was his phone sex operator. Catelyn starts to fall for him as cat and catelyn but she doesn't know how yo tell him she is cat without scaring him off. Amazing read I won't give anything else away. Does she find her killer? Does she give ash, the bad boy billionaire a chance? Read and find out, I can't wait to read the next book!

I chose this rating because it had an interesting what happens next theme. Are the people that killed her parents after her too? A student in law school becomes a phone sex operator because she's strapped for money. Very enjoyable.
