Ms. Ashley has done a wonderful job of demonstrating how to overcome bad things in our lives. We don't always have control over everything. Learning to depend on others is a hard lesson too, but this book shows it all to us!! Worth the read!!!!!

This is the first book in Jennifer Ashley's contemporary romance about a family of cowboys who are in the business of stunt riding and horse training. I liked the premise of the book and the family however I wasn't a big fan of Adam's. Adam is the oldest son and has been working as a stuntman in Holllywood until a stunt goes wrong killing his best friend and seriously injuring Adam. Adam of course blames himself and his family brings him home to recover where the girl he left behind is no working. Bailey moved back home from Austin after a divorce due to her husband cheating on her with her close friend. Bailey and Adam had a mutual break-up so that he could follow his dreams to be a stuntman in Hollywood and they never stayed in touch. However, the book would lead you to believe they never forgot each other.
The biggest issue with this book is that Adam is well grumpy and not very nice or fun to be around. Understandable after all he has been through but it made it hard to believe that Bailey could still be so in love with him. We didn't get to see whatever it was that she saw in him because he was too busy being grumpy and feeling sorry for himself. I liked Bailey. She was tough and sweet but not so sweet that she let her self be walked over. The relationship progresses quickly and Bailey helps Adam overcome his fear. It just happens a little too quickly in my opinion. I actually found myself more interested in Grant and Christina. This was an okay read but I am looking forward to the next book about Grant.

I'm used to reading about Shifters and the shenanigans they get themselves into; this is a pleasant diversion. I wasn't sure if Adam was going to get his head out of his a$$ in time, but so glad he did. Excellent writing as always!

I have read many Jennifer Ashley books, and love most of them. This was an enjoyable read, and the first contemporary romance I have read. I liked the characters, liked the story and look forward to the next book.

I absolutely loved this book! I liked how people could look past the outer appearance and focus on the person. It took a lot of convincing before Adam accepted those true feelings, but he finally did.

One thing bothered me about this book: Adam's face was badly burned on one side. It was referred to several times as being "ruined." That just seemed kind of wrong to me.
This book is the first in a series of complete stories about interconnected characters, NOT a SERIAL, which means no cliffhangers. YAY!!

Terrific story! Adam and Bailey are great together. A strong successful man brought low by tragedy, comes home broken and only his first love can give him strength to get back in the saddle again, literally! Love the Campbell family, cannot to read each of their stories. Would love Olivia to have her own romance! Mom's deserve true love too!
