"I Am Zlatan" is a riveting book about every football fans favorite, Zlatan Ibrahimovic. This book gave a really in-depth perspective on his life, how he felt, and really who he is. Every time I pick up this book, I've never felt like the book got boring, or that it's repetitive. It's written very well, and is just an all and all great story. It shows that he's not a cocky world class athlete. It shows he's a great guy, and can do special things on the pitch. I really loved this book, and if anyone sees this, I strongly believe you should read this, it's truly a spectacular story.

Bought it because of the reviews---maybe a great player---but totally self centered, and the book had very little wisdom-I did this and that--like a little boy---not on the same class as the books by Sir Alex.

This is hands down one of my favorite "autobiographies." I purchased the UK version at Heathrow back in December and could not put the book down. (I tried reading a Messi bio afterwards and it was such a snooze-fest in comparison I still haven't finished it.) I loved the book so much, I purchased the US version to see if there were any noteworthy changes. (There's not and it is definitely worth a second read.) I loved Zlatan's honest, unabashed, attitude towards soccer and life. My only criticism is that this should be available in an audiobook. I would pay good money to hear Zlatan tell the story of Zlatan. I hope Zlatan finishes up his career in the USA so we can get an additional few chapters of in a future version.

This is an account of the footballing life of one of the most egotistical self-indulgent whinging self-regarding (are there any other 'self' words I could use?) people ever to commit pen to paper. His obsession with himself and the effect that he perceives himself to have on others is boundless and difficult to understand from any self-respecting adult with even a modicum of self-awareness. His opinion of himself far exceeds his footballing skills (which i have to admit are considerable). the only way that this book could be considered worthwhile is if it were written as a parody. I started this book because I had heard good things about it... I only continued to read it because I was fascinated in a macabre sort of way to see how bad it could get, and it got very bad. His wife and children get a very occasional passing reference, though I'm not sure how he managed to spend any time with them, since most of this time was consumed with Playstation games in his mid-20's!!!) and negotiating moves away from his 'dream' clubs almost as soon as he arrived. I read this (3 and a half hours, I counted, of my life that I will never recover), so that you don't have to.

The truth is that I used to despise Zlatan, especially as a person. A friend of mine, an Ibra fanatic begged me to read the book, and so I gave in. By the 4th chapter, I felt like I knew Zlatan personally and at a completely different level. He went from being the huge, built, cocky, long-haired tough guy, to the "little punk boy" that struggled to get through some difficult challenges in his early years. He detailed some events in such a vivid way that I had little difficulty imagining a young Zlatan living unpredictable nights and days. The book explains what makes him the way he is today.
Zlatan Ibrahimović grew on me by the end of the book, and I don't regret reading it.

Admittedly the three star rating for me is because I was not very familiar with Zlatan before reading this book. I had read an excerpt that intrigued me, and it turns out that was the best part of the book. I will say Zlatan is very honest in the book, and I don't feel he holds back or tries to protect others in the book. However, most of the stories only seem to be half told, and quite frankly the writing just wasn't that good. If you are big Zlatan fan, it's probably a five star book, but for me is was just okay.

The book I Am Zlatan is an autobiography of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is a famous soccer player.
He currently plays for the soccer club PSG in Paris, France.
He grew up in Malmö, Sweden where he started his soccer career. Zlatan talks about his rough childhood. He had to act like the father in the family because his father was not around.
Zlatan has played in almost all of the biggest leagues in Europe. He talks about his relationships with his teammates and managers. His relationships with his managers were often bad. Acting as the authority figure as a child may have caused this because he was used to being in charge.
This book is inspiring for young athletes. I recommend this book for not just soccer fans but everyone who is looking for a good book to read!
