I've enjoyed Major Channing since he first had the nerve to insult Alexia. I kept waiting for the right woman to stand up to him and, lo and behold, Faith is just such a woman! I loved reading their story and hope to hear more about Teddy, too! She's a pip!

Another loose end tied up in a fantastically convoluted but beautiful cravat. I immensely enjoyed reading it, its a book that leaves you smiling. Anyone looking for a fun sweet light hearted book should put on a pot of tea and read this.

Ms. Gail Carriger has done it again! This book is wonderfully charming. The characters, setting and writing are superb. I loved that the main heroine is a geologist—and that her male love interest wooed her through sending her rocks. How original and cute! Overall, this book is a well crafted, hilarious romantic comedy. Highly recommend.

This story was charming, funny, and just utterly enjoyable. I tried to read it in sips, and ended up gulping down the whole thing. Highly recommended if you're a fan of the Parasol Protectorate series.

Another delight from an author that proves to me over and over that there can be joy found in reading. Witty repartee, solid characters and the occasional well chosen hat all come together in this novel to make us laugh and get misty eyed in all the right moments.

An absolutely lovely read! Part of the joy of Ms. Carriger's books is that she captures the fantasy of a romance novel, but her characters have believable tragedy in their lives. I would strongly recommend reading her other works first for context.

This book is everything I’ve come to expect from a book by Gail Carriger. She is an expert at witty banter and amusing plots. I adore the female friendships she creates, in this instance Faith and Teddy. I read this in one sitting.
