I enjoyed this book and the 'crazy' characters very much! So much so that I borrowed the second book and I don't like stories that keep going! I am so tired sequels that I gave up on them. But I am willing to try with this series because I thought it was very funny and interesting.

Cameron Jace has a gift! His writing style pulls you in the moment you start reading. I loved this book and was upset each time I had to stop reading due to being a mom and wife and all that entails. As with all of his books, I couldn't wait until everyone was asleep to be able to have my alone time to read and jump in to the adventure with Alice! So looking forward to the next book!!

Insanity is a very well written book. Love the way the names of the characters were used to correlate with their counterparts in the original Alice in Wonderland book. Was a very enjoyable read for me, it tied in the essence of a drama with comedy mixed in and drew you into the characters and what they were going through.
Splintered (Splintered Series #1) :: A gripping sci-fi novel from the multi-award-winning author :: Willa of the Wood :: Serafina and the Twisted Staff (Serafina Book 2) :: Unbreak Me (Splintered Hearts Book 1)

Insanity is a well written story of Alice and the rest of the story. Things may not be what they seem, rarely are. So, this is along the same lines as Wicked, an alternate/expanded version of the story. The characters are well developed and story line is interesting and captivating. Couldn't put it down. Ordered the second in the series as soon as I finished the first. Thank you Cameron James for the entertainment.

This book was nothing short of phenomenal! I've loved everything Cameron Jace has written before and I wasn't let down. I just absorb his books. I literally can't stop reading when it's one of his books. I got all three of the most recently released one's and I've disappeared into his world for the past two days. He does such an amazing job of making you understand the characters and just know them and you completely see their points of view and agree with them. You end up completely agreeing that we're all mad here. I can't wait for the next book!!!!

Also incredibly obsessive and scattered. I almost gave up half a dozen times. It was amusing in places (there's a scene at Westminster Palace involving marshmallows that made me laugh out loud) but for the most part, I had a difficult time following this. Don't think I'm interested in the rest of the series.

I was hooked from the beginning and it continued through the entire book. This is quickly one of my favorites and I can't wait to start it again! Fantastic character writing and the most genius plot ever. Twisted and funny and weird! Just how I like my books!

I really loved reading Cameron's Insanity. Insanity is about the adventurers of a girl named Alice who is locked up in an Asylum for killing her classmates.

Some situations in the book seems almost impossible but hey this book is called Insanity so of course it will be an insane adventure. While reading this, it will have you constantly asking what is real and what isn't. This is a mad world after all.

I loved Alice in Wonderland when I was little and I had fun reading this new spin on the story and I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Cameron Jace has a talent for taking stories that we've all grown up on and giving them a new twist. Insanity is no different. Alice lives in a mental hospital, but she isn't your typical type of Insane. In fact, the more insane the world gets around her, the more intelligent and brave she gets. Is she really the Alice from Wonderland? I guess you'll have to read the book to decide for yourself...

Fantastic spin on Wonderland. I was skeptical to start this as there are so many fairy tale books being reinvented these days but once I started I couldn't put it down. I love the story line and the twist the author put into the characters. I read this book in an hour and just 1 clicked the next two. You won't be disappointed in this story.

Insanity (Mad in Wonderland) (Insanity #1) by Cameron Jace Well I am not only and Alice geek, but a fairy tale geek as well. I really enjoyed this retelling of Alice's adventures underground. The dialogue between The Pillar and Alice cracked me up. I quoted many things as I read. Can';t wait to read the rest of the series.

While I am no longer a "young" adult, I absolutely loved this book! It was riveting from the very first sentence. This is the most creative twist on the Wonderland story-line I have ever come across and I cannot wait to download the next books in the series. Literally, I cannot wait... I am on my way to do just that RIGHT now.

I was constantly intrigued.by the author's highly imaginative telling of a new story of a grown up, modern Alice trapped in a mad underground world. The historical revelations about Lewis Carroll were fascinating and ingeniously entwined with the magical elements of the story. Splice is a charming .mix of selfless bravery and achingly tender confusion. I look forward to the sequel. I'm eager to see how the enigmatic Mr.Pillar and Alice deal with the maniacally evil Cheshire Cat.

Alice revisited as a modern day girl. Dream a dream of madness and this is what would evolve. Cameron Jace is an amazing story teller and not one to miss! Every book he writes is fantastic and beyond belief, while making you question reality as we know it. Definitely worth reading! His writing paints images in your mind like the greatest movies of all time!

First, the cardinal rules of book purchase: who published it? who is the author? who owns the copyright? These last two should match; but didn't for this book. There is NO publisher listed. Do not just look at the reviews. This is a great example of what is probably LOTS of false reviews. This is one of very few books that I ever quit. The grammar is poor, words in sentences are out of order, spelling - can't they use spell check?!! There are no page numbers. Who doesn't use page numbers?!!! There is no point to this book; no story line. Don't waste your money. This was awful. I definitely won't make this mistake again.

This isn't your standard reimagining of Alice in Wonderland. Set in present day, Alice Wonder is aware of Lewis Carroll’s tale, as is everyone else in the story. We meet Alice at the Radcliffe Lunatic Asylum after she killed her classmates. When a serial killer calling himself the Cheshire Cat begins to murder people, a second serial killer with the last name of Pillar believes that Alice is the key to solving the murder mystery. The mystery, he states, has ties to a real Wonderland. How will he 1. get Alice out of the asylum and 2. convince Alice that he is telling the truth and that she can do what he says? The answers make for one awesome story that I could not put down.

I highly enjoyed the characters in Insanity, and the question of sane/insane adds extra depth to each. Alice has clearly been affected by her treatments in the asylum and you can see it in her thoughts. Pillar is the quintessential creepy genius. I have tons of questions about Jack Diamond and his crazy ways; I really hope to see more of him.

Jace certainly does his research. Not only about Alice in Wonderland and Lewis Carroll, but also of the areas surrounding Oxford and the other characters in Carroll’s life. Without it, the puzzles presented to Alice throughout the book would not be as clever as they are. He also clearly looked into insanity itself, and rightfully so, delving into it, not just stating “she’s insane” or “he’s insane” or their opposite and expecting us to take him at his word.

Jace manages to turn Alice in Wonderland as you know it onto it’s head. The result is spectacular and by the end, you’ll be left wondering if Alice Wonder is actually insane or if the world around her is instead. Perhaps the answer isn’t as clear as you think.

The first few chapters could use some further editing, for grammar and flow. It improves as it goes along. The story becomes an interesting blend of modern time in Oxford, England and references to Lewis Carroll's Wonderland.

An enjoyable, entertaining, witty, revamping of Alice in wonderland. I especially enjoyed the fact that the places in the book, even the festival are real festivals, not just the authors imagination. It drew me in and keep me reading. Can't wait to start book 2

Mad crazy fun. I know, not another classic ruined. It's not the case. I think of it as a children's classic we all know and loved as children, turned on its head too entertain us as adults. Devious and frabjous

I was honestly expecting utter crap considering how done to death the modern retells of Alice in Wonderland have been but this was fabulous. I just fell into the story and could not put it down until I finished it. I can't wait to start the next one.

Awesome Insanity! Could not put it down til I finished it. Makes you understand how all the madness in this world is crazy sanity. I sometimes have very Alice moments. They don't last long, but if you have just a little mad in your moments of life you might save someone!

Insanity will take you on a journey through your childhood with a twist. Wonderland becomes real, and the characters become human. Jace takes the world and turns into madness, creating an alternate universe full of mystery and insanity. A "Frabjous" read for people of all ages.

I love this book. Based on Alice in Wonderland as, I suppose, a sort of sequel full of madness. A good story over a fairly long series.
Unfortunately, the grammar is mediocre and the spelling is awful. Apparently there wasn't an editor before release. I like editing, so I'd be up for it if the changes would actually be used... anything to make this excellent story easier to read.

Character development is intriguing from page 1. I kept asking myself, "Is this really happening...or is it all a dream" and the fact that I still don't know makes me Wonderfully Mad! Cameron does some of his best writing, in my opinion, with this book. It's obvious that he has researched Lewis Caroll and events in history. I believe this contributes to the quality of the details and inter-connecting clues throughout this mystery. I can't wait to find out what will happen next!

Completely amazing. Couldn't put it down. Bought the sequel the moment I finished it. I have never underlined so many quotes from a book till this one. Going into my greatest hits collection. I'll end up re reading this a few times over the years. And passing it off on to others who would appreciate it. Great book

This was a complicated yet interesting book which is based on "Alice In Wonderland". It brings all the characters from the book into a modern world setting. You don't know whether the main characters are really living the adventures or if they're on a break from reality. Well worth the price.

Well written, fairly well copy edited (two typos), and interesting play on Alice in Wonderland. A little light on character development, perhaps due in part that this offering us only set up for following entries in the series.

An awesome twist to an old classic. This book allowed me to revisit one of my childhood favorites but with an adult twist. Alice being guided by the insane Carter Piller to find a murderer. Alice trying to figure out who she is and meeting characters from her past. I am off to buy the next book so I can continue this amazing story.

I just got done reading Insanity and its insane I love the story and all the connections and the research Cameron Jace did, its all simply frabjous! You must read this book if your mad and if your sane then read it to become mad! "Insanity is the new black."!

An interesting twist on the original tale. Set in the modern age, this captures the madness and nonsense heavily featured in the parent book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. With its characters reincarnated in the real world, Alice is actually convinced that she is 'mad' like every inmate in the asylum. Only the guidance of a certain hookah-smoking individual helps her understand the method behind the madness of the world.

Very strange book- with some things that seem very disconnected. I did appreciate the Lewis Carroll device used throughout but please get your facts straight. The climax came out of nowhere for me. Also huge pet-peeve- "It was brilling.." Not IT WAS not, TWAS! I am going to read the next one , hoping the author found his stride after the first.
