Serafina and the Twisted Staff (Serafina Book 2)

Serafina and the Twisted Staff carries on with the first in the series which I enjoyed very much. This second in the series is even better. Well-written and you actually care about the characters. I recommend this book highly.

It kept me interested in the story with just enough background information from the former book to not feel that you were missing some part of the story. The Biltmore House connection is an important part of the story for me (of course, this could be because I am from North Carolina.)

As a picky reader, Serafina has surprised me at every turn. I was first ensnared by the trailer for Seraphina and the Black Cloak. I honestly thought it was a movie trailer and upon realizing that it was a book, I purchased it right away... As a book rescuer and thrift store regular, I am not one to go out of my way to purchase a brand new book and this speaks volumes about the quality of Beatty's masterful writing AND promoting capabilities.
After reading the first book, I followed Facebook posts closely, hoping for more... And I leapt, cat-like, to purchase this second installment right away... And I am equally impressed and once more impatiently waiting and pacing the floors like a caged lion hoping for more!
I can also say, that as one of the earliest Harry Potter fans, I am admittedly biased regarding fantasy books... Suffice it to say, I haven't been this excited for a book series since that one and I see Serafina quickly rising to the likes of Harry Potter, becoming a franchise and going down in history as a literary classic.
Beatty is a gifted author and I am pleased to have discovered his work... As a former fantasy story addict as a young child, it is wonderful to discover such a rich, in-depth story to take me back to those childhood days, or rather, to take me away from my mundane, magically lacking adult world to Biltmore where Catamounts rid the world of evil and the wild can be wild as well as tame if the so choose...

I just finished the second book of Serifina and the Twisted Staff. It was fantastic. I was half way threw it yesterday and I just had to find out what happened!!! Read 4.5 hours straight to finish. My heart raced right along with theirs!!! What a superb story Robert Beatty. I am now just dying to good a book three. Thank you.... What a great adventure story teller you are! Waiting..........???

I would recommend this to children and adults. It kept me in suspense the whole time! The characters were wonderful and very real. The story was great and moving how the friendships grew and they would lay down their lives for each other!!!

This book was just amazing! All the detail Beaty included was absolutely stunning! I actualy felt like I was inside the book. I recamond this book highly. (Sorry for the spelling errors I tried my best I am only 13)

Loved getting to know Serafina! These books were full of great imaginative plots and characters. I have told many friends to read and enjoy Serafina's adventures. I live in Cashiers, NC and quickly became interested in reading these thrilling novels because of identifying with Pisgah National Forest and the Biltmore.
