Finally - another series by Eden I like!
Most of her recent stuff is not at all to my taste but this was just what I enjoy the most.
Badass, bigger then life hero. Kickass heroine. Solid plot and plenty of sizzling connection between the MCs.
Plenty of secondary characters destined for books of their own, of course. Which I'm fine with.
I'm very happy with this and recommend to anyone who enjoys a good paranormal with multiple paranormals.

I have read many books but this one most definitely this in the category of page turner, non stop reading. I love it Mina is not a walk over and Lake, oh my gosh. He is strong, firm, dark and lovely.
Immortal Rider (Demonica series Book 7) :: Bound by Night (The Moonbound Clan Vampires Book 1) :: Eternity Embraced (Demonica series) :: Blade of Darkness (Immortal Guardians Book 7) :: Seraphina (Seraphina Series)

The book mixes paranormal with the conflict of good verses evil. Cain and Abel. It promises all that is vastly bad can also be able to do good. All that is good is also able to do bad. It's a matter of choice not inherently good or bad. Free will.

In The Devil in Disguise Cynthia Eden delivers a fiendishly good paranormal romance that is exactly what fans have come to expect from this talented author!

Mina James is on the run from a mysterious government agency that is determined to use her powers of seduction as a weapon. The only way to escape their clutches for good is to find the Eye of Hell, a ring that is rumored to be able to take away power. But in order to find it, she must infiltrate the devil's own island by seducing the Lord of the Dark himself...

I simply adore this author's works. Whether it is romantic suspense or paranormal romance, I'm going to pick it up without even reading the blurb. Cythia Eden has penned an intriguingly sexy story chock-full of action and romance in The Devil in Disguise. While a little slow to start, Eden gives readers one hell of a ride with this paranormal gem. I thoroughly enjoyed Mina and Luke's characters, as well as Luke's backstory. As the Lord of the Dark, Luke is the ruler of all of the dark paranormal creatures - vampires, shifters, sirens, etc. While his twin brother Leo is of the light, those with only joy in their hearts and bound to protect the humans. Leo is always expecting the worst of Luke, but Luke just wants to live a quiet life on his island in the Florida Keys. Quiet until Mina shows up, that is....Mina was a little naive herself, especially for one with powers to compel. She despises the dark power within her though, and only wants it gone. She was a ray of light in Luke's life, despite all of the trouble she brings, and suddenly has Luke questioning if he really is the big bad that everyone thinks he is. I loved this not-so-bad devil of a man.

There was an instant spark between Mina and Luke, and I quickly found myself rooting for these two and their death-defying love. Twists and turns abound; between Mina's secrets and her true heritage, the government agency and it's obsessed agent determined to have her back - at all costs, and Luke's aggravating brother, I was glued to the pages. The secondary characters, Luke's shifter friends, were intriguing as well and I'm guessing that we will see more from them in future books. I'm also wondering if the big question of Luke and Leo's fated battle between Light and Dark will be touched on again soon. This seems to be the baseline of the series arc so I'm sure it will. Bottom line; If you're a fan of paranormal romance, you'll want to pick up this book today. Especially since it is FREE. I dare you not to love a book from Cynthia Eden!

Loved the premise, intrigue, steadiness and fun good story. I expected a possibly disconcerting dive but found this devil enjoyable. Predictable ending, come on, it's to be expected. I liked it more than I thought I would from beginning to end.

Another GREAT addition to Ms. Eden's books.
Luke is a dark authority figure of the "dark beings" and he has a brother that is of the "light". I instantly fell for Luke and his bad boy ways and I figured Ms. Eden would allow a smidgen of his goodness eventually appear. Luke is a lot more than I thought at first. I won't spoil the book but there are quite a few twists and turns in this story that kept me guessing. I didn't figure out the entire plot until the big reveal. Now the heroine, she is just full of surprises. She is a strong female character that follows what is right and does what needs to be done instead of cowering in fear and letting others do the dirty work. I loved all the characters! Even the mysterious and quiet Julian.

It's not dark dark as in rape or other triggers but it has some elements that leaves you guessing if Luke is the bad guy or good guy.I would definitely recommend this book!
