The Neighbor: A Detective D.D. Warren Novel was a thriller, exciting read. I couldn't put the book down. I rate it 5 stars because I was reading it on my ipad, iphone and computer. I would recommend it to all.

As with other Lisa Gardener books, I could not put this down. There is not even a place to pause reading since it goes immediately into something else just as interesting and intriguing. Her style is so detailed that you will be guessing all the way through the book about what is going to happen next and who is guilty. I will continue to read her books, especially when I have a weekend where I don't have to stop reading.

Typically likeable and comfortably familiar main character in Det. Warren, that is sadly my praise in whole for this lazy, chaotic and downright stingy offering by (the far more capable) Gardner, whom I will consequently never read again. The story is rife with fascinating computer forensics rarely utilized in fiction for entertainment, but the consistently and permanently unraveled plot disappoints - indeed, frustrates. Eschewing a lengthy diatribe, here's a sarcastic, "insider" comment directed to Gardner: "I know something you Don't know!" This Is far shorter than my usual reviews, since the book does not warrant any further abject waste of time. Let me be clear: SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY - SKIP THIS BOOK!!!

This book grabbed you from the first line and didn't stop till the end. I never wanted to put it down so I ended up reading it in one day ! The only thing is it kind of has the same plot line as the book and movie "Gone Girl". But I loved it just the same.

This book was a real page turner--keeps your interest from beginning to end. You don't need to have read her other books about Dectective D D Warren to be able to read and keep up with this book, Would recommend !!

Lisa Gardner writes a compelling and exciting mystery novel here. It slowed a few times but most of the time you are not going to want to put the book down. I truly don't understand the criticism of her ending by other readers. This was a page turner right to the end. Cudo's to the author and keep em coming.

I had read EVERY SINGLE Lisa Gardner book and loved each one--until I read The Neighbor. What a huge let down this book was. This book is just BAD! The ending really was a total cop out. Now, I no longer rush to buy and read her latest novels because I fear she may have lost her edge as a writer.

For those of you who wish to read a real page turner written by Lisa Gardner, I highly recommend The Killing Hour. Actually, all of her books previous to this one are great. I'd give each of them 5 stars. Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend The Neighbor to anyone. As I expressed earlier, Lisa Gardner's previous books are very well written and are great reads with satisfying endings. I hope this review helps others.

I really like most of the books by Lisa Gardner. Occasionally, one is a little too scary for me. But I think she is a great author. I really loved "The Neighbor". I could hardly put it down and sat up late reading it! I finally just finished it during the day when I should have been doing something else.

Another winner for Lisa Gardner. Very similar to Gone Girl but since I am a huge Lisa Gardner fan, I didn't mind. The twists and turns were exciting and one can associate easily with her characters.. I highly recommend "The Neighbor".

Frustrating at the same time interesting.
I kept reading and finally found satisfaction
in the effort. Not exciting, not fullfilling,
just - kept me reading.
Guess that's the goal for an author.

I learned a lot about children that have issues
I would have rated 5 star except I kept getting lost when author would switch from one characters to the other. It seems the transition wasn't as clear as it could have been.
Would I read her books again YES
