Still recovering from her last near death experience, Nina begins to have dreams. Not just any dreams, but almost-real nightmares- the same one, over and over again. Jared, becoming desperate, looks for reasoning behind the dreams. As Nina becomes more and more hopeless, Jared finally results to trying to find answers in Nina's dreams. What he discovers is not only a HUGE step backwards, but life-altering. The only thing that will help Nina is the book- Shax's book.

Like the first, the story was original, and entertaining. I liked this book more than Providence. The story was a bit more developed, but my patience with Nina was growing short. She literally knew nothing until someone told her the straight answer. That was the only thing about her that really bugged me, but the rest was really good! I look forward to the next book!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! A MUST READ!!!! As I wrote about the first book of the series, Providence, this series is my guilty pleasure! A pure, inspiring love story that reminds you that sometimes you have to go through h*ll to get to your miracle!

The complete Providence series is amazing. Highly recommend it. I was hooked right from the start with Providence. Couldn't get enough Jared. Read the complete series in less than a week.Requiem (Volume 2)

Great sequel... I love Providence, and like any series I must read all the books! Requiem was full of mystery and more mystical beings... This book focused more on Nina as a character that on Jared, there was limited Romance compared to Providence. However, the adventure, suspense, subliminal messages It was an absolute page turner for me, reading Eden now!

Jamie McGuire's sequel to Providence does NOT disappoint. It sucks you in from the first page and transports you to Jared and Nina's (and the rest of the Ryels) world. Witty and hilarious dialog that will make you laugh out loud, action that will have you holding your breath, and romance make Requiem a must read. I loved that Claire and Bex played a bigger part this time around. I cannot wait for the 3rd book!

This is the perfect book to follow the first one. I am so looking forward to reading #3 when that is released. I have recommended this series for a lot of people in my life that love to read like myself!

Great Work!

Fantastic!!! Brilliant sequel!!! I am always a little worried that sequels will not have the same spark that the first book in a series had, but Requiem was absolutely incredible! I won't even tell you about because I want you to read Providence and then Requiem and see for yourself!

Again I will say I am delightfully surprised by this series. Not a fan of the previous books I have read by this author, I approached this series with trepidation but was so happily surprised by how much I enjoyed these books! In fact, I would have to say that I enjoyed this second book even more than the first which we all know is a rarity when reading a series. This second book is an exhilarating rollercoaster ride as Nina and her crew of guardian angels try to steal back the book and solve the riddle of what Nina is and what her future will hold. Really excellent book I thoroughly enjoyed it! On to Eden...

Okay, absolutely LOVE this series so far...but I couldn't truly enjoy this one because Nina, the main character, annoyed me so badly! She was just so completely unlikable. I mean she was sort of annoying in the first one as well but this time you are left wondering why this amazing guy was so in love with her. She spent most of the book barking at everyone, being testy and angry (and yes I know this was part of the plot as well) but she was just so over the top. Still love the plot and the mythology but would really like a more likable main character.

The book is missing something for me? Thats why I gave it a 4 and not a 5. If you read the first one you will enjoy this! I was very happy with Nina she grows as a character and stopped crying all the time! Bex turned into an amazing kid. I was happy with a couple of surprises too...but I can't give them away. Thats what makes the book good! One thing I should worn readers if you have strong believes in God... in a certain way...don't read this. And if you don't believe in God not for you. I will read the next one.

After reading all of her books Jaime McGuire has been added to a very short list I have of author's who's books I will buy without even reading the description. Anything with her name attached is going to be great. Love her characters and story lines and I can't wait to see what she offers next.

I never write reviews- I'm only writing this because I feel very strongly about this book.
I LOVED Providence- I wasn't looking for a magical-creatures-abnormal type of book, but it surpassed all of my expectations. However, this book is nowhere near as nice quality.
I can barely understand what's going on, because everything is moving so fast. Already in the middle of the book more than a year has passed in which basically nothing happened that I understood. Characters are returning without being reintroduced. One of the things I usually get annoyed at in sequels is that the authors will reintroduce all of the characters, but here I really missed it.
In short, I feel like she could have explained A LOT more about Jared's world and everything that is happening.
Also, the dialogue is sometimes really weird and unrealistic.

This series is difficult to read because of all the grammatical errors. The simple misuse of words like their instead of they're and multiple typing errors made me put the book down uninterested in finishing. The author should stick to private journaling until she can compose coherent thoughts and the editor should be fired.

>Book Review – Requiem
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Providence Trilogy and ends in a cliffhanger. Jaren and Nina are now engaged, although Nina isn’t in any hurry to set a date. College life takes a back seat to real life filled with danger, demons and angels. Ryan goes off to war, revealing his true purpose with Claire. The whole family comes together, along with some surprises, to protect Nina from a prophesy.
>There is a lot of angst in this story. The fact that Nina can only sleep without Jared is heartbreaking. Bex plays a large role in this story. The romance between Nina and Jared is practically non-existent in this book. The prophesy is revealed though.
>This book is appropriate for a young adult (18+) audience. I am giving this story 4 stars. I wanted more romance and feelings from Jared and Nina.

I was given this audiobook to review in return for my honest review.
Now with that being said I must rather Requiem over Providence. I felt that Book 2 tied all the loose ends together and set the reader up for future events to come.

Nina and Jared are together but after obtaining a injury that Jared couldn't prevent, seems to start having horrific nightmares. Being visited my her deceased father and Jared's father Gabe, Nina starts to get worried that maybe they are trying to tell her something. That maybe there is a message that she has to know.

We are also introduced to Bex, Jared's younger brother. In the first book I loved Claire (Jared's sister) but I think Bex is much better. At times he is so mature and is well beyond his years, but then he surprises you and revels his true 13 year old self. I hated Ryan in the first book, absolutely hated him. I am not a fan of books with love triangles but I quickly changed my mind about Ryan in this book. He was down right likable. My only complaint about this book was that it is heavily based with religious history. I went to Catholic School and I don't even think we read things this heavy. At times I found myself skimming over theses parts because being bored. I wanted more of Jared and Nina not a religious class.

There was plenty going on in this book and at times I did finding myself listening to things over but all in all I enjoyed this book. The ending sets the reader up for the third and final installment of the series where all our questions will be answered. Hopefully the third book won't disappoint!.
