This book is phenomenal! Even if you are not normally a zombie fan this is a must read! Jamie McGuire has out done herself and will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish! Even days after finishing this book I found myself thinking about and scarily enough even thinking how in today's world it is a real possibility. Seriously...you MUST buy it now!

I really got attached to these characters and hated when not everyone lived happily ever after. But, it is a zombie romance and no one is guaranteed to make it to the last page. I just hated to see them go. Loved how the stories interwove with one another. Got totally invested in the people and the world. Didn't want to put the book down until I had read every last word. One to keep me up late at night. Scarlet irritated me. And, I gotta admit I would have enjoyed more "steam".

I definitely seldom read a zombie book but this one grabbed my attention. Once I started I couldn't put it down! The characters are likeable and I could visualize them throughout the book. My only problem, and I won't explain too much or I'll spoil it for others, is "something" is made very clear at the beginning yet totally contradicts that "something" towards the end??? just wondering if author planned it or forgot???

I was a little hesitant when buying this book even though I love zombie shows, I wasn't sure about reading a book about them. Turns out I was all wrong. This book is wonderful. Yes it's set during the zombie outbreak but there is so much more to the story. Happy reading!

Not your typical zombie apocalypse book!! This book just cements the fact that Jamie McGuire can do it all! I loved the different POVs, I loved the characters, but most of all I loved the story. You can't help but fall in love with the characters, especially with the way Jamie writes. I absolutely loved it! And the ending... just wow!

I love apocalyptic/dystopian stories and decided to give this book a try after it was recommended to me by my daughter who loves to read romances. I am glad that I listened to her and gave this book a chance. I got drawn into the story right away and didn't put down the book until I was finished. The characters made me sad, angry, and hopeful. They made stupid mistakes and some wise choices. They acted human.

Wow, this is a very different story line. I like how all the stories intertwine and come together at the end. I had to read it twice to catch it all. I love the love stories included, and very sad with all the death. Ending was awesome. Glad I don't get a flu shot! Great job Jamie, especially considering how completely different than Disaster.

This book made me laugh, cry, and scream! I absolutely LOVED it! The scenes were gripping, intense and emotional. It felt so very real. I didn't know how I would feel about a zombie book but Jamie McGuire absolutely NAILED IT! I hope and pray they make a movie out of this book! It would be amazing! I can't urge you enough to READ THIS BOOK!

I was shocked at first because I assumed it would be just another sweet but tragic love story. That it was, but what surprised me was the boy meets girl meets zombie side. I found myself staying up to the wee hours of the night to finish this book. This would make a fantastic movie, I definitely would go see it., and that surprises me too.....a book full of surprises.

Amazing! I loved the different povs and how all of their lives came together. The losses were unexpected and heartwrenching. I shed a tear a few times. Great zombie book but it's also much more. I highly recommend!

If you are a zombie (Walking Dead) fanatic like I am, well this is the book for you. The author tells the book for three different characters experiences. You get all the zombie, end of world feel and so much more.

This was a great read! The story was beautifully written and the characters were captivating! I had a really hard time putting this down and couldn't wait to get to the end. The only problem with that, was that it was the end. I would love for there to be a sequel to tell the story of the rehabilitation of society and human kind. Such a wonderful story. I have read Beautiful Disaster, Walking Disaster, and A Beautiful Wedding. I am a true Jamie McGuire fan now. Her ability to tell a story and captivate her reader is a true talent.

This is a great, fast paced book about people coming face to face with things only seen in Hollywood. Jamie Mcguire does a great job of grabbing your attention and having you hold your breath until the very last page! This is so much more then a zombie book!

I absolutely loved this book. I am not really into Zombies so I wasn't sure if I would like it but I knew that Jamie's books were always good. I was hooked on this book from the very beginning. Although, there are Zombies "Teds" this book is not really about them. It is a story about hope, love and family strength.

Another well written, intense book by an author I really dig. I am loving the fact that her mind can go to such different places. I can't wait to see where she will take me next!
Red Hill had me freaked out when I read outside after dark, my chill time after the kids go to bed. Like all of her books, I couldn't put it down. I feel like a part of the story.

Jamie McGuire has done it again, another fabulous book! I was somewhat hesitant because it is about zombies, but that isn't what the book is focused on. There's love, living and dying. I laughed and cried, but I loved Red Hill.

5 Stars. Jamie McGuire grabbed my attention from the start with her latest novel, Red Hill. Her novel focuses on three main characters, their stories and how they adapt to an outbreak of a pandemic virus which is the equivalent of the zombie apocalypse. The main characters are Scarlet, Nathan and Miranda, and Red Hill is told from their points of view. Jamie McGuire does an fantastic job of weaving their stories together until they converge at Red Hill Ranch.
Scarlet finds her way to Red Hill alone while hoping for the arrival of her two daughters. Nathan and his daughter, Zoe, arrive at Red Hill after meeting up with Miranda's group. Miranda is joined by her boyfriend, Bryce, her sister, Ashley, Ashley's boyfriend, Cooper, and Joey. Each of these character's stories are interesting and unique. Each separate character has endured struggles and is coping with the loss of loved ones and a new reality.
I feel the strength of Red Hill is found in the writing. I felt invested in each of the characters, including those that were secondary. It certainly seemed the author thoroughly researched for the scenes in the hospital, which gave credibility to the story. I normally do not read novels of this genre, but was pleasantly surprised with Red Hill, and I recommend!

So I totally LOVED!!!! This book. Scarlett is separated from her daughter's the day the world ends. Zombies aka Ted's have taken over the world and its every man for himself. I was pulled into this story of heroism, sacrifice, and above all else love. I am in total awe with the writing in this book. The scenes played out as if watch my favorite movie. Pick it up you won't be disappointed.

The storyline was five stars but just a few things, little things made me drop it to four. First, Miranda was mad at Joey for leaving the Glock on the table by the children and she commented that he had left the safety off. Glocks do not have safeties. Second, they are called magazines not clips. And third whatever happened to joy? She was trying to get the sliding glass door open to free her husband when everyone just jumped into the VW and left. Not another word was said about whatever happened to joy or why they left her. Good book though. I recommend it.

I really enjoyed this book, A zombie apocalypse and what people who do not know each other end up meeting and working together to stop the Zombies. I thought the story was well written and moved along nicely. I wish there was a bit more character development. I wanted to know more about the people, Nathan , Scarlet and Joey, maybe Jamie will write a follow up book...hint, hint.

Absolutely LOVED this book. Jamie McGuire has done it again and given me a completely different world to live in. I was hooked from beginning to end.... and it was not as predictable as I thought. I would highly recommend this book for anyone. Definitely had me emotional at times but then was quickly redirected into something new happening. Definitely 5 stars for this one.

Only my second zombie read ever. And it definitely is one of my favorite books of all time now! Jamie McGuire has a voice for so many different genres and I admire her for it. Red Hill was simply amazing, like all of her other books. Can't wait to read Among Monsters which comes out soon!!

I loved this book, but I love anything and everything from Ms. McGuire. You can't go wrong with her. She has it all, love, adventure, hold your breath action, and plot twists that keep it from being the same old-same old. This one was a bold change from her usual and she did not disappoint.

Different sort of style for Jamie McGuire but still loved it. The characters were easy to like and keep up with. The different view points from multiple characters is also kinda nice too because you always wonder what another person is thinking. Plus Jamie does a great job of tying all the characters story lines together.

I was hesitant to read this, because I was afraid it was going to be gory or too depressing. I was so thankful it wasn't and even happier I read it! It was a fantastic journey with amazing characters and their interactions and their reactions to the end of the world and their strength to survive. I couldn't put it down! Five stars!
