Although a bit slow is spots, good story and character development. Some interesting twists and a few were a bit obvious. The downside for me was it left unanswered several questions/issues that were raised during the story.

I enjoyed the story of this book. The characters are well drawn out and fit in the story. One mystery is solved, but you are left with another major one hanging. Probably could have been a 5 from me if it was a stand alone that concluded all the stories started. It's easy to read and a few stories within, realistic to police work, but not hard to follow.

Lee Dobbs is an author who can write and maintain a reader's interest in the story no matter which of her series you read. This series is one that sucks the reader in and keeps the desire to read more throughout the book.
Stone Groove (Dale Conley Action Thrillers Series Book 1) :: Naruto Box Set 3: Volumes 49-72 with Premium :: A Raisin in the Sun (Signet) by Lorraine Hansberry (1961-02-01) :: A Raisin in the Sun and The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window :: The Bishop's Pawn: A Novel (Cotton Malone)

I really liked this book slot!Perfect twist and turns,I could not put it down! Highly recommend. The characters come across as real life people, not perfect but some you will love others you you will love to hate....

Good characters and storyline. Fast-paced and well-written. The "bad guy" was predictable, but that is the only reason I didn't give this cozy mystery a five-star rating. Readers will want to find out how this story works out and read more.

Loved the book and just bought the next. Her books are well written and the characters are really good. I enjoyed the story line. I always try to figure out who done it but like Agatha Christy's books it is almost impossible. Recommend this book.

Well written introduction to a new series. Interesting back stories for the main characters. One of whom is really too special. Where does the insider knowledge come from? Will we find out in book two?

Dobbs has the start to another great series to follow. The characters are well defined and this book leaves them with hidden secrets for the reader to hopefully find in the next books. Now on to read book two.....

I really enjoyed the small town police force aspect of the story and following the logistical thinking of the small two full time cops. And trying to figure out the two back stories. It's a real shame the next two episodes in the series are not Kindle Unlimited!

LA Dobbs starts this series off with a light reading murder mystery. It ends with a mini cliffhanger, but allows you to be OK with it. As a series almost always has 1 piece not solved and segues into the next book.

excellent read full of twists and turns with a somewhat surprising ending. I could tell you more but I hate reviews that all but tell the entire story so let's just leave it with if you like fictional drama you will like this.

Police Chief Sam Mason is investigating a murder. His small staff are pushed due to the murder of one of their own. Everyone has secrets. Do you believe in justice or do you believe in following the letter of the law???

Held my attention from start to finish. Enjoyed the writing, the setting was part of the story and formed the characters also. Moved along at a fast pace and look forward to learning more about characters.

A cozy yet in some ways hard-boiled detective tale. Small town New England chief of police and his staff dealing with items from the ridiculous all the way to murder. Well told. Makes you want to see more of them.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It moved at a fast clip and allowed my mind to work on possible perpetrators. Happy to say, I did not figure it out. Though some of the explanations were a bit muddled, it was an enjoyable read.

Small town police department unexpectedly are short handed and a mysteries "drowning" adds pressure on Sam and Jo. Dobbs has a good story line but tends to be a bit redundant with some "character" details.

Fun read with a well done story line. Leaves just enough hanging to make you want to read the next book. But, is interesting enough with the mystery that it directly addresses. No x rated scenes to distract from the plot.
