All of the other reviews pretty much covered everything. Don't know if Ringo reads these reviews. If by chance, here goes. Shame, John Ringo. You have betrayed your fans. I served with 11th Special Forces Group and feel a kinship with another airborne trooper. There is no "flavor" of you in this book. Sorry, but I won't buy any more books co-written with another.

Excellent new edition in the Ghost story. It was worth the wait and a great way to escape the world for a while. It is a series where you really need to start at the start.I would have to say that John Ringo is right up there with the best Authors I have read over the last 20 years.I await further editions in this saga with great expectations.

I have been reading all of Paladin of shadow books and love John Ringo's action writing style. However, this book came up a little short for me. It didnt have the same feel of action for me and it did not develope the other subcharacters very well. If you read this series you know there is a lot of explicit detailed scenes. This book has them as well, but they where much darker than previous books which made it hard to read them. IT was still a good read but it seemed like it was written to satisfy market/contract demand versus really moving the characters you have come to enjoy forward. I still love John Ringo and will read his work in the future.

John Ringo has been one of my favorite authors and this is one of my favorite series. After being hooked by his SF, to have a totally different type of story come from the same author is amazing. As this is the latest, I can't even imagine what's next!

I enjoyed the development of the "Ghost" series of books, the fast pace, but the resolution on this story was less than what I was expecting. Multi-continent action, the Keldara characters are well done, but I think our protagonist is getting old, and he's not enjoying that. All in all, this continues the series, and I am curious to see where it goes. Will buy the next book.

Each individual segment was okay, but I didn't feel the segment added up to the same powerful ending that I'm used to from Ringo. It was more "the heros fight these guys, then those guys, then the other guys, hm, I don't remember why they're in this fight" rather than Ringo's usual "this fight lead to that fight which leads to this insanely over-the-top, one-man-goes-in-with-a-nuclear-hand-grenade fight, awesome!"
It still kept me up till 3am to finish it, though. And Ringo has introduced an interesting new character who will, I hope, make the Kildar's life more complicated in future books.

By far the least of the entire series. The storyline is marginal and the characters would be unmemorable if not for the previous books. If you miss reading this installment of the series, you will not be missing anything.

As usual, Ringo delivers on yet another action packed story full of twists and turns... Keep 'em coming John, they are much enjoyed and appreciated. I come to Chatt quite a bit and would happily stand for a good cigar!

The change of location for the series was a little strange at first. Didn't know if I liked it. That quickly changed. I thought this book made the on going story a little better. It seemed as if the usual cool and controled actions had been changed to not being in total control. A few new charactors added with interest for the future. Can't wait for the next.

This latest book in the "Paladin of Shadows" series is another [A+] for John Ringo.
This is a read in one sitting type of book. But I highly recommend reading this book in the order of the series. Yes, you could read it out of order but there are many references in it that won't make sense unless you've read the prior books. With that said, this is an Excellent book!

During a training exercise against Southeast Asian pirates...with real blood and bullets...a boix is recovered. It's contents suddenly send the politically-deniable Harmon and his Keldara on the trail of the mysterious source of the box's contents. Satisfyingly violent and a rapid read as with all the Mike Harmon books, notwithstanding their length.

Although it is not his best effort the beer distributorship alonre is woth the price. Definitely releases the beast when the action starts and it rolls to the ugly conclusion. I do prefer the Mountain Tigers with their feet on the ground somewhere in Georgia.

Like the accurate military and equipment components. Have read all the Paladin series and liked each one. Mike is an excellent character mixing his darkness with his constant battle against it. Thomas

This book which continues the Kildar storyline was quite good. The authors wrote this episode with very little back story. The reader had to be a lover of the series to be able to jump in without being bewildered by who is who. The book carried the characters into another fine adventure with big foes to bring down and action to get. Still, it did not pop as the earlier novels did. Very worthy to read for a Ringo fan; and anyone who needs more Kildar. Just expect a little darker book.

Great continuation of the story started with Ghost. I've always liked the characterizations of the side characters and this flesh's out some of the earlier ties in previous books. I like the way this series has been building an organization and this sixth book increases the quality of the text imo. More detailed descriptions and focus on important topics then previous books.

Good thing that "Worshington"(Low class Inside the belt-way pronunciation) doesn't know where John really lives, else they would be on him in a New York Minute! I really Loove the way he has the bad guys dispatched...

I have enjoyed the entire Paladin of Shadows series and this did not disappoint. The story is good, not equal to a couple
of the others but very readable and enjoyable. I will continue to buy anything John Ringo puts out!!

The book starts out well, but the ending sucks. Too many unbelievable escapes from a prison, and stopping a rebellion and capturing the bad guys. The ending for a few of the books has been weak, and this one is no exception.

Read them all and enjoyed them all. This one was no different. I agree that it did not quite have the impact of the others, but it continued the story and introduced some new characters. Looking forward to the next one.
