Once again, Catherine Coulter has written a great book in the FBI series continuing with her main characters. Her books are always easy to read and hard to put down. Finished this one in about 2 days. If you've enjoyed her previous FBI books, you'll love this one!

I'm almost finished with this book and have found I'm having trouble keeping all the characters straight but it could be my fault as spring has sprung (finally) in our area and the only time I get to read is after I go to bed at night.

A page turner from beginning to end. The characters were well developed and the plot kept me guessing to the end. The love of Savich and Sherlock remains strong and true. An excellent sequel to Coulter's, "The Target". I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery.

I could read Catherine Coulter FBI Thrillers all day everyday. She is a very talented story-teller. Her FBI series is the best. Suspenseful, exciting, thrilling, fast moving and more! This book definitely lived up to my expectations.

I just love the Savich and Sherlock series and this one did not disappoint! It keeps you on the edge of your seat and staying up late to finish it. I read it in 2 days! Highly recommend this thriller series. You really start to feel you know the characters Savich and Sherlock and want to know more about their life when not solving crimes.

After reading all of Baldaccii, David Connelly, Lee Child and Robert Crais books, I decided to try something different. Start a new series. I would definitely go back and read more of Catherine Coulters works after reading Backfire.

Catherine Coulter includes the right combination of suspense and humor to make it impossible for the reader to put down a book. Throw in a few unexpected twists and you're hooked. Nothing else will get done until you've finished the book.

A good storyline that uses past characters so we learn how they have grown...however it was a little slow in parts and too long in others. A little extra editting would have benefitted the book. Not one I would necessarily read again.

The book is fun yet maintains Catherine Coulter's story line with Sherlock and Savich. There was a lot going on with multiple murders and murderers, but was still easy to follow along with the story.

Although there are some scenes in this book that are rousing,, I found it less so than some of the previous novels in this series. Maybe it's just that familiarity with the series leaves me expecting too much. That said, it's still very entertaining.

Always a good read. Full of action and suspense to keep you turning the page. Can't seem too get enough of Sherlock and Savich. Also enjoy the new characters mixed with old friends. Keep them coming Catherine!

Good novel, not one of Catherine's best, but still interesting reading. I've read all of her FBI Thrillers and particularly like the fact that many take place in a West Coast venue, which is appreciated since I am a California native.

If you like action-packed suspense, non-stop action, with just a bit of romance added in, this is the read for you. Strong, rich characters, great plot, and sub-plot will keep you turning pages until the end.

Lots of 5 star reviews called this an action packed page turner. I kept turning the pages waiting for the action. High point was a shooting in an elevator. It was also amusing to see the in-depth analysis performed (NOT) that morphed Sue from a woman to a man, and then to Chinese man named Xiu,

Always look forward to another Catherine Coulter FBI adventure. This one met every expectation. The twists and turns every few pages kept the story moving and I love that I didn't know whodunit until the very last loose end was tied up with a bow. Can't wait for the next one with this believable, lovable and effective bunch of law enforcement people.

The characters have a real feel to them. Catherine Coulter gives you descriptions of each one, so you can actually picture them in your mind. She is one of my fav authors and I have read many books by her and own all of this particular series.

Once again Catherine Coulter hit the mark. I am a big fan of the FBI series...have been ever since I picked up my copy of "The Maze". I now have a copy of each of the FBI series and eagerly wait for each new book. The stories with their different trails keep me guessing until the end. I have a personal quirk of checking out the endings of books I buy...before I invest my time & effort into reading them. On the FBI series I don't do that. They keep me enthralled until the ending.
