I feel like this series is just getting better and better. In the beginning, we had main couples who fought the idea of being true mates and the last few have had more acceptance. In Wild Hunger, there was no pushing away and I loved it!
This couple was such a treat to read about. I get such a kick out of couples working together instead of against each other. To me, that kept the focus on the true angst of the story which is Frankie's past and the new threat to the Phoenix pack.
I'm really enjoying this series and seeing past couples together. If you enjoy dominant men that have possessive and protective streaks, this series for you. You can read these books as standalones but I do think you will enjoy them more if you start at the beginning and learn everyone's story.
It sounds like Bracken may be next but we still have Dominic without a mate as well. I don't think I will ever get tired of this series so I hope the author keeps them coming! ARC provided by NetGalley.

My biggest question with this book is what happened to Bracken?! I had to re-read, then go back and Google the eff out of this series to make sure I didn't miss anything. That was a HUGE plot point to drop and gloss over, especially in a series that is so involved in the pack/ally pack lives.
Frankie and Trick were great, I really appreciated that there wasn't any unnecessary miscommunication to further along the plot. I'm obvi a sucker for an HEA and that doesn't always mean I want my MC's to hate each other and battle 99% of the time. It's so nice to fall in love when the MC's do, experience their banter, and share the loved up moments. With Frankie and Trick, it seems so easy and so effortless, they just fall into each other and that is great.
The unsolved mystery lover in me would have loved a little more true crime and detective work vs. the truth suddenly appearing in the last 8% of the book but I don't sign up for this series for life changing read along. As much as I loved how both MC accepted their true mate destiny, it did kind of stall the book. Does that mean I want more push and pull/rejecting what is super obvious? NO! It was so refreshing to read a couple who recognizes the true mate bond and accepts it, but I wouldn't mind a little more action along the way. AKA preferably pack action aka preferably bad ass lady gang action.

Thoughts: Suzanne Wright is one of the authors that I automatically read whatever comes out by her. From Feral Sins (book one) and on, I have LOVED this series. I enjoyed Wild Hunger as well, though it wasn’t my favorite in the series. Trick was a bit to dominating and uber-bossy for me….and I am the one quick to state that a little roughness and domination is to be expected in shifter books. It’s werewolves. They have an animal side. I get it. But, wow, did Trick push all my buttons….I would have been defiant just for the sake of being defiant with this guy. I’ve always loved Trick, and for the most part he was great in this book, but he had moments where he just hit me the wrong way, particularly during sexy scenes. But it didn’t bother Frankie, who was an awesome character, and that’s what matters. They fit each other.
Overall, a good story and another strong addition by Wright.

So wonderful. I love these stories of the phoenix pack wolves. Suzanne Wright has done it again, yet another amazing read from her.
Love, love, love this author, I would literally read anything she writes at this point.
Her world filled with alpha-bossy males and kick-ass, sassy heroines has me captivated.
It was great to finally get Trick's story and find out how he meets his mate, half–wolf shifter Frankie.
Frankie was a personal delight for me, I really liked her personality and character . A little more fragile and not so in your face snarky as some of our other heroines in this series but with a sweetness and vulnerability that was refreshing.
Now I just have to survive until Suzanne's next release.
?????????????
ARC gratefully received in exchange for an honest review, but honestly I would have got on my knees and begged the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

Like most of Suzanne’s fans I have been patiently waiting to get Trick’s story. He has been a character that has intrigued me from the start. Quiet and mysterious we never really knew much about him beyond the little bit we got from Marcus’s book. I was really curious to see who he was and what he would be like when he found his true mate. I was pleasantly surprised.
Frankie, like the other females in this series, was amazing and strong. She stood on her own two feet and didn’t need anyone to fight her battles for her but at the same time knew when to back down to keep her male’s ego from getting bruised. Her story was much different from those we’ve encountered so far and left me guessing throughout the book who did it and who could we really trust?
As always these characters, new and old, fit together seamlessly making this a book that I couldn’t put down from start to finish.

I received an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. I was so excited about this book as I’m a big fan of the author and series. I loved Trick from the start and am happy to say he found his perfect match in Frankie who was not a weak willed women. Their connection while quick was balanced by their realistic attitudes toward each other. Frankie ‘s childhood was sad (even though the true story was hidden from her) she was not bitter about it and still loved her grandparents. I loved how Trick was so giving of his love, time, and understanding about who she really is. It’s quite refreshing to see an alpha male that was so intuitive about his partner and still caring and tender. But do not despair their is still plenty of heat between the two. Also I love to see all the familiar characters from the Phoenix and Mercury packs. The suspense was really blended well and I liked the little twist at the end. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for more.

Frankie is stuck between a rock and a hard place. She just found out she has a side of her family that she had no clue existed and when she confronts the family she does know... they want her to stay very far away from her newly found family.
Luckily for Trick, Frankie makes her own decisions and is not afraid to find out just why her new found family has stayed away for so long. Can Trick convince Frankie to accept her wild side and live with him happily every after? Read and find out!
I voluntarily read and advanced review copy of this book
Overall this book was great and for a great price. It was packed with heat, romance, action, suspense and mystery. I can honestly say that I thought I had it figured out and while I knew they why, I was shocked to see who ended up doing the horrible deeds of the past.

Any book Suzanne Wright releases is an automatic 1-click because I already know without reading the blurb or knowing anything about that it will be fan-freaking-tastic! And she delivered a action packed, heart stopping, witty and HOT as hell!
Trick is a little different from the other males in his pack, he is more than ready for his mate and knows that instinct will tell him who she is on the spot. He has no hold ups on being mated and is more than ready. That was super refreshing and a nice change. It was nice to really get a fell for him too since he's always been more quiet and in the background.
Frankie is very independent and a very talented artist. With the drama in Frankie's family intense, Trick was very patient and understanding with her realizing she needed a little more time to accept their bond. Together they are perfect and my god did things get HOT!

Love this series from Ms. Wright. The characters are always fun and engaging and the first-time are off the charts hawt!
This story featured Trick and Francesca (Frankie). I liked the two of them together and, although there wasn't a lot of the usual angst and drama about whether or not they were fated mates, there was still plenty of heat along with some danger and suspense. I was a little surprised at who Trick's mate was, I thought he would be in a menage relationship (since it's well known he liked both makes and females). Still though, I quite enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one.
Note: although this book is a stand-alone, I recommend reading the other books in the series for maximum enjoyment.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley but my thoughts and opinions are honest and my own.

I have not read previous books in the series. The review is based only on my thoughts about Wild Hunger.
This author created a well-written story about shifters with twists that made me yelp from surprise!
The world is created carefully with a lot of details that added a lot to the amount of pleasure I was experiencing.
Frankie I a half shifter. She was kept away from them - she was living among humans all her life. I loved her character, but I would add more distress to her mind during getting to know her heritage as a shifter.
Trick is a wolf in Phoenix pack, he is so dominant and yet gentle with Frankie! I LOVE HIM! And he is a shifter so loyal and protective.
The overall well-written story with great characters that will mesmerize every fan of shifters romances.

Wild Hunger by Suzanne Wright is book Seven in The Phoenix Pack series. This is the story of Frankie Newman and Trick Hardy. I haven't yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Frankie who was once a part of pack but after the traumatic death of her mother and Father. Her human family came for her and she has lived as a human. But after getting a email she goes back to help solve what she can't remember that happened during that awful time. The she meets Trick again and their is a instant attraction between them. Trick of course starts to see that Frankie is his true mate but he has to move slowly with her.
Exciting read...makes me need to go read the other books!!

I love Suzanne Wright. I mean she is the absolute best at writing female characters. I mean the absolute best at it! I LOVED Frankie. She was just so chill and down to Earth and funny with out trying. And Trick was well.. Trick. He was sweet.. thats right sweet! And the mouth on him whoo! No seriously his dirty talk was on point. I loved that he knew right away that Frankie was his mate. I loved that we got a whole book of him "wooing" her. I loved that Frankie didn't fight it. It was just an all around fantastic book.
Also there was as scene where the Phoenix girls get wasted and that includes Gretta! I promise you don't want to miss that!
I received this book from the author.

Frankie Newman's mother was human and her father was a wolf shifter. When she was three her father killed her mother and then himself. Her maternal grandparents whisked her away, blaming the shifters for her mother's death and keeping Frankie away from her father's family.
When alpha wolf Trick Hardy meets her, he knows she is his true mate, but he also knows he has to tread carefully. She hasn't grown up with shifters, doesn't know that side of her nature, and her family hates shifters.
I liked how Trick took his time with Frankie, spending time with her without pressuring her. I wasn't thrilled with the ending, although Frankie and Trick do get their HEA.

Whenever I’m craving paranormal shifters, The Phoenix Pack always hits just the right spot. Wild Hunger was a fun and sexy return to the pack I’ve come to love over the last six books, and a beautiful look into Frankie and Trick’s love story. In exploring the difficulties in growing up without associating with your kind, Wright took a strong female suffering through a sense of abandonment and gave her the agency to find what she’d been missing. That it so happened to come with a man who supported and cared for her was just a bonus—but boy, did they go together well. There were elements of suspense, mystery, and a lot of romance, and I enjoyed every aspect and gobbled it up quickly.

I have to start by saying I love this Author and one of the main reasons is because she always gives me something different and wonderful in her stories. This time she gave us
Trick Hardy and Frankie Newman, a beautiful and honest couple. I loved the uncomplicated relationship between them, the situations around them were complicated, intriguing and interesting. But them as a couple was uncomplicated and beautiful. It was nice to read a story where you knew the relationship was honest and easier then most. She gave me a couple that supported each other and above all respected each other. The drama around them kept me on my toes and intrigued . The worst thing I can say about this book is it ended.

I have been waiting for Trick's story and Suzanne did not hold back anything. From the moment Trick sees Frankie he knows she belongs to him. Frankie lives her life through her art never knowing why her mind creates such dark and beautifully scary pieces. Frankie's life is upended when a long lost relative she didn't know exists reaches out with a request. Trick helps Frankie navigate through the lies as their relationship grows. Of course there has to be all kinds of twists thrown in too that brings the Phoenix and Mercury packs together. I highly recommend Wild Hunger and the rest of the Phoenix Pack series and Mercury Pack series. Go get lost in the world of shifters. <3

This is the seventh book in the Phoenix pack series. My love for this series grows with each new book and new addition to the pack. This is Trick and Frankie's story. Their mating was very low angst compared to the other couples in pack because Trick has always been ready for his mate and Frankie is half shifter. They do have to deal with Frankie's human family who have been lying to her for her whole life. This book had all the great elements of a Suzanne Wright story plus added mystery surrounding Frankie's past.
Love this series and loved this book. Can't wait until we get Dom's story.

Another Phoenix Pack book, another great read from Suzanne Wright. I really enjoyed Trick and Frankie's mating dance. There was no - oh I don't want to, etc .... They took their time and had a relationship, and learned about each other. It was refreshing, and real. The interesting part of this story was that Trick was paired with a female. Throughout most of the series it seemed his mate would definitely be a male. The good thing is this was not shied away from, and it was addressed.
I have been reading Suzanne Wright from the beginning and will continue to read her. She never disappoints.

I loved seeing Trick finally find his mate. I felt I got to see a different side of him with his mate,Frankie, then we do with all his pack mates and allies. The sex scenes were smoking hot. I loved Frankie. She was his perfect match of course. Her art is described so well, that I could see it in my head. Frankie is different than the females in her own way, but mixes in with the Mercury pack easily. I enjoyed this book. I cannot wait to get Dominic’s book and to see who finally ends up with him.

I loved coming back to Phoenix Pack territory and big time enjoyed Trick and Frankie’s story! There is plenty of what we have come to love in this story humor, hot sex, drama and build up for the next story...which I personally hope is a trip to Mercury pack and Brackens story. Lovers of Suzanne Wright’s work will be sucked right back into this amazing world she’s weaved and if you haven’t read any of her stuff go back and start with Trey and Taryn!

Wild Hunger is a paranormal romantic suspense that I really enjoyed. I’ve not read the others in this series (yet) but it didn’t affect my enjoyment in the least. Half–wolf shifter Frankie was raised by her maternal grandparents after being orphaned when she was three. They don’t know how to deal with her wolf side or her artistic side or pretty much anything she does. When she is contacted by an Aunt she never knew existed Frankie sets on a journey that will teach her of her past and create her future.
I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good romantic mystery.

Half wolf shifter, Frankie Newman didn't realize she'd been lied to her whole life. Now, her mate, Trick Hardy has found her and is slowly helping her realize the disservice her grandparents have done to her.
Someone doesn't like that she's looking into her parent's death, and therefore threaten her life. As always, Trick and his pack protect their own. The action is breathtaking and the romance is hot and steamy.
I love Suzanne Wright's stories. There is a happy ending, but the characters have to go through hell to get there.

If he had sex with Marcus more than once, that makes them bisexual. I'm done with this. I don't like my male or female hero's being bisexual. I don't like reading about same sex relationships.
I'm am not bisexual, wouldn't date a guy who was. So I don't want to read my romance about one. This ruin Marcus for me also.

Frankie thinks that she has no other family and finds out her grandparents and uncle lied to her. She is taken from her shifter family and raised as a human. Her shifter family finds her and she meets Trick. He knows that she is his mate immediately. Their relationship is strained because of the lies she was told and she is torn between her two families. She comes face to face with the truth of her parents deaths and the reveal is so unexpected. Great story, did not see that twist coming!!! I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book

What can I say other than Suzanne Wright is one of my top five writers, she never disappoints. Her stories and character's always pull me in and take me for ride with them. I enjoyed how most of the story conflict came from outside the relationship and that the relationship between Frankie and Trick was smooth. Having said that it was a wee bit too smooth, at least for me but other than that I loved it.

I find it difficult to really enjoy paranormal romance, because there's always something that I can't agree with, or the way certain paranormal species are portrayed don't suit my ideal image.
Suzanne Wright always delivers when it comes to giving domineering alpha-male wolf shifters. And while some readers would consider her shapeshifter novels repetitive, I appreciate it, because it means I know what quality of writing and story telling I will receive.
I know there will be over protective and dominant alpha males; a sassy, independent heroine; humorous banter; someone will have a scent that resembles a combination of three random things. Wright's stories follow a formula to some degree.
But that's okay.
I enjoyed Wild Hunger. Protective male wolf shifter. Strong heroine. Decent plot line that wrapped everything up nicely. Steamy, hot sex scenes.
Trick is different from the other males of Phoenix Pack. Where they all seemed to be apprehensive or almost terrified of finding their true mate, Trick is ready. He knows what to expect, what to do.
So when Trick meets Frankie Newman again, he knows he needs to tread carefully.
When Frankie is contacted by a family member she doesn't remember, a lot of questions surface about her identity and true family history. She has no recollection of her childhood. She realises she's been lied to, making her feel more alone than ever. But the Phoenix Pack are determined to show her that she does have a family that cares.
Despite having grown up isolated from other shifters, and resembling a human more than anything else, Frankie is in tune with her wolf.
In Wild Hunger, Trick and Frankie doesn't show the same resistance to being mated the way the other pack members have. No hurdles, no pushing and pulling, or reaching sudden conclusions; they just know. It is quite refreshing!

Suzanne Wright was as amazing as always! With witty characters, an interesting plot, a mystery villain, and a paranormal love - this book is sure to be a favorite for fans of Wright.
While reading the Phoenix Pack Series, I liked Trick, but I was never salivating for his story. When I realized this story was going to be Trick's, I was not super excited. Of course, because it is Suzanne Wright, I was wrong! I really loved it.
What did I love? Well, mostly it was Trick and Frankie together. They had great chemistry, were cute together, and just worked really well together overall. I know Wright uses a type of formula when it comes to her heroes and heroines, but I think she mixed it up a little with Trick and Frankie - read and find out how!
The plot was good, if simply formulaic (compared to her other stories). It seemed as if the plot took a minute to take off, but once it did, all I did was try to figure out who was the villain.
What else did I like? I liked seeing more of the other characters - they are always great. I hope Bracken's book is next, even if it is in another series.

I loved Trick and Frankie! They were perfect together even though Frankie struggled to figure out her past. Trick was much stronger than I gave him credit for although his parents did irritate me some. Frankie's human family I wanted to punch, they were that horrible. I loved that Trick didn't have the hang ups about mates that the others guys had thus far. It was refreshing for him to know that Frankie was his mate and what he needed to do in order to help her know it.

As always Suzanne draws you into her world of Paranormal Romance! I couldn't put down...I absolutely loved how dominant trick was and also loved the intrigue, romance, steamy scenes, and of course all the wolves! And as always I want more so hopefully we get some more....fingers and toes crossed! Lol. Great job Suzanne?????

This novel did not disappoint. I loved it! From the very first page until the very last this novel sucked me in and would not let go. I loved the chemistry between the characters. I loved the dialogue and the banter. This novel kept me guessing and I loved getting to check in on characters from the previous novels. So good!

I love Frankie and Trick. I have been waiting for Trick to get his own book for years. I like that Frankie is perfectly happy without Trick in her life but Trick makes her life that much better by being there and listening to her. Trick does little things that Frankie does not realize she needs help with.

Shifters, humans, jealousy, secrets and lies; everything a good paranormal romance should have. “Wild Hunger” is a tale of a half shifter Frankie who was taken away from her rightful pack after the murder/suicide of her parents. Her grandparents and Uncle raised her to hate her shifter father and his pack, but Frankie knew something was missing in her life. She never measured up to her grandparent’s expectations even though she was a renowned sculptress. Frankie receives an e-mail from her father’s sister inviting her to her paternal grandmother’s home. Her other grandmother is dying and wants to see her just once. Frankie agrees to meet at a café with her Aunt, but makes no promise to see her grandmother. At the café she meets Trick, another pack member. Frankie’s wolf senses his wolf is special. Trick recognizes right away that Frankie is his mate; she just doesn’t know it yet. Frankie has been plagued with nightmares since her parent’s deaths. She was three years old and was present when it happened, but she doesn’t remember. Once Frankie visits her grandmother at the Phoenix Pack homestead her life begins to change in ways she never dreamed of. Will Frankie eventually recognize her mate? Will she remember that tragic day in her childhood? Will the lies she has been told in the past be revealed? Read the book to find out. I think you will enjoy the characters; complex, strong and believable. The story is interesting and entertaining. There was a bit too much graphic sex, but maybe that is what shifters are into. Enjoy!

Thanks Netgalley for a ARC from Montlake Romance Publishing in exchange for an honest opinion.
Frankie Newman is a half shifter who grew up without a pack thanks to her grandparents. After the death of her parents at a young age the grandparents succeed on raising Francesca away from the influence of other pack memebers. Recently though since her paternal grandmother is very ill and has days to live they contact her for last wishes of the grandmother.
Trick Hardy has kept a subtle eye on Frankie and her artwork. Seeing her though for the first time after many years and something clicks. He knows instantly that she is his mate. He knows that he has to be patient with her until she realizes him for what he is and grows to trust him.
I enjoyed this book but a few things put me off. First there is some M/M romance concerning Trick which is kind of off putting since he is so alpha. He goes on to say he isn't gay... but he has had sex with men. It also warred with me how he treated Frankie sometimes and she just kind of accepts it. Some things I did like though... I felt like Frankie's dark art was a really cool aspect and felt that added to the book. I gave it three and a half stars of entertainment!

I was wondering when Trick would get his turn! Wow this might be one of my fav couples of the series. They were so open to mating with no drama or denying it.
I found it refreshing. Though, I am now wondering about Bracken so hopefully his story is next

Loved it. I loved Frankie's character. Loved how strong she was mentally and didn't let her grandparent and uncle control her life or try to guilt her into what they wanted her to do. Love when grown women stand firm in their decisions. Well done Ms. Wright!

As always, a good story. Two very likable wolves who don't spend their time denying their nature. The ending had a little twist to it.
Trick is a fierce wolf. He has always accepted that there was a mate out there for him and had no intention of fighting it. When Frankie is reunited with members of her old pack, he knows instantly that she is his true mate. Due to her traumatic past, he is will wait until she realizes it herself.
Frankie has been lied to all her life. Her human family kept her parents' death a secret from her. Events she doesn't remember. They have never been all that accepting of her choices in life and to some degree that she is half wolf. She doesn't let that stop her. She is a talented artist and comfortable with who she is. She tries to keep Trick at a distance but it doesn't last long.
Reuniting with her family and pack puts Frankie in danger.

As always Suzanne Wright really is captivating. Never imagined Trick’s story going quiet like this. Then again Suzanne is full of surprises! Really felt for the couple through their trials and soared with them in their happiness! I cried when things seemed so bleak. I felt I was right there with them. Great book! Can’t wait for Eli story and Dominic story to come out.

I listened to the audiobook and I love the narrator for this series. Wild Hunger (The Phoenix Pack, #7) was a quick enjoyable read and I love revisiting will old characters while getting the new story.
Please RateWild Hunger (The Phoenix Pack Book 7)
Frankie is a half shifter wolf who was reared by her maternal grandparents after witnessing her parents deaths when she was 3 or 4. She is not connected to a pack, and her relationship with her grandparents is up and down. Out of the blue, she receives an email from a paternal relative that starts a snowball effect. Everything she knows will be challenged.
I enjoyed Trick's and Frankie's story. I did not want to put the book down. The secondary conflict did not detract from the story. It felt like life, I liked that Frankie wasn't rude or naive. She pieced things together and used common sense . I enjoyed seeing a different side of Trick. Trick compliments Frankie and their relationship shows it. It was nice to see both packs interacting again. Its always nice to see the old characters and find out what has happened to them.
I would recommend this book and series. I think you could read this book as a stand alone, but reading the series will give you background information about each characters trials.
