Dante! My heart has been broken for Dante for quite a long time and I just didn’t know if there was ever going to be a way for him to smile or live again after his world was violently ripped away from him by an accident caused by his very own sister. Dante has so much capacity to love but he shut it all off due to the death of his wife and first two daughters. For years he’s lived a solitary life, his pain dulled by alcohol and rarely any interaction with anyone else, including his brothers. One drunken night he seeks human contact unbeknownst to him that night will result in a beautiful baby girl that will process of him loving and living again. Upon receiving Mary from her mother who is dying, Dante promises the mother that he will take care of Mary, his heart starts to open up to Mary but the pain of his losses is still there and he is still struggling to find a balance to be the father Mary needs and deal with his grief.
Cobie, Mary’s mother’s best friend. Cobie has had her own tough road in life, she’s fought and survived cancer once, only to get it again. Cobie has decided she doesn’t think she wants to fight it again and she is just going to let the cancer take it’s course. Cobie is a woman who is strong, loving and the kind of person everyone loves.
Through their connection to Mary, Dante and Cobie become friends. When Dante learns Cobie isn’t going to fight her cancer he convinces her to by uttering some of the sweetest words ever written in a book "The world would be a lesser place without you in it." I melted instantly! Dante and Cobie navigate the way from friends to lovers in a way that makes you fall in love with them and their love. Mary is absolutely adorable and brings love and joy to everyone who meets her.
Lani Lynn Vale took Hail Mary to a whole ‘nother level. The emotions and healing is this book are stronger and deeper than in any of her previous books. The romance was sweet and very rewarding. Throw in a twist that I never, ever saw coming and Hail Mary goes on my list of 2018 Favorite Reads!

Hail Mary

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 Review by Kristie K
Another captivating and enthralling Hail brother gets under your skin in Hail Mary, a heartbreaking and beautifully seductive tale in the Hail saga…
Dante Hail knows what hell looks like…he’s lived it for the past two years. You think you understand the depths of hell? You ain’t seen nothing… After losing his wife and two beautiful girls in a senseless car accident, Dante has traveled hell’s highway with nothing but the sharp, jagged edges of his shattered heart to keep him company. The pain and devastation rule his world, take over his soul, and force him to withdraw from everything and everyone he ever knew. Drowning in his own pool of misery, Dante gets the shock of his life…and finds his salvation in the form of a beautiful blonde haired angel that has his eyes. The day that Mary Persephone Hail shows up on his doorstep is both the beginning and the end of Dante Hail. With a deathbed promise, destructive secrets, and hidden dangers surfacing with the dawn of every new day, Dante steps out and up into what could be his final destruction…or his salvation.
Hot dayum! Lani Lynn Vale has done it again! Hail Mary is the sixth installment of the amazing Hail Raisers series. Following the heartbreaking story of Dante Hail, Ms. Vale takes us on a soul searing journey through the devastating loss of his family…and the beautiful souls that pull his phoenix out of the ashes. An emotional journey from start to finish, Hail Mary will make you laugh, cry, scream, sweat, cringe, and smile. Ms. Vale has a tremendous talent for storytelling, and brings the characters and story to life with her words. A devastating and unique plot and storyline is only the beginning. Throw in the incredible characters, heartwarming relationships, broken pasts, and unwavering love of family, and you have a true winner. Every new installment I read, I don’t think Ms. Vale can top what she’s already given us…but she does it. Every. Time.

Finally! Finally, we get Dante’s story!
Make sure that you have some tissues. You WILL need them. I did.
Even though this is a standalone, this is book number six in the series. I do suggest you read the other books. You’ll get the build up for this book and you’ll see just how far Dante fell because of the loss of his wife, Lily, and his two little girls.
If it wasn’t for Mary, Dante wouldn’t be back. Who would have thought that this beautiful, special little girl could, and would, save him.
My heart has been broken for Dante since I learned what happened to his family in one of the previous series.
Marianne was brave. She was free because of Free. But she went back to try to get justice for her angel boy. She wasn’t going to be around long. She gave her daughter to Dante to keep her safe. Dante is her dad. A one night stand, filled with regret. But ended up saving him.
Cobie was Marianne’s best friend. Dante promised ot look after her. She has her own struggles and life changing decisions. She helped pull Dante back.
Drake is a giant douche nozzle. When he bragged about all he has done, I wanted to kill him myself! I would have strangled him!
This is a fantastic read! But there’s never any doubt when I get a new Lani book. I know I’ll love it, they just pull you right in and don’t let you out.
A must read!
“Stupid people are like glow sticks, I want to bend them in half until they break, and then shake the s*** out of them until their light turns on.” -Dante’s secret thoughts
Rafe’s book is set up perfectly and now I’m anxious to get my greedy little hands on it! Not sure I can wait until next month for it!!

Reviewed For I'm A Sweet And Sassy Book Whore
Before I even started Hail Mary I knew it was going to be a book that had the potential to absolutely destroy me and it did. I cried more than once for Dante, Mary and Cobie, I cried for them separately, I cried for all Dante has lost, I cried for Mary for not knowing her mother, and I cried for all that Cobie goes through, and then I just cried for all of them at once. This is a beautiful emotional heart breaking and healing story.
Now normally for a book from Ms. Vale I will write a pretty long review, but this time I am not going to do that. There is too much that I can accidentally give away or spoil and that is the last thing I want to do. I have tried to find the absolute perfect words to express how much I loved Hail Mary but everything I have tried to write just hasn’t been good enough in my opinion. Therefore, I am just going to say this. From the very start of the series I have wanted to read Dante’s story, we never really got to see who he was until now. The buildup and wait was worth it because it made me love his character even more. If you are worried about reading this one please don’t be. Yes it is emotional, yes at times there is pain, but there is also a beautiful little girl named Mary that every time you see her name you can’t help but smile, there is healing, there is love and there is proof that sometimes the pain does get better.
Hail Mary is one of Lani Lynn Vale’s best books to date. I can’t say it enough how much I loved this book and this series and this is one I can easily recommend to be on your TBR lists.

5 Beautiful Stars
I love nothing better than a tortured, broken hero and man, does Dante Hail fit that profile to a T! If you have followed along with the series, then you know Dante lost his wife and daughters in a car accident two years before and has been drowning in his grief ever since. One drunken night has left him with the only thing capable of bringing out of that deep dark hole...baby Mary. Now with a renewed view on living, Dante is out to take care of Mary and keep his promise to her dying mother and look out for her best friend, Cobie.
This is probably the most anticipated read from LLV that I’ve had (besides Ghost) and I am in no way disappointed! A beautifully written love story between two people struggling to find reasons to go on living. They have both suffered so much loss in their lives, but somehow find the will to go on. Cobie exudes strength, even though in her own eyes, she’s as weak as they come. The bond Dante and Cobie share is undeniable and only proves to get stronger. I loved seeing the bond between Cobie and Mary as well. This book will hit you in all your feels, and make your eyes leak sometimes. It’s both heartwrenching and heartwarming. It’s angsty and full of such raw emotion that I could feel Dante’s pain seeping through my kindle. Watching this man pull his life back together and fall in love is absolutely amazing. Another fabulous read by one of my favorite authors of all time. Like I say every single time, if you haven’t read a LLV book before, start at the beginning and work your way through. You’ll be glad you did.

Marianne Garwood is having to do the hardest thing imaginable. Dante Hail has regrets and Cobie Cavanagh has been asked a question that hurts her heart.
I have enjoyed this series immensely and this book was just a reminder why. It also didn’t hurt that I’ve been waiting for Dante’s story. Our author took a serious moment and turned it around so I couldn’t help but let out a silent chuckle – a male coworker was in the lunchroom with me and I didn’t want to explain otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to hold it in.
This is a tender story, a sad story and a story of hope. Plus the biggest feeling is love and you’ll have no trouble seeing that here. The author even has time to add in action and suspense that just increased my enjoyment. But she also added in a scene that made me very angry because of how stupid some people can be. You think things are going to work out and you sit there reading with a smile on your face but then you realize that the author is saying in your ear, “I’m not quite done yet so pay attention”. And I did with a smile on my face but a frown appeared at the end – no hints as to whether this series is going to continue or not. If it doesn’t I’ll be sad for a little while but I can certainly go back and read this series again if I want a Hail family fix.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

The entire Hail Raisers Series I have been dying to get my hands-on Dante's book. This man seemed to have been put through so much Hail. I just had to know everything about him. There were just so many layers to Dante throughout the series that we only received a glimpse of until now.
Well, let me tell you. Lani Lynn Vale went all out in only Lani Lynn Vale fashion here people. This book gutted me more than once. Dante went through Hail more times than I care to mention. But this man is a fighter and he found a woman who is a fighter just like him.
Cobie Cavanagh need a man like Dante to pull her from her dark depths and make her fight. She also needed a little piece of his little light Mary to brighten her days as well. Cobie needed to realize that she would be missed and that loved did exist even if she did not think it was on the card for her.
The line: "The world would be a lesser place without you in it." completely shattered me in the best of ways. oh, my heart.
Dante and Cobie found a love that most dream of. It is constant and never wavered no matter what is going on around them. Their rock was always there for them. No judgment.
I must say that little Mary made me smile quite a few times. She reminded me of my nephew. They are precious angels.

The final book in the Hail Raisers Series ends the series on a very sweet note. The book focused on the couple, the romance, as well as a good plot. The story moved at a great pace, like a well oiled machine. I loved it. I feel like the series did struggle a bit and this book completely redeemed it. The main character Dante, he actually allowed me to have much needed insight into his thoughts, feelings and state of mind. He messed up and actually APOLOGIZED. This is huge! Throughout the series the make leads seemed very callous and unlovable. I LOVE DANTE! I love his daughter Mary. The female lead is one of the strongest and also a great favorite of mine. She was really inspired and inspiring! There was a delicious level of angst to be found between the main leads. I also consider the main leads to have a fantastic friendship that builds into so much more.
Chapter 21 took a crazy plot twist lol, I dont know why it has to get that crazy, the story was moving along at an amazing pace. It was an unnecessary speedbump. The bad guy may have been given too large a role towards the end. This did not take away from my enjoyment of the book.
Lastly, I cannot wait for Janie's story, I'm soooooooooooo excited for the next book! Way to go Lani Lynn vale!

Hail Mary is the newest release in Lani Lynn Vale’s Hail Raisers series. It is the story of broken brother Dante and Cobie, a woman who has given up on life. Dante has had to deal with the loss of his wife and two daughters, so he’s become a virtual hermit. But a one night stand produces a second chance at life for him.
Cobie has had a life of pain and loss. When she finds out that more heartbreak is coming her way, she decides to throw in the towel, but Dante Hail gives her a reason to live, but the two of them have to get through a few bumps in the road. One of them being bigger than they ever thought. Drake Jackson just might be more dangerous than anyone knows.
I really love the emotion Ms Vail brings out of the reader in her books, and I think out of all of the books in the series, this one might pack quite the punch. Granted, I am not a huge fan of characters getting pregnant from one night stands, before marriage, and birth control “failure”, and there seems to be a whole lot of it going on in this book, probably to catch an emotional response from the reader. Not so much from me after Mary. Still, a great read.

To say I’ve been waiting what seems like forever for this book is no exaggeration. Dante has been on the fringes and really made my heart ache for him for so many books I couldn’t wait to dive into his story. And then we meet “his woman” and my heart aches all over again. Cobie is a strong woman who doesn’t even realize how much she needs someone like Dante.
This book was better than others because I found myself immersed in the story before I ever started reading. I loved Dante because I saw his love for Mary in the last book. I was heartbroken for his losses and hopeful for his future. Cobie was a bright spot for him that he wasn’t ready for, but still accepted because it was his heart that was guiding him.
There were definitely ups and downs in this book. There were moments I was scared. Moments I laughed out loud. And moments I cried with them. This book just gave me so many feels that it’s hard to articulate them, but just know you should totally read this book. (And though it can be a stand-alone, I think the other books just give it that much more edge.)

Dante is still dealing with the devastation that has become his life since his wife and daughters passed away. He won’t allow anyone close to him to share his grief and although he is alive he is not living. His life turns on a dime when he finds out that he is a father of a beautiful daughter, Mary, as a result of a one night stand whose mother, Marianne, is passing away from cancer. Marianne has also asked that he check on her best friend Cobie.
Cobie is a woman who has her own troubles. She has been fighting a battle and is about to give up when Dante and Mary enter her life and they give her hope and inspiration to go on. A friendship develops between the two but will Dante be able to move past the love he had for his deceased wife and be willing to open his heart up to someone else?
This is a wonderful story about the healing power of a little girl who inspires them to face the future with hope and love. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book.

Praise the Lord for Mary!!! This little girl has brought so much joy to so many. The fact that she saved Dante (her daddy) is the most amazing thing ever.
After losing his wife and little girls, Dante didn’t see a way of life. He just existed. That is, until the day that Mary was dropped into his life. Literally. Then there is Cobie. Sweet, sweet Cobie with a life that she wanted to give up on. Being sick is not what she wanted again. But Dante, oh Dante ... he saves the day.
I can’t wait for you to read this book. It’s nothing short of amazing. The love, the compassion, the heartache and the sadness. I will tell you that I cried for the first few chapters. Get the tissues ready, because Dante, Mary and Cobie are coming for you!! Lani knows exactly how to evoke every single emotion from you. Per usual, another successful story from this beautiful author!!

Dante-A totally broken man who has lost everything.
Cobie- A woman who had been through hell with no will to live.
Can it get any sadder?
Yep and it did but somehow a love bloomed and a family was made.
Second chances for life, love and happiness.
This book brought me to tears multiple times such sad and heartbreaking circumstances but most of my tears came in scenes with a precious little girl named Mary.
Perfectly titled book because that little girl saved him, brought her and made them both whole. Definitely a Hail Mary!!
I loved this story so must you would think with all the pain and suffering in the story it would be depressing but the author wrote it in such a way that it gave you hope. You were sad for but cheering for this couple. They had been through so much they needed some happy.

A heart wrenching but heart warming story of family, love, loss, and a little lady named Mary. Dante is a man whose whole world collapsed when his wife and children were tragically killed in a car accident two years previously.. he cut himself off from everyone until the day Mary comes into his life and teaches him how to feel again. Cobie is a lady who comes into his world like a whirlwind he wasn't expecting, but he was there for her at her weakest and their connection grew from friend to something more which caught them both off-guard. This book will capture your heart and imagination, you will be on the edge of your seat until the very last page as this story has so many twists and turns, highly recommend another great Hail Raiser novel.

Received an ARC at no cost to author..Prepare yourself for tears so keep the box of tissues handy. Since the first Hail Raisers book, I have been anxiously awaiting Dante's book, and we finally got it and Lani did wonderful. She got us to feel so much emotion, your heart breaks. We know that Dante lost his wife and kids and he has been a broken man. One night he sleeps with Marianne and gets her pregnant, a while later she drops of baby not because she is a bad mother but because she is dying (oh god) and this baby saves Dante. Marianne also asks that he take care of her best friend Colby..God the tears, I can't tell you more, but you need to read.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Hail Mary is a story filled with hope, second chances and unconditional love.
Dante is lost & not really living anymore. He's stuck, and won't move on from the deaths of his wife and two little girls. However, the baby girl placed on his doorstep serves to drag him back to reality much more quickly than he planned. The sub-plot woven into the story line was also made for very interesting reading. The wry humour in the chapter prefaces were entertaining.
I clearly missed out on a very entertaining series by Lani Lynn Vale, and have a lot to catch up on.

It starts off very sad with Colbie’s friend dying and having to move on. And then she starts to get really close to her friend’s husband and daughter. The way Lani was able to tell the story just goes to show her skill. The characters were unsure of this attraction and they wanted to be respectful to the passed loved one, but also true to themselves. It was written in a very emotional and loyal way instead of something that could have turned bizarre and hurtful. Definitely another must read by this author!

I was apprehensive on Dante's book. Dante has had such a rough time lately he is such a broken man & this book gives us more of his side to his brokenness. I loved reading this storyline, but is was such a hard book to read at the same time. The hurt, the sadness mixed with the crazy lunatic attacking Dante & Cobie just makes this book such an intriguing story. LLV is such a fantastic writer that no matter how hard a story is to read, she is able to write it so a reader can't stop. I loved this book & it is such a great accompaniment to the rest of the Hail series!!

Finally Dante's long awaited stories. A man that mourned the lost of his family for years and could not pull himself out of the funk. One drunken night a mistake that lead to the birth of his miracle baby Mary. Now Dante wants to live he has someone to live for care and protect. The baby was left to him by her sick mother that was dying. Marianne has a very sick ex husband that may have killed their young son. She had one unforgettable night with Dante and then she ran, her one friend Cobie a nurse has also battled cancer which lead to the women being close.
Cobie has no one after the death of her grandfather. Everything she thought she knew about her friend she didn't. The one man whom she thought was a good husband may have just not have been. Now he has his sights on her. Drake is dangerous but is good at hiding his true self. With some investigating in his part Dante finds out some suspicious things about Drake and he realizes Cobie may need protection and he promised Marianne he would look after Cobie also. He helps Cobie through the hell she goes through and gives her the will to survive, even when he still not so sure about himself and has still not given up on his lost.
With Drake on their backs and their feeling for each other starting to develop Cobie and Dante have some obstacles to go through before they can think of even being together. But with Dante denying his feelings will he put aside his grief and go for the woman that now has his heart.
This story is an emotional read. I've read all the stories in this series and this is easily one of my favorites. It's full of emotion and depth. You feel fir Dante and Cobie.Cibie with her battles and she did not even have the will to live at first she had no one. Dante he at least had his daughter Mary his saving grace and his family if he would let them in. I easily fell in love with this story and could not put it down. I loved it from the beginning till the end and wanted Dante and Cobie and sweet little Mary to get their happily ever after.
