15 Paperback Book Boxed Set - Roald Dahl Collection

I bought this collection for my eleven year old daughter, and I've been pleasantly surprised to find that all 3 of my readers have been enjoying the books! These books are classics and should definitely be added to your children's library.

I am a 3rd grade teacher that previously taught kindergarten and needed to get some more age appropriate books for my students. I loved Roald Dahl books growing up so I thought this would be a good set. I let the students check these out to take home and return. They were very excited when they came and months later they are still interested in them. I am really pleased with this purchase and think these books are great for vocabulary development and independent reading.

My 7 year old saw Charlie and the Cholocate Factory at the store and asked if he could have it. I decided to check online for a better deal and came across this pack. The books are all great quality print, but I wish the box sleeve was a bit better quality. Got it out of the shipping box and my son dropped it out of exitement. The only other challenge is removing and replacing the books back in the sleeve. Overall a very good set and he is loving reading them.

My 4 year old and I are LOVING this collection. We started off with the thinnest books because I was afraid she wouldn't stay interested in them but we have finished 3 books in just over a week! The small (or sometimes large) illustrations help keep her captivated. Each book ends with the same bonus extras about the author which are interesting enough but not for a four-year old lol. The books are a really tight fit in the container and I find I have to take one out before I stick the next one in. But that would be the only CON! :)

I remember reading some of these books as a kid. I originally got on the store to but The BFG but I saw this whole collection and got them instead and I'm glad I did. They are paperback but I like them. The pages are white instead of that gray newspaper color, so that is nice. They also have little pictures throughout the books which helps when you're reading them to a 6 year old.

My son is in first grade and has discovered a love of reading. When he found out that Matilda was a book, not just a movie, he was dying to get his hands on it. I went online with the purpose of just finding the one book, but when I found this set I couldn't pass it up. It is absolutely lovely! The collection is perfect for kids, and I couldn't be happier with it.

I bought this set to read a selection to my 3rd grade students. They love the books, and would go to the library and check out every available copy by Roald Dahl they could get their hands on. One of my more sensitive boys didn't like "The Witches", so we stopped reading it and went to one of the other stories instead. The kids who wanted to continue, got it out of the library and read it themselves. WE LOVE READING!

Great stories. We haven't seen all these movies yet so makes it more fun. Bought these for my 1st grader and they are a little tough for him but since he likes the stories he is at least trying to read a page or two at a time. Lots of new and interesting words he's not used to seeing.

The stories speak for themselves. They're classics! I'd pay double for these stories alone, without the bells and whistles that come with the box set. That being said, the packaging is attractive as well!

My son loves this box set. Purchased for a Christmas gift and he loved the brightly colored box set and different color spines for each book. I was afraid the books themselves would be flimsy, but the quality of each book is on par with any paperback you would purchase. Good buy overall.

As a teenager I used to take my dog out for a walk in the woods, lie down in the grass on a sunny spot and read. And the stories that I still remember most are Roald Dahl's, not these ones, but those written for an older audience.

Finally, my 5-year-old daughter is old enough to share the fantastic world of Mr Dahl. We're both enjoying reading these stories, neither of us can stop. They get our imagination going - we meet many witches on our way to camp, and we see BFG peering in through our window on the 2nd floor at night.

These stories are a wonderful set. Magical stories, scary, imaginary worlds and phenomena to share with your kids.

Get them. Read them.

Love this set. It has all the popular books by Roald Dahl and a few new ones. It's a great deal at this price. We bought it for our daughter's birthday, to give out as party favors. It was a huge hit among all kids and parents alike!

Roald Dahl is a master at his craft. I got this for my 8 year old for her birthday and we have enjoyed reading the books together. My 6 year old loves the books to and both my children love to read them aloud to me. A great set, and a great price

Dahl is my favorite children's book writer and this is a nice little deal, 15 books for 40 something bucks. I hope my six-year-old niece enjoys these titles as much as I did when I was a kid. It's cool she'll have a nice collection on her dresser and hope it begins to inspire a love of reading.

The content of the books is fantastic (hence the one star); however, my boxed set arrived with the outer box damaged and the cellophane wrapping punctured and torn. Thus, I returned it and ordered again. That said, the second set had the exact same issue only with the outer box even more damaged and at least two of the books are bent. This is a gift, which I do not have time to return again...so I hope the recipient is somewhat understanding :(

My kids are obsessed w Roald Dahl and have been pleading for the box set collection for sometime. Just spotted the set at Costco yesterday (7/11/2013) for $16.99. What a bargain! Kids spent the rest of the day devouring the books.
