So yes, another succesful in a series within a series...and Molly is a great character, the world (ours) is filled with broken people limping along and doing whatever comes next or needs doing in whatever way they find works for them...it kind of matches reality that way and it's a concept everyone's familiar and comfortable with.
We live in broken societies and on a planet of fractured states and nothing works like we want it to...i think that's why so many readers are so drawn to scifi and fantasy, to escape our problems and see something else for a change, and the magic or technology are the solutions we dream of for ourselves to fix all the problems in our world...sorry, off topic...we love broken people because they're like us.
This was a good second book for Molly and crew, i would like to see them extricate themselves from the local planet and the city they have been muddling through and evolve outwards though. Perhaps that's for the next books in the series, at this time book 3 and book 4 are waiting for me to read...and i'm off to start that now.

I loved this! I like that Molly is imperfect, but working on her rough edges. I like her heart and spirit. I think what I love best about her is that she acknowledges her weak points, but doesn't just cry in her mocha about them. It's a great example for the rest of us misfits - do your best, and if you fall, get up and keep trying. Her team is a riot and each new addition is entertaining and adds to the team's ability to get the job done. What I loved most about this book is how her self declared enemies ended up funding her team's advance into the Etheric Federation. I would be grabbing my pitchfork and demanding the next entry, but I have already downloaded on my Kindle Unlimited account. Rock on!

To the KGU! Molly is not your typical protagonist....she has flaws. Being a genius has drawbacks y'know...ethics seem to be gray, and emotions are a bitch....relationships? that's worse than a blacked-out room full of monsters. I love Molly and her growing team, and have faith that Molly will grow and evolve in ways not expected but for the better. Would love to see Neechie play more of a role than decoration (we all know cats keep secrets) . Eagerly awaiting the next book, Ms. Ell!

Once again Michael Anderle manages to entice a creative author to enter the Kurtherian universe. It is fascinating to see the variety of storylines develop. While Molly and Oz are a little like BA and Adam and Brock and Crash remind me of the BMW gang they have their own personalities and react to situations in their own way. I like the balance of science with humor and that ethics are an underlying theme. I am looking forward to future books in the series.

I suspected she had an Etheric connection due to her insights, sheer genus and since some of the others had some connections, but this was done brilliantly when Oz hinted at her future knowledge...then of course her full blown zone! Oh, and there have been both male and female hormone additives or perfumes with them in it for over 15 years, so her having made them in the future, not a surprise. This was very action packed, love the connections and Lance's cameos, of course with the wagers, always the wagers! And so PAWSOME to see Feline Overlords in the Kutherine Universe!!! Purrfect! Nietzsche Approved!

Okay, so practically every book has a downside, right? This one too… vegetarian pizza? Sheesh!
Other than that, this one is an improvement over book 1 as I only gave that one 5 stars. Okay, same here so I guess they're both good. And it is good to learn who the mysterious stalker is. I may have guessed but maybe not.
The action is a little subdued in this one but the very end makes up for it. It also makes me NEED book 3! Where's the war? And the reporter? And… Well, I don't want to say too much. You just need to buy and read the book but after book 1.
Awesome!

Great addition to the Kurtherian universe. Seeing Molly's character develop a bit more was great, she is definitely one smart woman. I wish I was half that smart, but being a female electrical engineer in the aerospace industry, I know a couple (or more) folks that Molly reminds me of. Sadly, I don't know enough about the genetic side of things to critique the science there, although I definitely agree with the premise that just because you can do something with genetics, doesn't mean you necessarily should.
I loved seeing Sean again, and the interaction with Joel. [Spoiler] Did not see Sean working for Lance coming beforehand. Figured it out midway through the book, and man did I feel slow. Thanks ELC and MA for the entertaining yarn!

Of the the different views of the Kurtherian universe, the Nomad series and now the Ascension series are my favorites. The main characters are very likable, and the plot just moves smoothly along. And finding out that characters from the main series just pop up is so cool. Hopefully we will learn more of back history on some of the other team members. What would be helpful is a timeline of where all these books fall in to. As a lot of the characters age really, really slowly (if at all) it would be nice to see where in the future we are in a particular series.

The author has created a unique leading character that is a joy to watch. Damaged as a child, Molly is a brilliant, but emotionally challenged person. She sets out on a private crusade to make the world a better place but is continually challenged by her inability to relate, emotionally to the people around her.
Bringing together the best elements of SciFi, and a WhoDunIt, with a character to which nearly any nerd can relate, the stories are fun and thoughtful.
I highly recommend the series.

I might have liked this book better than the first but I'm not sure. I am sure that I love the characters, especially Molly who I can't personally relate with at all, well maybe a little with the smart parts. This was a fun book to read, the relationship between the characters was interesting and helped the story flow nicely. I loved the spicy ending and can't wait to see what ends up happening to Molly now.

Another enjoyable read and, really, what more can a reader ask? I love Molly, Joel (please DO NOT ever kill him off -- ask MA) and the rest of the team. I don't know if I relate to them but I really like them. My only complaint is that I have to wait for the next one. I also love the glimpses of the General and Adam. Net Adam and Oz could become great friends and give their humans fits. Thank you for sharing these stories and your imagination with us.

Welcome Ell Leigh Clarke to an elite group of writers that have been kicking ass since Michael started expanding the Kurtherian Universe! You are a great addition to the team!! For those of you who haven't read either of Ms Clarke's books, jump on the bandwagon NOW! She's an excellent author who brings a great deal to the table. Great characters and storylines. Can't wait till the next release June 5th!!

Molly has taken to the Kurtherian Universe very well !! She is such a different type of protagonist than what we see in the other books. She is unique and I LOVE HER!! Your writing style is top notch. So happy you have joined the group of indie authors writing in KU. Looking forward to more of the story....wow!!

Another wonderful installment in the Age of Expansion, leaving us wanting more and more of Molly and now her team. The only thing I can think of to make these books better would be direct interaction with BA, which would likely put this series completely over the top.
Thank you for the hours you put in to please us lowly readers. :) Personally, I am enthralled by Molly and company, hanging on every word, unwilling to even go to the bathroom while reading. (The bladder eventually wins out, but I make it suffer as long as possible. LOL)
Keep up the wonderful work! I'll keep reading!

Good story, and inventive. There is a lack of fantasy concepts of your characters. Marines don't shoot in:
down the hall to keep the bad guys at bay, they are one shot one kill, bad guy thugs aren't shy about hurting people. Maybe some input from a real soldier type to add realism. Your bio reads as a geek type of personality, not really prone towards violence.
I did enjoyed the story it kept me wondering what was coming next.

I love to see Molly thinking. Its like watching a work of art come to life. Loved the action and the mystery behind the mystery that is the kurtherian universe. Can't wait to see where this rabbit hole takes Molly and the gang.

Michael Anderle is continuing to bring quality writing into the flow of his Kutherian Gambit universe of stories and authors, and Miz Clarke is quite up to the task. Her characters are engaging, true to the storyline and Molly, the heroine, is a sweetheart...even if she is "broken"...
I'm looking forward to much more reading in this arc of the KGU...

overall pretty good.
I do feel that the author fails to understand the male point of view when it comes to relationships. The lead female character is hard to relate to as well. that aside, if fits the mode of the original kurtherian series and if you enjoyed them, you will probably like this series as well

This story is a worthy addition to the KG universe. The plot is laid out well although relatively easy to guess up until the end (no spoilers). I have two issues: the use of colloquialisms and the prologue. In-universe colloquialisms are fine but things like "get out of Dodge" or "bug bear" (chapter 2) shouldn't be included because not everyone knows what they mean and it breaks immersion when you read an expression you don't understand. The ending of the prologue is also a bit cliche in my opinion.
Overall an excellent book but as stated above there's still room for improvement.

I loved this book! The characters are believable and yet very eccentric. I have to say that the end of this book gave me goosebumps and I'm super stoked to start the next in the series!

Ok, once I recovered from running out of book, things were great. The expansion of the story, building up the team and increasing the general bad guy challenge were well done. And once more I am twitching with DT's waiting on the release of the next dose.

Nicely done with excellent character depth, good story and great hanging finish.
Potential for a tad more action? Will continue to read this series, I'm just an action junkie.
Can't wait to see where you go with the AI thread. The hints so far are driving me nuts.
Keep up the good work.

Very fortunately there is no fat singing. The twists and turns that Molly's mind makes would make a great stage opera. The team takes on a new challenge and actually makes real life mistakes. The ending of the book creates vast new areas for this tale to go, and I really want to see more soon.

I like that Molly is evolving her feelings, her humanity, and focusing on developing her relationships. The team relationship development is greay too! Also, that Molly and the team are being monitered, and assisted by Lance Reyonds (via Seth) and now has been contacted by them....exciting!! Looking forward to seeing how that develops!

The series is awsome! Molly is relatable as an outstanding geek and truly keeps surprising me at every turn in the story. I can hardly wait to finish this review to get back to reading the next installment. Thank you for your efforts in your writing. It really shows an eye for excellance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Molly is my type of person. Not the geek part, I'm horrible at all that but definitely the part where she doesn't get human behavior. This book really made me laugh at the end. Can't wait for book three!

If you read the first book....hopefully....you may find it hard to believe, this book is better. The last 3-4 pages, I had trouble breathing. She is going to be able to meet here Hero. Sorry, no more clues...lol.
Read and enjoy!

I can't thank my oldest daughter enough for turning me on to this entire series, though my husband and grandson definitely don't feel the same way. I tend to forget where I am and join the team in the book. Love the entire series. Molly and her group are an excellent addition to the team. Thank you for sharing their story. Looking forward to many more of their adventures.

Much better than your first book, the flow in this book was awesome and you did great with scene and character development! I read this book in one sitting compared to the stop and start of the First book. So hats off and CONGRATULATIONS on a great book that was amazing to read! Thanks !

Words can not appropriately describe how deep I was into the Kurtherian universe. Having to put it aside did have an up side, though...
Upon my return to the universe there are now "Twelve" (at this time) new books available in this new spin off series...and I can now OD all over again like a Netflix holiday weekend with Chocolate Everything Ice Cream!
The 1st book in the series had some minor continuity issues, but was still worth 4 out of 5 stars.
If for no other reason, the ending of this book makes it worth 5 stars +. :-)
I am way too old to have author crushes. So, obviously it is impossible for me to be having one now (stop sweating Michael, I was referring to the Other author...). Heh!
