Bravissimo. Branson's story is epic in every sense of the word. From the first page you are led on a suspenseful and gripping adventure. I've never felt this excited to flip to the next page when reading a biography. If you are looking for an adventure pick this up, if you are looking for a detailed history of Virgin pick this up, and most importantly if you are looking to be inspired to live life to the fullest extent don't hesitate to... yea you guessed it... pick this up. I am a biography geek and have read every great businessman from Ben Franklin to Warren Buffet but nothing has taken me on such a ride as 'Losing My Virginity' did. And I mean that in both ways, but I'm mostly talking about this book. READ IT.

I found this book honest and inspiring. It would always be wrong to try and mimic someone like Branson so closely as to try to 'become him' but rather, it is best to pick out those events in his life which make you pause and think along new lines. Those moments when you say "yes, I should do that in my own life". I found enough life changing pauses in this book that enabled me to start my business in New Zealand as the worlds first commercial Hoverwing tour operator. Branson, so many times just knew things were right and decided, 'screw it, let's do it!' And Gus, so did I. If you're starting out, get the book. Now!

Everyone knows sir Richard Branson. This book tells his story. From a boy who didn’t finish high school to one of the richest guys in the world. From a school paper to a spaceship. In this book, he talks about his journey, his failures, his wins, how he thinks and why he’s still rocking this world. I highly recommend this book, because it will give you new ideas and a fresh mindset about perseverance, and you’ll have a good laugh in the process.

I really liked the book. Richard Branson is an amazing man, who has done almost everything possible (and also the impossible). The way the book is written is absolutely pleasant for all types of readers.
However, I must admit that some parts are unnecessary long and dense. Saying so, I think it is a fantastic book to boost the entrepreneurial soul everybody might have inside, and to learn from someone who has struggle against every ambition and fear he has had.

Recently purchased this book, have not read it all yet. Was so impressed by Virgin Airlines and our experience on a recent travel that I had to buy the book.
From what I've read, if anyone has the slight interest in one person who became a success on his own and using his brains for a change - then this is the book to read.

Wow, talking about a thorough autobiography! This is a big long book of nearly 600 pages! I give this high marks because of the notable time that Mr. Branson took to be very detailed and describe his life. The book by no means was rushed together. It was evident that Richard spent a long time and lot of thinking writing this book.
The book for the most part has its exciting moments and a few not as exciting moments. He writes a lot about his younger days when he just started out and before Virgin came about. He also wrote a lot about the bitter dispute between Virgin Air and British Airways. He also talks a lot about his ballooning adventures around the globe. He ends the book talking a lot of his work to help others in South Africa and his efforts to curb global warming.
I was amazed how such an accomplished person can write in such a humble tone. It is also amazing how someone with so much on his hands has had so much time to do so many adventures!
If you are interested about Richard Branson and want a long entertaining read I recommend this book!

Really enjoyed reading this book, very insightful and humbling to learn about how much Richard accomplished so young! Unfortunately the book was almost divided into two halves though, with the first half well written, in chronological order and easy to follow. The second half of the book was obviously written in a rush and seemed to jump constantly between topics, dates and locations so much harder to follow.
Would highly recommend reading the first half but unfortunately not such a strong ending.

I love Richard Branson and I really enjoyed much of the book but it seemed to repeat stories and jump around in a way that was a bit distracting. It needed a good editor.
It was great to see how he made many of his decisions and how the universe opened up to those who go after their dreams even when your dream doesn't start big.

This Richard Branson's autobiography. It describes in detail his life and how he built the Virgin Group.
It is a fascinating story, and once you start reading you cannot stop. It is the best business "TEXT BOOK" I have come across. One does not learn that stuff from any ordinary business school. If you are an entrepreneur and you want to learn how to build a sustainable business in the real world, I would recommend that you read this autobiography.

Makes you want to conquer the world. It really shows you that you have to take risk and trust your gut when making decisions. Even if you're the only one saying "YES" while a 1000 are telling you "No!" Is truly possible to have it all if you want it all

Richard Branson shows you that if you put your mind and heart into something no matter how hard it may be, and if you follow your instinct and never give up, the sky is the limit! In this book he describes his life from the beginning, his fall backs and all the successes he had, with an insight on how he managed to accomplish everything. He is the true meaning of an entrepreneur!

A great read. I enjoyed learning the genesis of the early recording industry and particularly Branson's struggle to establish Virgin Atlantic Airlines. Evokes the memory of Juan Trippe and Pan American Airlines. I had been looking for a good bio on Branson; this seemed to be the most complete and recent, with a final chapter taking us to about 2010 in sketch detail. Otherwise most of the storyline ends in the late 1990s. On some level I was surprised at the young scoundrel he somewhat was, but recognize how important that became to Branson's entrepreneurial drive. The man has guts, wish him the best to get Virgin Galactic soaring again soon!

I bought this book because my husband always said " He is some rich guy who never did anything". That is absolutely a false statement.
Branson started very young as an entrepreneur. He defied all odds and was always on the cutting edge of "what's the next new thing". A fascinating story of this man who was never afraid of doing anything , even when he was advised his ideas would not be profitable. He beat all odds and was usually right . He started businesses in almost every sector. He was close to heads of state in all countries and helped other countries when in need. I have a new understanding of how brilliant Branson is and how hard he worked to earn his empire.

Richard Branson writes a very engaging book. I was very impressed with the honesty and humour throughout. It is equally inspiring to anyone who needs a little encouragement to just take a leap of faith in themselves.

You will not be disappointed. Branson's story is one that reads better than fiction. He is truly a larger than life personality with lessons for everyone -- especially those in business and those charged with innovation and creating the new. This guy is the real thing and one that we will look back to for generations as truly an original. He is the Howard Hughes of our time.

Branson delivers again. He is so inspiring but at the same time delivers the message with humor which serves two purposes, making you remember it, and keeping you entertained. I would buy everything he puts out.

Wonderful book. Honest, open accounts of his own life (good and bad) from his point of view.
Not sure it's the greatest "business" book but it's a great read. Buy it for the read and entertainment. Whatever the reason you are looking to buy this book you will enjoy it.

This is one fabulously entertaining book. And it's motivating. A great read and a great inspiration. It's not so much about what to do in business...it's about what Branson did and how he did it and the guts and sometimes bulls..t he used to get things done.

Profundity and truth, mixed with humour and realism...a totally honest share by Sir Richard Branson. His adventures and challenges - both professional and physical - sum up a man who is truly living and not simply existing!

An easy, uplifting, and fun read that may inspire you to take chances that you might otherwise pass up. Mr. Branson offers no clear advice but his spirit for adventure is the type of motivation we could all use to make the world around us a little better

Sir Richard Branson might be one of the most influential men alive. Branson digs far down and details his humble beginnings to get where he is today, including his ballooning adventures (the part I found uninteresting, oddly enough) to his dilemma of having to sell Virgin Records to keep the entire Virgin enterprise afloat. The end of the book is slightly bleak with his view of the world in it's rough shape but he sees optimism, if we all work together.

Richard Branson's "Losing my Virginity" is a delight to read. It's difficult to put down; it radiates joie de vivre, enterprise, great courage, good sense, and humor, but also understanding and generosity. I wish him success with his remarkable groups of the Elders.
