This story is simply amazing. I could not put the book down once I started reading. There is so much intrigue, mystery, passion, love and loyalty. Lord Edward, the third Duke of Blessington is such a carrying, loyal, noble and passionate person. I loved the twist and turns the story took, as well as the suspense and the slow burn romance. I was not expecting the ending to be what it was with Sara. I loved Honora Burney’s character and how strong, brave and passionate she is throughout the story. The chemistry between Nora and Edward is undeniable and so cute. Sara and Edwards stories are heartfelt, they are so strong to be able to come out of their ordeal with such a caring nature. I highly recommend this story..

Wow, I stayed up really late to finish this story. The story had many twists and turns the kept me "turning" the ebook pages. A reasonably young Duke has inherited an almost bankrupt duchy. At the same time, he has had to bear the rumors that he impregnated his fiance, and then discarded her. Her father is trying to get rid of the Duke through good and/or evil means. Edward. the Duke invites a wealthy merchant to the duchy with the intent of getting money to restore his lands. The crafty merchant brings his mother and his daughter with him, and the after agreeing to a deal, takes off for another "buying" trip and leaves the two ladies behind, even though his daughter has gone on many trips before.

Emma Lindfield has a good imagination and is talented in delivering a book that is a pleasure to read. Many emotions are described and the personalities of the characters are brought to life with ease. I received an ARC of this book, and voluntarily review and recommend this story. This storyline is quite out of the ordinary: it was very surprising that a father in this period would support this proposal and send his daughter and mother to life with a virtual stranger unless he had ulterior motives. There are quite a few twists and turns and this book was a pleasure to read this one.

A wonderful book about honora who is the daughter of the largest merchant in town and a gypsy at heart.
She meets the duke of blessington who is trying to make a deal with her father.
There are a lot of rumours going around about him. But are they true?
The duke is in a lot of debt and he wants honoras father to invest in Briar Hill, his manor home.
A book about falling in love when you dont expect it and about a man trying make things work besides rumours about him.
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."

Another book I really enjoyed reading of Emma Linfield. I loved the anxiety of the suspense waiting to see what would happen. I loved the independence of the women that went against what that era called for in women. I loved the love between the two people and what it took to realize and not deny what was between them. There was also another romance going on that was told in the end that was not so accepting of that era. I loved it all. I highly recommend this book.

Edward is Duke, who’s finances in a woeful state. Honora is a merchant’s daughter. Her father has a business trip to attend to and leaves Honora and her grandmother in safe keeping with Edward. While Honora is staying with the Duke, tragedy strikes. A person from the Duke’s past is causing trouble not only for the Duke but Honora as well. To find out what happened please read this beautiful story, you won’t be disappointed.

I found this to be an interesting and enjoyable read. The characters, major and minor, were well-drawn. The plot had enough twists and turns to keep you turning the pages, saying to yourself, "Just one more page." And then the tablet ran out of battery! I voluntarily read a free copy of this book and can definitely recommend it to you.

A most interesting enjoyable story. A Duke on the verge of losing his duchy and a merchant’s daughter forced to give up traveling to remain at home while her traveling companion continues to travel. What lengths they go to making each other happy is riveting.

A very enjoyable story. A troubled Duke, who is very honorable and refuses to break a trust shared in confidence even though the rumors are destroying him; meets a merchant's daughter that is possibly the woman he needs, if she can get past the rumors. As they learn to trust each other, they face many difficult situations, including someone that is willing to do anything if it will hurt the duke.

I really loved this story, there was a fire, abuse, and reputations being ruined. The characters were great, lifelike and full of life. The descriptions are very good also. The plot has some interesting twist and turns. The author has a well written, smoothly moving, and even paced book. The way Edward and Honora kind of circle around the fact they care about each other, is lovely. The story keeps you awake, and it proves to be very interesting. Well worth the time to read.
I received this ARC from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.
