So I totally expected more from this book, I expected it to be longer, I expected to know what happens with Xander and Yvie but you don't. It ends on a happy note but you don't find out what really happens. Ugh

Expected the same horrendous editing from this as the rest of the series, but the fact that the book just ends?????????? At a loss considering the rest of the series all came to a conclusion, even if somewhat forced. Waste of time

Was that it?????? Loved the characters but felt it was rushed and had no ending...are they a couple now?????? no idea...book kind of just ended with no resolution. Also Josie being sad on her anniversary with it being pointed out that Liam was pretty much ignoring her...what was that all about?...story was short and left too many open questions..way under developed.
Write Now. Read Later. Treasure Forever. - Letters to My Grandchild :: Signed :: Show Me the Way :: Finding My Way (The Beaumont Series) :: Finding My Forever (The Beaumont Series Book 3)

I so enjoy reading all of Heidi McLaughlin's works and have loved all the books in the Beaumont series until this one. First - there were way too many mistakes that editing didn't pick up on . That just bugs me. If the story line was great then I could get over that picky thing but the story line was weak and I felt at times disconnected. The character development was poor - Xander was better than Yvie. Yvie just seemed bottled up during the entire book except for the sex. Then to top off a weak story and poor character development it ends abruptly. Is there a continuation of this book?? Was it suppose to be a novella.
Overall disappointed. How do I return a book on the store???

Fyi - The first 62% of this novella was first featured in the All I Want anthology that was released before Christmas. So if you think this is the same book it should be noted there are seven additional chapters...that were in my opinion not worth $2.99 to read.

Here is my review of the portion of 12 Days of Forever that we were given in the anthology:

This story is about Harrison's sister, Yvie, the ballerina that lives in NYC. We were introduced to her in My Unexpected Forever. She had a douche of a boyfriend and I was hoping we were going to get more of her story. So I was excited that this was hers!

Yvie is on hiatus for the holidays and she's feeling homesick. She misses Harrison and her nephew, Quinn, and she's looking forward to getting to know her sister-in-law and nieces. She surprises Harrison when she shows up in Beaumont.

Now I was thinking maybe the H would be the remaining band member but it's Xander, Jimmy's personal trainer. After helping Jimmy with his PT when he was shot, the guys from 4225 West supported Xander in opening his own gym.

Xander is looking for love and although he's attracted to Yvie he doesn't see a future for them because of the long distance so he's hesitant to even start anything while she's in town. Yvie has other plans.

The only part I didn't like was when Yvie and Xander first had sex. It was just odd. I thought it was a dream sequence. It seemed so out of character for them both. Plus it was just plain awkward.

Also, this story is not complete. It's just a sneak peek of the story to come in early 2015. (Which is this novella and that brings us to now).

Continuing on, Yvie decides at the last minute to stay in Beaumont to spend more time with Xander. I know it's a novella and things tend to be more rushed or condensed but we were left with even more questions and no answers. And not even in a cliffhanger kind of way, I felt shortchanged. Is that it? What are they planning on doing about the long distance? Her dancing career? The tour? Is Oliver really done? What's up with Liam and Josie? I gave four stars to the portion that was in the anthology and truth be told I would rather have been left hanging than be given these last lazy chapters. Shocked and disappointed.

**2.5 stars**

Update: Apparently this isn't the end but that kind of just annoys me more. I bought the anthology strictly for this book and then I bought this book with the additional chapters thinking it was the final piece to their story but I guess not. Now I will have to buy another book. I wish I knew this was going to be dished out in installments I would have waited to buy it all at once.

Very disappointing. The writing is terrible. Yvie and Xander could have been great characters. But the story is underdeveloped. And the supposed connection between them is clouded by Yvie's fixation on Oliver, NY, and her career. It simply wasn't as convincing or enjoyable as it should have been

This was a sweet story, two people connected by others, coming together, they have an instant connection where they both try to fight it.
Yvie is Harrison's sister, and Xander is the band's personal trainer.
It's been lovely catching up with the Beaumont gang, seeing how they have been getting on.
Yvie and Xander were great together, I'm hoping things work out for them and that they get their hea. I feel the end part of their story is missing.
As with all Heidi McLaughlin other work, she pulls you in, and takes you on a ride, filled with love and happiness with a myriad of emotions, including anxiousness, fun and joy.

Nice, short novella that fit perfectly with this series. I liked Evie's character. They brought in a new character for her (at least I don't remember Xander). I hope both of these characters show up in the next one and have more closure-ish to their future!!

I absolutely love The Beaumont series by Heidi McLaughlin. Xander is a gym owner and personal trainer to 4225 West. He loves his job but would really like to find a woman to spend his life with. Yvie is
Harrison's sister who comes to Beaumont to celebrate the holidays with her family.
She wanted to get away from the guy she
was dating. What will happen when these
two single attractive individuals cross
paths? Will Xander be able to convince
Yvie to stay in Beaumont? I guess you will have to read it to find out.

I enjoy this author and this series very much, however, this novella did not deliver through to the end of the story. I considered this a long novella and therefore I expected a little more to the story. I liked the characters, the story is good but all of a sudden it just ends. I would have given 5 stars if there had been more of an ending and some wrap up to it. I think the author did spend time developing the characters to carry the story and you care about them but then I turn the page and it is over. I do not read other reviews until I have written mine and will be interesting to see if others feel the same. I think these characters deserved a full book as they have more to say and I wish the author had delivered.

Another great addition to The Beaumont Series! It was great getting to know Xander better. We first met him when he worked as JD's physical therapist in Finding My Forever (Beaumont book 3). 12 Days of Forever gives us a deeper look at who he is. He meets Yvie James, Harrison's younger sister and the chemistry is instantaneous for both of them. Yvie is a dancer living in NY who comes to Beaumont to visit her brother and his bandmates because she needs a break and feels lost. Xander and Yvie's story is sweet with just the right amount of sexy heat. This was a great novella!
