I bought this book for an Engligh Literature class, it is very bulky, but contains so much there is no other way they could cram so much into anything any smaller! This book remains on my desk, and always will.

I recently bought this book for my British Literature class and I quite enjoy it. The book itself is like having your own portable library containing the works of famous English poets such as George Gordon Byron, Samuel Taylor Coleridge and Percy Bysshe Shelley. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in literature.

While the book itself is excellent, it arrived in a much worse condition than expected. Many pages were bent and it was clearly heavily used + marked. As an English major I use this book for almost every class so It's absolutely recommended for it's content but my only regret is not buying it new and getting to mark it myself.
The Norton Anthology of American Literature (Ninth Edition) (Vol. Package 1 :: Frey (The Frey Saga Book 1) :: An Adult Coloring Book with Enchanted Forest Animals :: The Forever Man: Book 1: Pulse :: The Last of the Mohicans (Modern Library Classics)

Little has changed in this anthology except things have moved around in it making it difficult to follow the pages of a professor using the 8th edition. Otherwise, it's a fantastic review of British literature spanning over a century.

This is essentially a three-volume pack. This is not a giant 3000-page book. if you were to buy each volume separately, you would be spending 3*40=120 dollars. Buying this saves you a minimum of 70 bucks. Buy this if you're studying English Poetry/literature.

A great collection of English literature. If you are an English major in college you will need it. The annotations were generally pretty helpful, especially for the texts that preserved the original Middle English.

This is a lot of book. It contains useful information, but unfortunately a lot of writings are in middle english with no translation. I needed the internet in order to understand the works of Chaucer.

It's hard to imagine that one could actually enjoy required reading, but let your mind wander as I explain. This Anthology contains so much reading material, there is no possibility of becoming bored because there is something for everyone within. From Wordsworth to Lord Byron you can enjoy some interesting reads.

This book was purchased for an English literature course which involves a good bit of reading, but I was never once bored with it.

Many of the stories, in this anthology, can be read online (they are in the public domain. This was handy, because this book is fragile, heavy, and bulky. It would be better for the publisher to authorize an e-book version, so students don't break their back, adding it to their backpacks; to cart back and forth to school. On the positive note, the stories chosen for this book, were diverse and interesting.
