Wow... I am the first person to review this great book. Being a huge fan of wilwheaton.com I wasn't sure what the appeal would be of buying this book since everything in it had already been on the net. I don't know why but there is just something different when your reading it on paper than on the internet. Wil Wheaton does a great job telling these five short stories from his life. You will go from feeling sad when he talks about his aunt, to laughing out loud when he talks about his star trek memories. All around a great book, whether your a geek or not.

Ever since I stumbled upon Wilwheaton.net almost three years ago, I was hooked.
This book demonstrates Wil's talent as a story teller and now author. This was one of the best buys I've made in a long time. Although the book is short, it packs a punch. You'll be greatly entertained. Can't wait for JAG!
Keep up the great work Wil!

I ran across Wil's writing through his website. It was only later that I realized I had seen his work in TNG. Wil's writing style is very accessible and has a way of sounding just like your inner voice. You experience what he experiences in a way that allows you to relate to things in your own life. This is a great book, you won't be disappointed! Heck, Ready or Not is worth the price of the book alone.

I became addicted to Wil's writing voice reading his web log over the past few months. This collection of these writings is great. I read it in about 3 hours and was left wanting more. Thank goodness for the blog. I particularly enjoyed 'Spongebob Vegas Pants' an essay on the trials, tribbleations, and triumpths of appearing at a Star Trek convention. Real insight into the phenomena viewed through the eyes of a regular guy that used to be on TV a lot.

This book is comprised of five short stories from Wil's weblog that give the reader a glimps into the person that is Wil Wheaton. They each evoke an emotion ranging from touching to funny. They leave the reader wanting more.
If you enjoy biographical works or have ever been entertained by Wil Wheaton either on the silver screen, television, online, or at a Star Trek convention, you will definately enjoy this book.

Just a blast to read, plain and simple. The five essays each take you through a particular meaninful point in Wheaton's life -- meaningful on different scales, for wildly different reasons. Wheaton's writing is by turns acidic, charming, touching in a completely non-saccharine way... and "The Saga of SpongeBob VegasPants" is flat-out hilarious.

Wil Wheaton writes like he has been writing books forever (in a sense, this is true because of his weblog at [local website]). Wil Wheaton is a great writer and writes events in his book like I was actually there witnessing all of these 5 stories. Wil gives vivid descriptions of locations and people, he is a true writer. Wil is a talented actor/writer/comedian.
I would recommend this book to anyone! Wil Wheaton is my role model, he is a great person.

One of my dear friends pointed me in the direction of Wil's blog and I've been hooked ever since. Wil was a good actor (I LOVED Stand By Me and even thought nerdy Wesley was C*U*T*E*) but he is a damn good author! I bought Dancing Barefoot to read on my spring break and just devoured it! An effortless read and very enjoyable. Wil, I can hardly wait to read JAG and share Dancing Barefoot with my friends.

There is something penetratingly genuine about Wil Wheaton's writing style. This book is rather...quiet (I guess is the right word), and rather unassuming, but it left me deeply touched. And few books manage to do that...I highly recommend this read! A new fan of his website...I look forward to his future works.

In Dancing Barefoot, Wheaton delivers to the geek in us all. He is not afraid to put it all out there, and I was not afraid to soak it all up. This book keeps an excellent pace and allows one to relfect upon their own life and experiences as Wil shares his. It left me laughing and wanting more.

The economy of words and page count in 'Dancing Barefoot' cannot belie the substance of this book. In 111 pages of first person narrative Wheaton draws the reader into places we've been and some that are unique to him.
He's found his voice in the written word.
