Not much new ground is broken if you have already done the Strengths Finder 2.0. Just a bit more information on how to apply your strengths in leadership positions.

This book is well known and insightful. Learning what your strengths are and how you can apply techniques to improve skills that you are naturally good at will help you excel. The authors clearly illustrate how each skill can be maximized and used in business and life.

We are using this for our leadership group project this year at Utah Valley University. I found it very insightful. A great companion piece for StrengthsFinder 2.0 and resource after taking the inventory.

I had accidentally purchased this book instead of Strengthsfinder 2.0 for a course in my school's curriculum. This book had much more information than the required book, but the breakdown of the different strengths was less than Strengthsfinder 2.0. This book further breaks down Strengths into three different categories which demonstrates which kind of strengths (in a broad sense) you possess.

Unlike many books of this genre, this title did not stretch a simple idea that could be communicated concisely into hundreds of pages. Instead, it gets to the point (which is a good one), and then it works through four brief examples.

The included personalized strengths profile and reports [...] are more than worth the price of the book.

I would definitely recommend this for any business and or group of people who want to understand the personalitys they are working with. I am amazed at how spot on the results of everyone's personalized strengths report came out. From these results we have the ability of understanding each individual we work with and on top of that making sure they are all in positions that fit their personality is extremely valuable for any business.

I have purchased almost 150 of these books in the last 5 years. I was introduced to the Gallup Strengths series and the Strengths Finder assessment about 7 years ago and I greatly appreciate the value it adds to my professional and personal life.
I lead a group of 40+ employees and the Strength Finder assessment in this book in an invaluable management tool for us. Every employee that joins our team takes the assessment during their first month of their employment. After we have them meet with those that supervise them and go over the areas that jump out at them as something that will help them succeed in their new role or things they think it is important that their supervisor know about them. Time and time again we have found that these things we learn the first month we work with someone turn out to be the most important characteristics or work traits of that individual. When we take the time to understand someone's strengths up front and how that fits into our existing team we get a great jump start on helping our new employees be successful.

I will continue to purchase these for all my new employees as well as for gifts for clients and friends. It is a great tool in my life and the more I use it - the more I learn about it.

I participated in a retreat that required reading Strengths-Based Leardership. It was a very enlightening experience. Taking the survey after completing the book to reveal your leadership style has helped a great deal in my term as president of my Sorority Chapter. My other officers also attended and we have devised a plan of action based on our strengths for our fiscal year!

This interesting book proposes the concept that EVERYONE possesses strengths relative to leadership. The key is just finding out what your strengths are. A self-enclosed pass-code provides access to the accompanying, computerized testing program that translates your answers to their simple questions into indicators of your hidden leadership potential. You are given a list of your leadership qualities, and a thorough discussion of what your strengths mean, and how best to utilize them. Even if you're not thinking of becoming the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, I found it exhilarating to find out exactly what my hidden potential was. This book also gives practical steps about how to strengthen your inherent leadership skills and improve every interaction in your life.

Very short, easy read with practical, research-based ways to improve leadership skills and lead others based on their strengths. A little light on content. I expected more after reading StrengthsFinder 2.0, but it was still useful to me.

I bought this book for the activation code to take a test prior to a weekend lecture. I accessed the test and read that each question was timed and so before I started the test, I bookmarked the page for the next day when I"d have uninterrupted time to take the test. Next day the access code would not work saying it was used. So I had to attend the lecture without having taken the exam after paying for it. Not impressed that there was no phone number for customer service and nobody answered my email all that day.

I don't think I'll be ordering any more Kindle books.

Helpful because it not only shares information. It also gives you the ability to discover your top five leadership traits and then learn to develop them.
I recommend this to anyone who wants to grow and develop their leadership abilities.

Really not much difference with this and the Strength Finder 2.0 and I liked the 2.0 better. But they're both good and great to use with families or organizations to understand how people come at things differently and it's all good.
