This book is small but gives a lot of information. There are a lot of quotes from other people, but I happen to like quotes. The author makes the book easy to comprehend and I didn't want to put it down once I started reading. I'm looking forward to reading his other books.

Maxwell is always good and this holds true to that. Small, so it can fit in your back pocket if on the go. This is a very good book on leadership and how to get it and apply through out your life. It's literally changing how I view the world and how I get things done.

Another winner from John Maxwell. I have purchased several of these books for my graduate students who aspire to become school administrators. The book is very practical and relevant for leaders in all walks of life.

A great book for leadership. If you are developing a style or looking at methods that work, this book is a must. This is an easy read that has helpful pointers...even for veterans. Common sense, straight-forward, I highly recommend. Leadership 101 is one of the few books I bought for my personal collection as I am working on my EdS (Education Specialist).

Maxwell does cover some helpful qualities of leadership and steps to becoming a more effective leader. However, I did not appreciate at all the references to God and church and mainly Christian ideologies. He says at one point that ultimate greatness does not come within but instead can and only comes from God which is completely an opinionated statement and has no right in being in a book about leadership. Granted the publisher is Christian Audio which I must admit I did not realize until after I purchased the book. Had I realized before I probably would have never bought it. Nonetheless, the title of the book is Leadership 101: What every leader needs to know. No where in that title does it says based on religious preference or according to God fearing Christians. In my opinion after he made religious references that where clearly one sided it discredited the book and author greatly.
Nonetheless, if you can ignore the religious none sense and God references then the rest is appreciable.
