This book brings an actualization of the teachings contained in the prior four books by James Redfield. It was long awaited and it came with perfect timing to help in the awakening of our conscience in this transcendental period in history.

an excellent follow on from the author's previous titles. Expands on the concepts but continues to give information linking back to the Celestine Prophecy and Tenth Insight to ensure the reader is involved if they haven't read the previous books. The Twelfth Insight: The Hour of Decision

James Redfield once again has shared his Insights! It is completely related to what is taking place now and is extremely helpful to all of us to know we need to keep our vibrations up...Now more then ever!

The book was a natural progression of the former, and certainly carries the same revelations described in the total work. I find that the story(s) teach in parables as one progresses through the work. It is much easier to meditate on the messages and apply one's realizations of Truth to his/her every day life. A very good effort by the author deserves a good effort int he reading.

After reading all of James Redfield books, I looked forward to The Twelfth Insight. Reading Mr. Redfield's books teaches me and allows my mind to travel through his writings. Love this author. I also love the Global Prayer Project and look forward to them.

The twelfth insight is an excellent book that just adds to the realization that there is life after death, and that we are all completely surrounded by energy in many different forms. Highly recommended read, along with The Celestine Prophecy, The Eleventh Insight, The Celestine Vision.

Have read these since the Celestine Prophecy first came out. If you want a clearly worded and descriptive way to understand how we are evolving as humans, this is one way for sure! And it's not dry and clinical, they are all written as one big adventure story which is very easy to read and entertaining. Bought 5 this holiday for friends.

From a spiritual point of view, it helps to explain some of the crazy behavior of folks now. Especially the greed and the political nonsense. IF EVERYONE were to read this book or listen to the CD, this would be a brand new world in days. Already we can see the changes in Egypt and other middle eastern countries. The Celestine Prophecy was a great book, the Twelfth Insight is magnificent with its relevance to modern events. I highly recommend this book.

THE BOOK ARRIVED IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, REALLY NEW, AND IN LESS TIME THAN NOTIFIED!! THAT WAS A SPECIAL BONUS. THIS VOLUME CONCLUDES THE SERIES OF THE CELESTINE PROPHECIES, AND I WAS SO GLAD TO ADD IT TO MY COLLECTION. WORTH EXPLORING FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET ENCOUNTERED IT

Frankly, I wish I was happier about this book. I've waited so long for it to come out ... but as the title says, I'm disappointed. I expected some review of the first 11 insights (it's been a long time after all), but I didn't expect most of the book to rehash them (the first 11 parts/integrations of the "document" coincide exactly with the first 11 insights in the three previous books)-- didn't they learn ANYTHING during the first three books? Why are they doing it all again? When I finally got to the 12th document integration (the 12th insight, I assume), it seemed unexceptional ... like "yeah, so what? I've heard that before many times from many others." I also thought the fictional elements (needed to make it a novel, I assume) were forced and kind of silly in many places -- I got tired of all the fear-based chase scenes. All in all, I just expected more from this long-awaited grand finale to the Celestine Prophecy series ... and maybe that's my fault for having expectations in the first place.

Our hero's journey for knowledge and enlightenment started in the Celestine Prophecy. Now in this fourth book, documents are being leaked out that explain twelve integrations that lead to a collective consciousness, pulls religions together, bridges Earthbound and the afterlife, and brings about The Rapture without Armageddon. And of course there is opposition from those violently opposed to changing their way of thinking which leads to much of what is currently wrong in today's civilization
The story could be read very quickly, but I took a lot longer to read this than I do most other fiction. I already understood the idea of many of the `integrations' through other sources, but some were new to me, or at least hadn't been understood. Some can't be fully understood without experiencing it.
The content taught is really good, but the story was rushed and some aspects of it felt contrived. But on the whole the book delivers what it means to and provides a good explanation of why things are happening and what we can achieve.
Reviewed for Library Thing.

This is the 2011 addition to James Redfield's Celestine Prophesy Series. Once again, Redfield weaves a fictional story around the teaching of basic spiritual awareness principles. Through synchronistic meetings and events, our hero and his friends, discover a series of hidden manuscripts, which have the power to change the world. The adventurers are followed and threatened as they continue to seek the truth within the manuscripts, and run into folks who have other ideas.
If you have not read any of the series, begin with Celestine Prophesy (book and movie). If they peak your interest and seem to be calling you for more, get the rest of the series.
BTW, please do not dismiss the teachings weaved throughout the fictional story. They are very important spiritual teachings. Weaving the teachings within an adventure just helps to bring the points home.

Heard THE TWELFTH INSIGHT (Hachette Audio) by James Redfield . . . this is the author's latest book in what has become known as the Celestine Series.
I remember his first effort, THE CELESTINE PROPHEY, blew me away . . . the combination of an interesting story, combined with a thought-provoking spiritual message, was just right . . . also, it left me looking forward to the possibility of additional books.
They came every so often, and I read each one--finding them less and less enjoyable . . . alas, that has happened again with THE TWELTH INSIGHT.
Much of this book is a rehash of material that had been covered previously . . . in addition, the story has worn thin, and I just didn't believe the many plot contrivances.

Now in the final countdown year, on December 21, 2012, the Mayan calendar predicts the world as we know it will end. Wil and his best friend receive an odd segment of an ancient manuscript; other fragments are also being released around the globe to chosen ones who have displayed a potential enlightened soul. Wil and his buddy know they need the rest of the document to understand how to use the mind and spirit to achieve universal contentment and harmony though deployment of the twelve integrations. As the enlightened 144,000 converge in the spirit of synchronicity and integrity to reach the plateau of world unity theyt must contend with powerful political and religious leaders; fanatics who prefer the status quo as well as preventing a nuclear terrorist attack.
The fourth Celestine spiritual thriller (see The Celestine Prophecy, The Secret of Shambhala and In Search of the Eleventh Insight) is a fascinating uplifting tale. When the focus is on the integrations, readers learn the steps that James Redfield recommends while the protagonists and other chosen struggle with world leaders who oppose any downgrading of their status. When the storyline turns to the terrorists it loses some momentum as this feels forced. Still fans will enjoy Mr. Redfield's enlightenment re the Mayan doomsday prophecy.

This timely book will surely interest those who are following world events, and the rumors of devastation which some are saying will occur on December 12, 2012. Also, if you have read other books in the series, you will want to read The Twelfth Insight.
As with James Redfield's other writings, this one is intriguing and insightful. If you are a pilgram on the road to spiritual growth, I would recommend this one as food for thought, at least.
(Thank you to Hachette Book Group for my review copy)

I really enjoyed reading this book. It took me one day to read it and as luck would have it, the author was in my town for a book signing. After I finished it I went to hear him speak and get my book signed. He was very nice and I have to say that the book is a welcome reaction to some of the political vitriol that has been spewed in the last few years. If you are open minded, a bit spiritual and looking for some "insight" this book is well worth your time.

Save your money, you've read this stuff before. No story, same preaching. Dull scenes, nothing new, except the delving into current affairs about religion. Boring...and deeply disappointed. James Redfield is like J.K. Rowling, a one-book wonder.

I have read all of James Redfield's Celestine prophecy series. This was as good as the others. Another adventure on the way to personal fulfillment in a confusing world. I appreciate his writing and look forward to anything else he writes.

While the insights in the book are useful, the story line is just too contrived for this reader's taste. How much better if, rather than explaining each insight along with a manufactured snippet of story, the author would have delved into a great story and let the reader assimilate the insights. I kept reading it thinking it would get better. It didn't.

I love the 1/st book: "The Celestine Prophecy". Is one of my favorites books, ever. I was absolutely delighted while reading it. I found it very spiritual, motivational and inspiring, without being religious or else. After a few years later, I found it in my library, and need to read it once again, with more understanding than the first time. After so many years, I still recommend these meaningful book.
I also read the 2nd book: "Tenth Insight", from the same author, but liked the first book more than this. The author published another 3rd book in this serie: "The Secret of Shambala...". Maybe it has too long and hard to follow narratives, maybe it was written in another style, and I cannot really appreciated it and grasp the message the author was trying to deliver to us. The third one is the one that I really disliked.
