Another brilliant read from Dessen. This was certainly worth the wait, even if I tore through it in two days. If you're already a Dessen fan, you won't be disappointed. As always, I enjoyed her references to previous characters and settings from her other books. If you haven't read her other works, you will after this.

Darker and deeper then any previous book, Sarah Dessen once again nailed what it's like to be 16. These books always manage to take me back to my own angst filled teenage years; I recommend them to anyone looking for a good weekend read. Her style is soft and funny, and with this latest book a little more complex.

I have read everything Sarah Dessen has published and my favorite has always been The Truth About Forever and none of the other novels have touched me the way TTAF did until now. The best thing she's written in years!
Hidden Truth: Forbidden Knowledge :: Keeping the Moon :: Along for the Ride :: Once and for All :: The Truth About Caffeine

Sarah Dessen's books are always amazing, and I love the tiny references to her previous stories. I can't believe there are more academically rigorous schools than Perkins Day! Also, every time Ames appeared my skin crawled. What a creep.

This was definitely worth the wait! It is classic Sarah Dessen. Sydney is a girl who feels invisible, especially next to her older brother who is always in trouble. Fans of Sarah Dessen will recognize a lot of the familiar places (Perkins Day, Jackson, the Arbors, Bendo, etc), and familiar themes, but if you haven't read any of her novels before you will enjoy it just as much! This one has some of the darker overtones of Just Listen or Dreamland. Loved it!
