This book is amazing and I would defiantly recommend it to anyone! I love the storytelling, the humor, the plot and the characters! Please only get this book if you have read all of Rick Riordan's other books. ♥

I really wish he didn't destory the story development to try and appeal to everyone. I wanted a book about magical quests and magic not about muslims, gays, transgenders! I'm sorry Rick but this has permanently soured my opinion of you.

Rick Riordan is one of the few authors whose books are auto-buys—meaning, as soon as the preorder link is available, it goes directly into my cart. My son and I love his middle grade books, how his stories pull in mythologies and weave them into contemporary settings (albeit with monsters and gods and such).
This third and last installment of the Magnus Chase series did not disappoint. There was so much about it to love, from Magnus’s self-deprecating voice to Sam’s observance of Ramadan (carefully and thoughtfully written, by the way, in a manner that helped me understand a little more about what observing Ramadan entails) to the general my-parents-don’t-really-get-me-and-they-ask-a-whole-lot-of-me-and-it-doesn’t-help-they’re-gods theme consistent in his demigod books. Plus it’s a great story with a satisfying ending.

This series has been my favorite so far. The characters are well thought out and work well together. The Viking mythology is an excellent background and the series wraps up most of its major plot lines but still leaves room for sequels

I have been reading Rick's books since Percy Jackson came out and immediately got hooked. I read this the day it came out and LOVED it. This series is definitely a must read with the diverse characters, relationships, and humor. It is by far my favorite trilogy.
