not great... was really hoping for a bit more from the book... pretty much tells you to quit if somethings not working out (job, relationship.... ) not what I was looking for. some things are worth fighting for.

This book was extremely repetitive and very elementary in its message. As a person who studies eastern philosophy as well as the ideas of presence, simplicity, the law of attraction, etc., I found this to be nothing I didn't already know. Also, it really skims the surface and in my opinion, fails to communicate it's ultimate point in any kind of helpful way.

I've read them all...from chicken soup to courses in miracles to recovery from darn near everything. So initially, I didn't hope for much. But the title gave me a chuckle, and the reviews were good and f**k it...it was only five bucks. LOL So I took a chance and I'm so glad I did! This book is brilliant. Unlike all the others purporting to offer self help, this one actually delivers. Knowing what I know now, I'd have paid 10x the price.

Don't be put off by the title. The simplicity of this concept is what makes it so effective, and it couldn't be so simple without the f**k.

This is the most seriously unserious book ever written and should end up being at the top of any reading list for anyone interested in LIVING instead of merely existing. That really is the ultimate spiritual way!

Deepest thanks to John. You're going to put a lot of therapists out of work.

I was first introduced to this book when my friend recently came to visit me from Switzerland. She had this book, however it was fully spelled out and did not have two stars between the letters f and k. She told me how much she was enjoying it, so I downloaded it as a kindle book and have only read some of it. But, what I have read is very insightful. Lots of great advise and full of inspiration. Basically, it's kind of like "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff. Only reason for 4 stars is because I haven't read the whole book yet.

For westerners who are too lazy to read wholesome eastern spiritual philosophy and instead succumb to a marketed slogan exploited for capital gain. Not genuine. There is some worthy content in here, but ultimately it doesn't go that deep. I recommend Awareness: The Perils and Opportunities of Reality,Pronoia Is the Antidote for Paranoia, Revised and Expanded: How the Whole World Is Conspiring to Shower You with Blessings, or Buddhist Boot Camp

This is just a manifestation of madness. The whole book could be summed up like this: Drop all your desires and obsessions and give-up.
He tries to make the whole plan seem like reverse psychology, but it just isn't. Everything about it is illogical.
Just buy a book on Taoism and you got it!

I initially ordered this book from the store.co.uk because it hadn't been released in the U.S. yet. There had been a great write up on it in one of my magazines and I was very intrigued. Unfortunately it sat on the shelf for awhile before I finally got around to reading it and I wish now I had read it right away!

This is absolutely one of my very favorite philosophy/lifestyle books. If you're stressed, depressed, apathetic or just generally not pleased with life you must read this book!

I read this during a time of excessive occupational related stress. It helped me realize that I was wasting way too much of my energy with worry and that there really was no reason for it. By reading this book I picked up the "F**k it" attitude, let my stress and worry just drop away, and I felt amazingly better. Having a "F**k it" attitude is the core of this book and it is incredibly freeing.

The title pretty much sums up the main concept of the book, but the book is worth reading in it's entirety as it helps you see areas that you should just say "F**k it" to that you might not think about w/o a little prompting. It helps you realize that there are a multitude of areas in your life where you are essentially a slave to expectations....that of your work, society, your family, even your own expectations, and how everything can be so much easier for you if you just take on a "F**k it - who cares?" type attitude to some extent. You may think "Oh, I could never do that or else this or that terrible thing would happen as a consequence..." Actually though, your world will still go on despite your attitude change, it wont come crashing down. The key difference will be that you will be less stressed and happier all around. (and your new attitude may just make you take on a lifestyle change that will make you even more happy and joyful!)

I highly, highly recommend this book to just about everyone who needs a little something to make life more relaxed and satisfying.

This book is amazing! I have always had quite the "F**k it" attitude, but this book helped me to see other areas in my life, that were causing too much stress. After reading this book, I was able to say "F**k it" to other stressors in my life, and in return feel more relaxed and joyful! This book does not teach irresponsibility. It simply encourages you to take that unnessecary stress out of your life! A++++++++

i like this book. it has numerous strategies to cope with life better. main thing is to say *f it* in order to reduce your attachment to things. after childhood we become conditioned to become attached to many things like health, relationships, money, life purpose . say *f it* and be free from all things. less attachment less stress. this is what all the spiritual teachers say

author's writing style is very humorous and from his own experiences.

This is a great book, especially if you find yourself with a partner/friend/spouse who is turned off by your interesting in metaphysics, or new-age, "airy-fairy" spirituality. Simply put, this book teaches the releasing of resistance, which is the key to letting everything into your life that you have asked for. If channeling or preaching just isn't someone's thing, then give them a copy of this book.

Much cheaper to just play the Old Beatles son, "Let it Be", to be Italian or in Italy, where I lived 25+ yrs, ( a place beloved by the author who thinks life is just perfect there!) and just engage in "ozio", (roughly translates as a nice way of being lazy) and relax... However I would be surprised to find Mr Parkin just saying "f**k it" if his family were involved in an earthquake in Italy and desperately needed medical attention, or his kids were part of the chronically unemployed youth there with little future.... that would border on apathy which it seems the book sometimes espouses...avoid wasting your time w this book, better to take a nice walk on the beach, treat yourself to a good lunch and at least you will have consumed something useful!

I enjoyed this book more before I heard Sherwin Nuland sum it up in about a minute during a TED talk. The talk was about his major depression and how he recovered by the use of electroshock therapy. You can find the lecture on youtube and the reference is about 15 minutes into the lecture. I still think this book is helpful and worth reading but I wonder whether the author stole Nuland's idea. Check out the weird coincidence and see if you feel the same.
