I thought the book was superficial and the reference to the Matrix was as if the writer had no original thought. He used the quotes to the Matrix as if it would make his writing more thought provoking. I didn't appreciate the thinking that there is this magic formula to success and if you don't follow it you're a failure. Success is not guaranteed nor is the definition of success the same for everyone. Failure is not a bad thing!..so enjoy the ride of life. I do appreciate the effort from the writer. It takes courage to put something out there. But please don't quit your job over this book. If you aren't happy working for someone else you won't be happy as an entrepreneur.

Insightful, daring, requisite to finding ones truth. The process is commonplace for many American youth. Seems the opportunity to explore ones reality and entertain ones fancy is possible through friends and family (unconditional love). The governmental system in America can facilitate support while an orphan youth learns the importance of enjoying and celebrating ones likes and overcoming the fears of dislikes. The hardest barrier to youth is to learn to overcome peer pressure and learn the counterintuitive is the answer to most scenarios or judgement calls. ScientificFisherman41 discovered the ill fate in relying on the id versus the ego, not a counterintuitive, and unlike Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink" that favors Id thinking in success. The book is merely a personal perspective, each person must experience and read into to enjoy this book in full.

Jesse has captured the essence of a Connector. There are people that may profess to be a Connector or Networker without understanding the difference. There are givers and takers in this world it's just the way we are wired. Jesse is obviously a giver and has surrounded himself with the like. If you believe you are a Connector or want to be one this book is for you. If you take away one inspirational thought or idea from this book it is a worthwhile journey. Our world is built on natural law and reciprocity and a pay it forward mindset. It is actually our nature it is how we have survived as a species. The world and your life is a series of decisions of yes and no an algorithm if you will. The Connection Algorithm will create Fortuitous Augmented Serendipity which leads to a Catalytic Enterprise Dynamic which begets a life of Purpose and Meaning. If you are interested in this kind of life read the book. If not dont. Life is a choice.

Successful people apparently follow a certain formula. It is however easy for successful people to claim you can be successful too.
In "The Connection Algorithm," Jesse Tevelow explains how you can turn your passion into an income generating product.
So who is this book for? I believe it is for entrepreneurs who want to move beyond a 9-5 job and start their own business. There are some ideas for how to save time so you have time to spend on what is really important to you. There are also some tips on how to get great ideas.
This book will inspire you to get going on your brilliant business idea.

It's worth repeating, this book gives you wings and dares you to fly. It challenges you to find the courage to live your passion; to not let fear and existing constructs determine your fate. It explains how to live the life you want all the time and not just as a hobby and also, quite conveniently, provides a clear path to do just that. The author intertwines experienced business acumen with a sort of spiritual guide and awakening to remind us all you have everything you need to be truly happy within yourself - that within you, is the one and only place to find it. He taps into that place where anything and everything feels possible while reminding us the only failure in life is to have regret.

This book takes a look at the modern understanding of what it takes to succeed in life by dissecting the elements and discovering the simple truths therein; guiding the reader toward their own happiness rather than one that may have been prescribed for them. While I found it accessible and easy to digest, he doesn't sanitize the concepts or shy away from talking about tough subjects. Everyone can benefit from the broad application of his ideas, not just entrepreneurs. The tone is approachable, friendly, and frank.

The Connection Algorithm articulates an entrepreneur's mindset - straight from someone that has successfully been through the plunge and come out the other with stories to tell and tips to share. His personal journal while in "Zombie Land" adds a particular uniqueness and personalization to the book, while concepts such as the 4 C's leave the reader with actionable and memorable take-aways. Altogether, this is a book worth many times the price of admission. Thank you Jesse.

The author simply explains the natural beauty in simplicity and how we have a confused perspective that the world needs to be complicated for some reason. He says no to the complex mentality and makes it simple to understand why.

What an absolutely fantastic read! I thoroughly enjoyed this book; Jesse has written it with an entertaining style whilst maintaining a serious outlook on life. Packed full of real experiences (not just Jesse's alone) in addition to many cited resources, this book will be my new handbook for reaching my goals and ensuring I'm keeping focus on the right things. I'd recommend this to anyone, and have already been recommending it to my friends. I would have happily paid a lot more for this book.

I appreciate that this book was written by someone who has done it! Jesse does a great job of creating the vision of what's out there for us if we just take action. I've read this style of book before, but this was much better, as the author connects with the reader on a very real, very matter of fact basis.

You can tell a lot of personal reflection and introspective thought went into this book. Jesse has a deep understanding of himself, his experiences and has developed a compelling formula influenced by top notch people.

Too many contradictions, too much anecdotal 'evidence'. Nothing new... a few good points, but all pulled from others and not packaged in a way that makes them uniquely applicable. Not worth the time spent on it.
Connection Algorithm... don't email, don't answer the phone, don't text, don't read. Call people and hope to get their voicemail. I guess the author has all the connections he needs.

Some people are lucky - at the right place at the right time with the right idea. Most of us aren't so lucky - perhaps we're not bright enough to come up with something innovative, or we're in a fairly good job - but not in an area of rapid growth, or we went to Podunk University - a site with little networking potential, current or future.
Author Tevelow would have readers believe that the secret of success is 'Just Do It,' like the Nike commercial. There are also plenty of books that instead emphasize detailed planning and long-term skill/product development.
Which is right? It depends. And that makes this and most other books of similar ilk nearly worthless.

Great read for anyone who believes that barriers are brick walls that can't come down. Jesse puts intro perspective your own abilities to realize your potential and thereby achieve a life you've only imagined.

I have always believed that passion is the keystone of everything and Jesse added more value to this concept with a lot of tricks and suggestion to get out from Zombieland.
I ate the book in a couple of days , thanks to a very fluid and effective writing style.
Sometime I felt I was talking to a friend, literally.
