Please please please read this series! Then follow up with the rest of Karen Kingsbury's characters in her subsequent series with the Baxters. The Baxters are the normal, everyday family that every reader will easily be able to relate to while enjoying the book.

I just finished "Redemption" and simply can't read fast enough to learn through the Baxter family! I don't mind losing sleep when reading such great fiction that speaks so clearly to my heart and soul!

Karen Kingsbury is such a gifted writer. She can make you laugh, cry, and empathize with her characters. When you begin the Redemption Series, you are becoming part of a wonderful family. Karen introduces us to the Baxters, and through this series and continuing on with her Firstborn Series, and now Sunrise Series, we watch them struggle, thrive, grow, love and most importantly, rely on God to get them through good times as well as bad. I have read every book Karen has ever written, and still can't wait for her to start the next one. This series is a wonderful way to introduce someone into Christian Fiction....read it and pass it along.

This book and this series was something that I so enjoyed. The story pulls you into the family and the trials that they go through, you can relate to them. Through this book and series, I was reminded of all the awesome things that God can do in our lives, and even when they don't turn out the way we want them, God is still loving us and in control. I read all 14 of the Baxter books in 30 days and was so sad when I finally finished the last book. However, I have moved on to the "Above the Line" series and it is nice that we still get peeks of the Baxter family. I had borrowed several of these books from the library when I was reading them, but I think that I will actually end up buying them for my Kindle so I can read them again. It's definitely a keeper and I would recommend it to anyone, especially those who are going through tough times and need to be reminded of the hope in Jesus Christ.

This much anticipated book had me crying and reading a little slower, as I did not want to leave the Baxter family. The entire series was so true to life with the ups and downs in their journey of faith. I could relate to many of the characters trials through different things that I have personally experienced. I can hardly wait to start the next series.

I read the whole Redemption series within a couple months and truly enjoyed each one! It was wonderfully written fiction filled with romance, joy, and family values as the Baxter family faced many hard trials. Kingsbury did a great job incorporating Scripture and prayer as well. I would recommend it to all my friends!

Amazing story of love and grace found in Jesus Christ. I love how Mrs. Kingsbury captures family life, life in general, and the faithfulness of our Father to those who know Him. I am considering purchasing the whole series for our home library for our children to read when they enter young adulthood.

Redemption was the first book of Karen Kingsbury's that I read. Someone had passed it along to me and I almost didn't read it, thinking it looked too much like a romance novel. I found myself immediately immersed in the vividly painted characters and their trials. This is truly a book for anyone who wants to learn more about developing empathy, relating to family and friends, and working out a troubled marriage. As a devout Catholic, I found the Christian backdrop to the story very moving. It always carries the point that relying on God and trusting in Him is the only way to make the right life choices.
Perhaps an even better reason to buy this book is that it's the first in a series of 5 beautiful novels, each of which explores the lives of individuals in the Baxter family. My sound advice is to buy all 5 of the Redemption Series at once, because you will be eager to get to the next book as you close each preceding one. You'll also find your own faith bolstered by the many messages contained within the story line.

I cannot get enough of Karen's books. She writes about things so many of us can relate to, and she knows how to get each character into our hearts. I have read this whole series before, but I decided to go back and read them again, because they are that good.

Fantastic book!! Would recommend it to anyone. It is the first of hers that I have read and I finished it the same day I started it just because I could not put it down. Really has helped me through a hard time in my life.
