Review:The first book was a page turner but this one reminded me of the Walk Series. I liked the Walk Series and thought I was through it until I read this one. It was a daily log of his walk on Route 66 - so boring and then a few interesting discussions here & there. I found myself skipping several pages so that I could get through it and see if he reaches his final destination. Another disappointment that there is no ending. I won't read the next one in this series. Read more
Review:I found "Love Finds You" book one hard to get into. The dialogue seemed a bit stilted and I could not connect with the heroine, Jen. I found it hard to identify with her since her lifestyle was so different from mine. If she hadn't been so stuck-up when dealing with "country folk" I may have found it easier. Still, I was soon connected with Aunt Gabby, Annie and Zach and their characters and interactions kept me reading. The plot seemed to improve as the book progressed but perhaps that's b... Read more
Review:More than a commentary on Swann's jealousy or M. Charlus's homosexuality or the frivolity of the Guermantes' sorties, Marcel Proust's monumental work In Search of Lost Time paints the unsuccessful reconstruction of a forgone world and a lost existence from fickle memories, which like morning mists would fade with the rising sun. The narrator Marcel, longing for a past that didn't exist but must be created, sought to experience Bergson's continuous time rather than the fragmented and still-framed... Read more
Review:Just in time for Valentine's Day, author Courtney Walsh's new book Paper Hearts delivers a love story that is bound to inspire you to start a new tradition. This book totally has a Ya-Ya Sisterhood meets Letters to Juliet meets You've Got Mail kind of feel. I always adore a good love story and this book is definitely one. However, it is also about overcoming loss, disappointment, and starting all over again.
I really loved this book for the struggle the characters walk through. True to li... Read more
Review:I love reading those forbidden romances and enjoyed this one so much. This is an updated version of Duty Bound - which I actually have never read so I can't tell you what is different about it. But I loved this one. Levi who has been in love with his best friends sister Harper forever (his dead best friend) and of course he feels like he is betraying his friend if he acts on his feelings and tries so hard to stay away but at the same time protect her from danger. Harper is such a strong will... Read more

Review:Bravo J. Bengtsson! Firstly, I would like to point out that even though being a new author, the writing style for this book and the first Cake Book as well is truly superb. It seems J. Bengtsson has a gift when it comes to writing, and I truly hope to see many more books written by this author... Even seasoned authors sometimes cannot achieve this level of writing making you connect to the characters and feel what they feeling! Having said that, I only gave this book 4 stars and I would like to... Read more
