Review:I was really excited to get approved for My True Love Gave to Me on Netgalley, even more so when I seen reviews popping up in the blogosphere. I couldn’t wait to get started on it! Since it’s a book made up of twelve separate short stories, I decided to individually rate and review each story and then give my overall thoughts at the end.
Midnights by Rainbow Rowell ★★★½
This being only the second story I have read my Rainbow Rowell, I was immediately reminded of why I liked her tal... Read more
Review:This seems like the perfect writer finding the perfect material. Mitchell's imagination, already ferocious and able to make seemingly anything work in his fractured, polyphonic works like 'Cloud Atlas' and 'The Bone Clocks', can also just hone down on a single setting, in this case, early 18th century Japan, and write the HELL out of it for almost 500 pages.
The amount of historical detail and research that went into this is mind boggling, only writers like Neal Stephenson and Umberto Eco... Read more
Review:I chose to give this book a 2 star rating because I was very disappointed by the ending. The book itself was decent but I felt like there was no closure whatsoever. The whole point of reading a book is for the amazing wrap-up, and you don't get that in this novel. Read more
Review:I started reading this book based on the reviews. Once I started reading I realized.. It's not for adults.. it's for young teens and it did not like the cliches, and the "whatever" attitudes.. I finished reading it hoping it would leave me hanging. and it did. Not because it was "OMG GOOD!" but because it was almost like a trainwreck that I couldn't look away from. *cries* Read more
Review:I love the story.. I ordered the hard cover. But once again I did not get it. The same thing happened when I ordered it from Wal Mart. So don't feel bad. So I read it and loved it , but will give it away because I collect the Hardcover versions . Read more
Review:Not enough reviews help prospective readers know more about this book. Obviously, if you're planning on reading this one you're a long-time fan, but it never hurts to know what's going on.

Review:I love every Janet Evanovich's books that I have read so far, which are many, including this one. Sometimes they are laugh out loud funny. I miss the characters when I'm finished reading, but there are so many more I can become acquainted with. Thank you Ms. Evanovich. Read more
Review:I had a really hard time getting into this book, or warming up to it once I did. I wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't. I stayed with the story to the end, hoping that Bev would have this big triumph moment. She did in a way I guess, but not the way I'd hoped. This is advertised as a Romance/ Comedy, but I didn't find anything funny about the way everyone treated Bev.
IMO- It was so disrepectful, if anything. Plus...I hated the relationship between Bev and Liam, it just didn't s... Read more
Review:Why do these entertain me so? I feel stupid, but at least I am not alone. They are funny but oh so ridiculous. Ranger asks Stephanie to plant a bug in Dickie's office. As she is wont to do when encountering her ex husband she threatens to kill him in front of witnesses when she sees that Joyce's photo is on his desk. After strangling him and walking out with a desk clock that had been a wedding gift from her side, she has done as Ranger asked. Oops Dickie goes missing the next day and she ... Read more
