Review:I had put off reading this book for awhile. I 'm not entirely sure why. I think it was because I wasn't sure if it was going to be a book I would like since I'm not an avid fantasy reader. Well, lately I've been reading more fantasy and finally decided to give it a try. I liked it, but sadly I didn't love this.
The parts I did enjoy were the fantasy parts. The different creatures, the shadows, the spirits, the mystical creatures-all extremely interesting. I wanted to know more! I don't th... Read more
Review:Normally you cannot tell a book by its cover, however the publishers of this particular novel were very clever with this jacket and it suits the novel perfectly. Red, being blood and passion, are what this story is about. Elena as a main character is an amusing and interesting character, and the other characters Ms. Armstrong surrounds her with are absorbing and so very unique. I really enjoyed the writing style, considering this is the first book written by the author, and the plot was interest... Read more
Review:It has been four months since the fiasco with Kristof Nast and the fight for custody of Savannah, but Paige Winterbourne's life is anything but back to normal. With her business, private life, and reputation up in smoke, she had to relocate... to Portland with her boyfriend, Lucas Cortez, and her ward, Savannah Levine; a place where no one knows her. Though life has moved on, Paige still feels like something is missing, and with each new failed attempt to start a new Coven, that emptiness grows ... Read more
Review:There were so many times that I wanted to walk away, because the emotions this book stirred were so intense. But, it was like a train wreck, I just couldn't look away, I HAD to know what happened. I didn't skim, I lived through every drag out emotion invoked. Great book, amazing writing, keep at it girl, you've DEFINITELY got it! Read more
Review:All the books in the Shatter Me series are wonderful. I've found myself 'chomping at the bit' for the next one. As with all great stories, I'm saddened that there is only one more book coming out. I'll be alright thou, I'll just reread them :) Read more
Review:Once I saw this cover, I knew I had to have this book and, boy, did it amaze me. It's hard to properly describe this book, but the words "innovative" "unique" and "one-of-a-kind" come to mind. Not to mention the fact that the magnificent world-building surpassed all expectations. The very concept of weaving the world is unique in itself, and it's easy for any fantasy lover to be entranced by the world that Albin weaved for us. This book is beautifully complex and enthralling, I easily got throu... Read more

Review:Dear Reader: The is a review of My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga. It was certainly an interesting read but I feel like I needed more information than the book was giving. It's a very dark plot; a story about a girl who sees no light left in the world and decides that she is going to take the quicker way out. She will kill herself to rid the world of the daughter of a murderer. Via the internet and a website, she finds a boy who wants nothing more than to do the same. He is mournin... Read more
Review:Pretty good book. Ultimately, a little short. If you buy this because you already have an affinity for food & Europe, you'll be frustrated with the protagonist for just being so dull to these wonderful things. You've never had gelato? So, you just don't walk down the ice cream isle at Cub? Read more
Review:"When Daniel kissed her, Luce knew in her bones that he was her past. Folded into his embrace, she was desperate for him to remain her present. But the second their lips parted, she couldn't really be sure he was her future."
I am still torn on this series. I do love that in this book it seems to become, for the character anyway, about what is real to her. She is starting to rely less on the feelings of those around her and examining what she can trust about herself. By the end, I real... Read more
