Romance
Review:Perfection! Heartbreak, action, romance and insanity to the max. I have to give a shout-out for all my fellow Team Jack members, 'cause we know that boy is um, um, UM. Magnifique! The ending just about killed me, though. I have high hopes, especially after reading some interesting theories. Team Jack for the win! Read more
Review:Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole
Paranormal Romance -Feb. 15th, 2011
4 ½ stars
Dreams of a Dark Warrior is an involving and darker toned story than many of the author's previous books in the IAD series. This story seems like a culmination in many ways. This is because we find out about Regin the Radiant's past with her berserker mate and how she and many of the Lore were kidnapped. Lovers of this series will not be disappointed!
This installment introduces the dark... Read more
Review:Wow...I'm amazed that I enjoyed this book as much as I did! For not being the biggest fan of The Darkest Promise and thinking all the LotU books were becoming repetitive, The Darkest Warrior shocked the hell outta me!
I didn't think I would like seeing Gillian with anyone but William (since as we all know the trajectory of their story has been leading us to believe a romance would bloom once she turned 18) but I happily stand corrected.
Gillian and Puck just fit perfectly together. They ma... Read more
Review:This book was set up very well from the beginning. The author quickly introduced you to the lead male and female, Sebastian and Kaderin.
What I like about them is that their love was different from Lachlain and Emmaline's romance (Book 1: A hunger like no other) but it was just as engaging. In fact, I found this book to have a quicker pace as well as more better relationship development.
Sebastian is just a gentleman. He worked very hard to win Kaderin's love. In fact, at times I wonde... Read more
Review:I absolutely loved this couple and story. We finally get a realistic hero...flawed and strong. Conrad is a very likeable character, even with his crazed beginnings. He didn't obsess over his past, instead embraced it and was ready to face it. I felt the love his brothers had for him with trying to help him. I loved Neomi. I felt her lonlieness as a ghosts, yet she survived all those years, stealing her trinkets, listening to tadpoles...lol. I loved the past parts of her life and was glad ... Read more
Review:My favorite romance authors are Diana Gabaldon, Stephanie Meyer (so far), and Jane Austen. I've now added Kresley Cole to that list, although she obviously takes the story further ;-) She doesn't use slang or fashion that dates the characters, unless it is a historical romance. Her historical romance accuracy has been brought up in comments, but I didn't find any errors distracting. The heroes sound like real men, whereas some authors write the hero in such a way that I can't tell the differ... Read more
Review:Mrs. Cole is a wonderful story teller. Her frighteningly realistic tale had me on pins and needles. Can't wait to read more of the series. I'll gladly miss more sleep so I can enjoy this apocalyptic tale! Read more
Review:Kresley Cole is steadly moving up to one of my top five favorite writers. Cole's dialogue is fun and witty. Her characters are heartbreakingly sexy. Even a character as hate-able as Sabine, I adored. I find it amazing the way Cole twisted her character into a self-centered, egotistical, self-proclaim liar and thief who is also a mentally and physically strong, loyal to her sister, and who is only fighting for her and her sister to have a home. Most of all I LIKED her character. Then there ... Read more
Review:I am a big fan of Kresley's stories and have enjoyed her style and character writing throughout. I have also read several of Gena's varied themes and character works. So I think it is fair to say that Deep Kiss of Winter is a quality short by the author while Gena's is by far the worst one I've ever read. Read more
Review:Cole and crew do their research and it shows. Every minute detail ensnares the mind and the story becomes an obsession that cannot be put away until the end. Thank you, Cole, for sharing these heroes and heroines with the world! Read more
