Review:Delightful, original and definitely a relaxing ride into the philosphies of life (and the after-life). The characters are unique and almost always smoothly introduced. Piers Anthony makes no habit of dilly dallying. He tells a tale and moves along, just the way I like my books. Reading book one has left me wanting more. However, there were times I got the impression that he bunched a chunk of discussion into one sequence. Necessary discussions, most definitely, but it was as if he wrote th... Read more
Review:This book is written in prose, poetry, written word, and story telling of years of pain and grief. You feel like you are sitting across from the author as he tells and sings these memories on and off the reservation. Could not stop reading as he let's you enter the darkness and light of his traveling soul. What a journey. Enjoy. Read more
Review:The White Queen and The Red Queen: Formulaic precursors to Henry VIII series. Danielle Steel does War of the Roses. If you can keep track of the myriad of Elizabeths, Edwards, Edmonds, Richards, and Margarets, you are good. It'd be best to read these two overlapping tales together if you have air or beach time to kill. Otherwise, skip 'em.

Review:I feel like a grain of sand reviewing a Heinlein novel! I do like his " this is the way it is" tone, but find the plot lines jolting! The future of Methuselah's Children is technologically advanced, but this leads to overly explained space flight that is tedious. If you love the unexpected, however, get ready for the bumpy ride! Review:As with all the Kevin Hearne novels, I downloaded this one from audible. However, this time I promptly returned it. I will have to find the actual book now because for whatever reason, Luke Daniels is not the narrator for this book. When your used to a specific narrator, it just doesn't work when they change the person readers are used to listening to. I love Kevin Hearne. He is an excellent story teller. While I am sure this story is on par with the others I don't understand why they didn't get... Read more
Review:Another look at the development of Atticus and Granuaile as characters. Consistent with their characters in Kevin Hearne's main stories. Love seeing how their powers work and are developed and what they are thinking. Witches should watch out when dealing with nature. Make the right choice. :) Read more
Review:I really like the Iron Druid series, but feel this book was lacking. The chase across Europe felt too "staged," Atticus's character wasn't as engaging, and Oberon's voice was almost indistinguishable from Atticus's. Don't get me wrong, the book was still enjoyable, but left me wanting more. Hopefully, book seven will see a return to what made the first books so enjoyable. Read more
Review:Filiquarian Publishing, LLC published this book under the idea that it is in "public domain status." Meaning, it is not any better than you would find online. The book is readable, but emphasis (bold or italics) are done by an underscore before and after the word(s). Example: "_His_ is the lightning flash, we sang. _His_ is the deep, salt sea." (page 82) To me, it is annoying to read it this way. You occasionally find extra quotation marks and a double dash (--) in the place of an ellipsis (... Read more
Review:This book brings The Seeker and Mother Confessor back together after the prophecies kept them moving in different directions. There is lots of action and fast paced storytelling going on here. I highly recommend this book. Read more
