Review:When the original series came out, it was torturous to wait for the next month's copy to come out. The storyline and artwork were dynamic and enjoyable for the first seven issues. Then the storyline got too convoluted and the artwork took a turn for cheesy. But it was an overall, entertaining time and Marvel struck gold on the series. Great Job! Read more
Review:The tale that Hickman gives in this book is amazing overall. The prelude to Infinity is a nice touch and sets up the main story well. The Black Order are an interesting set of characters, and live up to their threat. The plot itself is good, continuing where the New Avengers/Illuminati are dealing with Incursions, while the Avengers take charge in space to combat the Builders. The confrontation with Thanos was done well, and Thane is a character well done. The artwork is amazing and captures the... Read more
Review:The book itself is fascinating but the Amazon printing is awful, full of typos. In one paragraph I found five! Some typos change the meaning of a sentence or are confusing. There is a much more recent translation of Proust, better than Moncrief's making Proust more accessible but this isn't used by Amazon. For future books in the sequence I'm going elsewhere. Read more
Review:Just finished. What a phenomenal story. I'm blown away. I couldn't put it down. And I certainly didn't expect the multiple twists at the end. A must-read. One small complaint about the shipping... The book arrived with some strange oil on the cover. I easily washed it off, but I was pretty disappointed when it first arrived. Anyway, great great story! Review:The first year of Injustice was pretty good. Kind of lagged it in the beginning but after a few chapters we get a better story. Around the time Lex and Superman start working together the series is halfway done but it's also where it is acknowledged that Superman is no longer who he used to be. To some of us it seems uncharacteristic, but rarely does Kal experience loss, so when he does, it will obviously have a major impact on his personality. He starts acting on impulse like a superpowered bra... Read more
Review:This really gives more depth to Batman's past, and even introduces the Riddler. The book felt incomplete, which is why if you buy this you might as well buy Volume 5 as well.
I love this take on Batman. I love this take on Batman's humble beginnings as a vigilante, and I love The Red Hood's beginnings as well (Joker).
All in all, it's a very captivating read as are all of Snyder's Batman books. The Art seemed to lack what the predecessor's had, but it wasn't bad. It didn't detract ... Read more

Review:A true American classic. Although written by a British man, Moore has an incredible amount of knowledge when it comes to American history and does a great job at using our countries dark past as inspiration for many of the stories. Swamp Thing deserves a space in any book or comic connoisseurs book shelf. Book four was me personal favorite because artist John Totleben added a really psychedelic aspect to swamp things jouneys, especially the scenes where swamp thing goes into the collective consc... Review:Having the entire book in color really helps to bring some more life out of the story. Having Matthew Patel (1st evil ex) and his outfit in full color helps to justify Scott's comment on his choice of wardrobe, etc. Read more
Review:Captain Europa recruits a reluctant French model to join an EU sponsored super-hero team. Their first mission? Aiding the police in a crackdown on internet "hate posters" that proves more challenging than anticipated. Great drama, strong, characters, and excellent world-building. Can't wait for the next issue! Read more
