Review:While I, mostly, enjoyed reading the series I found the writing to be somewhat inconsistent. It felt like the author was writing one, or more, books at the same time. Two instances, in particular, stand out. One where she says Jeremy is interning at his father's company, but in another book he was a banker. The second one was so obvious, I question whether it was the same author. In the first chapter of the first book Belly says her brother Steven taught her to whistle really well and how pro... Review:I read The Summer I Turned Pretty (the first book) && LOVED it. However, the sequel was somewhat of a letdown. There was really no substance to the character's relationship like in the first one. It was mainly just about trying to save the summer house after the boys mom passes away. Now, don't get me wrong, I was ALL FOR them saving the house, && glad they did. I just didn't think that was the only thing the book needed to revolve around. I think the conflict between Conrad &am... Read more
Review:This was purchased to help a student who has trouble reading words in print. I allowed the student to use my Kindle and the student had a wonderful time reading this story and wants to read more of O. Henry's writings. Read more
Review:Have you ever watched The Island? It’s an exciting summer blockbuster that doesn’t make you think to hard. The foreshadowing looms shortly, only to break into obvious reveals. Obvious plot threads weave throughout the storytelling, yet it is still a lot of fun to watch.
This book was a lot like that. Nothing about it was groundbreaking or unique, but the entire reading experience was a good time. Sure, the dystopian future thing has been done to death in every incarnation by now. Sometime... Read more

Review:I have read this book 3 times! An enchanting story about a sweet girl named Emily, who has quite the imagination and is a very gifted writer. Each time I read the series, I love going on adventures with Emily and living life through her eyes. By far my favorite series by L.M. Montgomery! Read more

Review:Big Brother meets The Hunger Games in Nerve by Jeanne Ryan.
I received a copy of this book through the Goodreads First Reads giveaway program in the hopes that I would leave an honest review.
This book completely sucked me in. Like I was legit supposed to be proofreading a book, but I put it off for a day just so I could plow through Nerve. And I needed that. Reading was starting to feel way too much like a chore and this book renewed me.
The story was intense and exciting, ... Read more
