Dot-to-Dot Count to 100
Dot-to-Dot Count to 100

Review:Amazingly nice for the price. I was a little shocked, not $1 newsprint type book. The only drawback is the images aren't very dynamic-totally my opinion-My 6 year old was excited, but then bored after one. Read more

The Spooky Wheels on the Bus
The Spooky Wheels on the Bus

Review:My son has adored this book since we purchased it when it was released. We decided to read it to his preschool class at their Halloween party, and all of the children sang and danced along. There are beautiful illustrations to look and talk about, and the familiar tune gets everyone involved. Read more

Pout-Pout Fish (A Pout-Pout Fish Mini Adventure)
Pout-Pout Fish (A Pout-Pout Fish Mini Adventure)

Review:I absolutely love Deborah's first book, "The Pout Pout Fish" and my son and I read it together all the time. I was excited to expand our collection with another book but was disappointed in this one. The original book is so creative with it's rhyming but this one is short and very matter-of-fact. I don't think I would have purchased it if I had seen it in a bookstore. He does love fish so he will look at it occasionally. Read more

Do Cows Meow? (A Lift-the-Flap Book)

Review:Great content, but I wish the flaps were a little more sturdy. My 15 month old tears them right off before I even have the page all the way turned. lol She loves cows and the front of this book makes her smile. Read more

Touch and Feel: Farm (Touch & Feel)
Touch and Feel: Farm (Touch & Feel)

Review:This is a great book for small children. There are many pages that have the texture incorporated into the photo. The toddler/baby really likes to touch the textured part of the page. Fun that it is about Farm animals! Great price for a board book! Read more

Old MacDonald Had a Farm (Little Golden Book)
Old MacDonald Had a Farm (Little Golden Book)

Review:Beware! If you buy this book for your toddler you will have to read it (or better yet, sing it) a dozen times a day. And let's face it - Old MacDonald is short on plot. However, the pictures in this version are incredibly cute with lots and lots of funny details. The pictures even tell a simple story, with the happy singing animals gradually taking over Farmer McDonald's house. My 18-month-old granddaughter just can't get enough of it. The construction of the Little Golden Books is so simple and... Read more

A Fly Went by (Beginner Books(R))

Review:This book offers those new readers the chance to read by themselves. This was the first book I read alone and without assistance. I later passed this along to my children. I most strongly recommend this book for parents and grandparents of pre-schoolers. Read more

My First Book Of Knock Knock Jokes - Knock Knock Who's There
My First Book Of Knock Knock Jokes - Knock Knock Who's There

Review:Got this for our 4 year old daughter for Christmas. She had been trying to tell knock knock jokes and didn't quite have the pattern down (though her own versions are hilarious and we continue to encourage her to make up her own!). She immediately sat down to read this, and even though she can't actually "read" yet, the pictures support the words and she can read/remember all the words on the pages... who knew it would turn into a useful teaching tool, as well as provide all of us with many laugh... If I Built a Car
If I Built a Car

Review:Chris Van Dusen is this generation's Dr. Seuss.

All of his books are on our FAVORITES shelf. I suspect there is an autobiographical element to "If I Built a Car" and that makes it special. The Mr. Magee books are great, too.

I can't think of anything bad to say. Well, I suppose I'm a little bitter that he can be so talented as to write *and* illustrate such stories! Read more
