Horns to Toes and in Between
Horns to Toes and in Between

Review:Been reading Boynton books to our toddler since she was an infant. They have great art and fun stories. Now that she's old enough to grab her own books for bedtime reading, the Boynton books are usually her first choices.

The first time I read Horns to Toes, she didn't quite get it, or like it. But then she started enjoying it more and more. She especially likes as I point to the different body parts while reading the story. Horns to Toes is now in the top four books she grabs for bedtime... Read more

Inside Outside Upside Down (Bright & Early Books)
Inside Outside Upside Down (Bright & Early Books)

Review:I ordered several of these board books thinking I was getting a great deal. SO disappointed when they came as TINY, ABRIDGED versions of the real stories. These should be labeled better! I shouldn't have to sort through 100 reviews to realized they're not what they appear to be. We bought 4, paying almost $20 plus shipping, but only got $9 back after paying return shipping costs. Biggest rip-off ever! If I had wanted books to put in my diaper bag- these would have been great. But as it is, I jus... Read more

Cat
Cat

Review:My 18 month old daughter loves this book. Unfortunately, we have to keep it out of her reach on the bookshelf because she has torn out some of the moving flaps. She ultimately destroyed the first copy, but she loved it so much, I bought her a second one. She lovese the moving pieces and the ability to feel the different textures. Read more

All by Myself (Little Critter) (Look-Look)
All by Myself (Little Critter) (Look-Look)

Review:I bought several books by this offer because my daughter's (age 5) elementary school recommended them on a reading list. My daughter loves them and I really like the subject matter - this one in particular helps her understand that it is great to be able to do things "all by herself" but that she might need a little help sometimes. Whoever You Are (Reading Rainbow Books)
Whoever You Are (Reading Rainbow Books)

Review:One of my favorite books for early readers! I wish I could make it mandatory reading for the adults in my life, too.

Spoiler Alert:
The basic message goes something like this-- "You're a kid, they are kids. You look different, live differently, etc., but the things that count (loving/hurting) feel the same to you and them, so be who you want to be and let others be who they want to be... and take care of the people all over the world." My First Book Of Uppercase Letters (Kumon Workbooks)
My First Book Of Uppercase Letters (Kumon Workbooks)

Review:Its a good begining for the rookies in tracing. Takes them step by step. Only gripe is the letters used for tracing are huge. I am wondering whether it is because it would be much easier for them to write smaller when they get to do it..dunno. Read more

Glad Monster, Sad Monster
Glad Monster, Sad Monster

Review:There are seven emotions that are highlighted - each has a mask (a perforated page that you tear out) as well as 3-4 examples of what happens when the monster is glad/sad/silly/angry/scared/etc.

Each mask has eye-holes and a nose hole which my 4 and 2 year old kids really like.

There is a "storage pocket" in the back of the book so you can keep all of the masks in there. The thing is that it's only barely large enough to fit them so it's a pretty tight fit.

Note that one pag... Read more
