Review:Paolo Bacigalupi delivers again with another masterful work. His storytelling and attention to detail make the reader feel as if they're right alongside Nailer as he navigates a dangerous and oftentimes unfair world. My only regret is that it ended so soon. I'll look forward to any and everything that Bacigalupi has in store for us as he continues to amaze. Read more
Review:Exiled Queen takes what was started in The Demon King and explodes it forward. After starting it,I could not put it down. Waiting for book three is going to be torture. Each character really seems to grow and mature in this book. I care about each main character and I'm not sure how I want this to turn out. There are so many possibilies.
I recommend this book for any fantasy fans out there. Read more
Review:The book was extremely short (took me about an hour to read it cover to cover) and had nothing to do with the new movie as it claims (that I'm aware of). During the prologue and epilogue there are scenes with an older Han Solo, but the majority of the book was not entertaining. I imagine that some of the characters may be in the new movie in some obscure way but if you're getting this to gain insight into the movie, I would pass. Read more
Review:After reading the information about this book , I believed that it was aimed at tweens. But as a 55 year old woman I did not want to stop reading Fire Mage. Fire Mage truly held my interest and I hated when I came to the end of the book. I work with 10 to 12 year old children and they all would enjoy this book. It is well written and makes you want more. The details are clear and the charters are likeable and the book is enteraining. At times as I read Fire Mage I felt that I could see and smell... Read more

Yay! I love seeing Meghan and Ash together as a couple. I greatly missed Meghan in The Iron Knight and it is nice to see a part of the life that she and Ash have after being married. They are getting ready for the first Elesium that Meghan has gone to as the Iron Queen but she is feeling a little weird nausea and almost fainting….hmmm wonder what that could be.
The oracle that once asked for Ash and Meghan’s first born has bad news about their progeny and they must jour... Read more
Review:The short novella WINTER'S PASSAGE was a great way to get more action and chemistry between Ash and Meghan. This isn't a must read. A lot of the beginning is just a repeat of what happened in the previous book THE IRON KING, but if you're a lover of the series then I suggest the read. The story follows Ash and Meghan as they visit Puck before they make their way to the Winter Court. They're in danger as a ferocious wolf is hunting them. As they try to out run the wolf and make it safely to the W... Read more

Review:If you enjoyed the Hunger Games, I believe you will also enjoy this book. It's the first of a series by this author who usually writes mysteries. I found the book to be excellently written and very engaging. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to any adult or young adult (I'm an adult). Read more
Review:The Secret Treasure Box rocks! Great series and the secret treasure box makes it extra special. Great series for a young girl who wants (or her parents want) to stay young and sweet. Perfect for a 7-10 year old. Really good stuff. Read more
Review:This story connects the outer and inner worlds which we in the West are prone to deny or ignore. It seems a good place to start teaching children that what happens within them physically, emotionally and spiritually has ramifications in the outer world just as what is happening in the outer affects their inner, subconscious lives.
