Review:I like the idea of waking and reading a different quote to get my day started. However, I found the misspellings in the beginning of the book to be a bit distracting. Also, this book didn't seem to be any different than similar books of this nature and there was a lot of quotes that I had seen before from other sources. This is an excellent treatment of millenia-old Hindu religious thought for the modern day thinking man. The main body of the book is Lord Krishna's explanation to his life-long friend and champion archer Arjun of life's purpose. Review:Excellent book! At first I thought it might not be a good fit, but I was soon proven wrong. It is very eye opening, encouraging, validating and self empowering. Review:I think it is a great book and quite informative. However Lesley Hazleton has only used sources from a particular school of thought and never bothered to check up on the others. For example Imam Hassan and his father, Imam Ali, were portrayed as having views that conflicted with each other basically. Some of the books have been negative in nature, often by Muslim and Arab writers, but this book by Mr Ramadan is a positive book about Muhammad and what he means to Islam, and perhaps to the wider world.
