Review:I've been fascinated by the story of Charles Manson and the Family since I was a teenager. Now as an adult and a prosecutor I'm even more fascinated by the psychology and sociology behind the story. This book is an amazing first-hand account, masterfully told with tremendous insight. Thank you, Ms. Lake, for sharing your story. A must read! Read more

Review:One reviewer put this book in his top 50 favorite. I would have to say that it is in my top 5. In God's gracious providence, I first read this book just after becoming a Christian 30 years ago. It both set a standard and provided a doctrinal framework by which I would discern the spiritual and theological value of books for the next 30 years.
Theology? For too many people, that's a bad word. For Packer, it's "the study of God"; what more noble pursuit is there?

Review:This book does what any book examining Scripture should do - it takes Scripture, whether it be a difficult or simple passage, and then simply explains it for all to understand. Furthermore, it provides the correct context for the Passion (I recommend Matthew Mark, Luke, and John for further information!) and Christ's purpose.
Those who have negatively reviewed this book because it purports "dogma" obviously do not have a problem with "dogma" but with the Word of God, for every chapter Piper ... Read more
Review:Brilliant insights into the heart of Christ and his will for us as his children. Tozer eloquently teaches the necessity of seeking after God and not relying on tradition but rather an intimate personal relationship with the King of Heaven. Read more
Review:Piper writes: "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." What a life changing concept!!! And it is Scripturally sound! The activity of our faith in Jesus Christ is wrapped up in being satisfied in all that God promises to be for us in Jesus! Joy is the business of Christianity. Piper's well thought-out and wonderfully argued thesis will change your life. His grasp of God's soveriegnty will put you in awe of God and spark in your soul a desire to get more of God. ... Review:Lots of interesting stuff here, especially the work on the true location of the Garden of Eden. I understand the need for many of these researchers to distance themselves from Ancient Alien theorists. Mr. Collins seems intent on doing this and it's a bit too much for my taste. Read more
Review:A first rate scientist with an open mind. Something very difficult to find these days. The archeological concepts presented here
are based on geological evidence and not hampered by preconceived beliefs. Very thought provoking. Read more
