Sharks and Other Sea Monsters - Encyclopedia Prehistorica

Review:LOVE LOVE LOVE Sabuda's books - my only caution is that you give them to a child when they are a little older and can take care of the lovely cut out pages that pop up - they are all very detailed and are a genuine keepsake for a home library. Best to have mom around when viewing if under 10.
Great resource - try the America The Beautiful as well! Read more

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Review:I purchased this book for my daughter's first birthday. I have always loved this poem and was so excited when I found it in a picture book. Susan Jeffers does a great job illustrating. The pictures are beautiful. I plan to give my daughter a special book each year and I am so glad I was able to start with this one. Read more

Favorite Roses Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)
Favorite Roses Coloring Book (Dover Nature Coloring Book)

Review:The pictures themselves are good but a little bit to childish. I would prefer softer more pencil sketch type. There could be a better variety of "poses" for me also. Maybe a full plant and a small in ground view. Read more

What Do You See? Board Book - Panda Bear

Review:I thought getting kindle version of books would help transition my two year old into a bedtime routine of reason before bed. But it never worked because we always needed the light on and that would keep her up. She uses my kindle all the time so I want to try reading before bed because I won't need the light on. It's a reasonable, cheap price and seems worth it. I'll most likely invest the money in more kindle version books. Read more

Review:I kept waiting to be 'captured' by the character in this book, but I had very little empathy for him, or connection to him. The story seemed to drag on and bog down in mundane events. I really TRIED, but haven't made it past 2/3 of the way through. I plan to finish, hoping there will be something redeeming in it's ending. The general grammar is bad and sentences are jumbled and don't flow. I hope this was an intentional effort on the part of the author - if not, I can't imagine how an editor wou... Read more
