I love this book! The story is heartwarming and easy for the very young to read and understand, and it is enjoyable for all ages. The illustrations are beautiful and encourage easy conversation about the subject of friendship. Definitely 10 Stars!

Love, love, love this book! It is so very simple, but the story of a friendship in the making is simply delightful. I just lent the book to a preschool to read it during friendship week. The illustrations are wonderful. I am quite certain that this book will be a great success. Since writing this reveiw, I had the opportunity to read this to the preschool class of 3.5-4.5 year olds. It certainly held their attention. I think it is destined to become a favorite among 3-5 year olds. It is the kind of book that children's book authors and illustrators should strive to write. I would give this book 10 stars if I could.

I really like books that teach lessons, so I thought this would be nice. I read it to my 3 and 5 year old kids, but it doesn't keep their attention. It is a very simple book, with a good message, but isn't exciting for small children.

I absolutely loved this book for my daughter. We read a copy form the library tonight and I was very impressed by the simplicity yet power of the message.
The old adage of sticks and stones breaking bones but words not hurting plays out in the first few pages. Then the stick and the stone become friends and show the reader that real friends look out for each other and help when needed.
The art is well done. The story is well done. Overall I was very impressed with this book.
