Self-Help
Review:I was fascinated by Michaels story- I can see how most definitions of Surrender would make his life story hard to accept. Seems as though his commitment to peace and allowing was more important than fear, resistance and control. I believe we have a life story that is even better and with less struggle than our ego's will to make life fit some goal or plan. Read more
Review:This book is easy to read, not boring.
Some points of view are questionable and don't really help in one individual life
it doesn't have any new ideas that you can catch and use when you have a difficult situation.
Ideas from the other books help more. I think that book "Passionate marriage" by David Schnarch, or "Passionista" by Ian Kerner are more helpful and useful.
This is just another book with some life examples from consulting practice Read more
Review:Julia writes a good many books about self-invention and respecting the creativity we are all born with. this one is particularly topical as it addresses the senior audience and issues of retirement and rebirth, or, if you prefer, simple adjustment. i prefer rebirth. inspiring and practical. one thought: do your morning pages! Review:I love this book. Nathan's passion and enthusiasm are palpable and contagious. Not only is this guide laugh-out-loud funny and easy to read but also directly applicable. I have been writing for years and years and have been querying for three. I almost gave up but was reenergized by this book and landed an agent. I'm thrilled and grateful to have come across such a gift. Thank you, Nathan, for your generosity of heart. Read more
Review:Quite difficult. Have granddaughters that LOVE these. And the noise level goes down when they are interested in doing them. I always seem to buy some new pencil 's for them because not only they love having new ones. You don't have to worry if a color is missing. Read more
Review:Excellent book! At first I thought it might not be a good fit, but I was soon proven wrong. It is very eye opening, encouraging, validating and self empowering. Giving your love and life away to ones with no appreciation or regard or recipricocity or even RECOGNITION of what you've done/shared is a waste of the valuable gift if time and the joys USUALLY associated with serving others. This book helps you recognize it isn't you with the problem after all, which is the first place empaths go, lol.... Read more
Review:I've worked for highly strategic teams, but execution has always been a struggle. I'm convinced I just read the solution in this remarkably simple to understand book. Not since Jim Collins' Good to Great have I been this enthusiastic about the road map for accomplishment. Read more
Review:This book was instrumental in saving my life. That sounds dramatic and it is. After losing my 18 year old daughter eight years ago and then losing my husband five months ago almost to the day of her death, I was broken to say the least. It was words spoken in this book that jolted me back to life, brought me out of the ashes, and is helping me look forward to whatever life has in store for me. Read more
Review:After a very painful break-up, I found myself trying to call him, asking his friends for information about him, ect. My friends were sick of hearing about him, and I was going crazy. Then I picked up this book. The advice was very straight forward, and the anecdotes were very funny.I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has been dumped or did the dumping, and is an emotional wreck. BTW I am now blissfully single and enjoying dating again! Read more
Review:I bought this book for a college class. As possible, definitely shop Amazon books to gain the best value. Campus bookstores can be expensive! I received this book promptly and it was in great condition (as listed). The subject matter was excellent! The content provides research outcomes, scenarios, and recommendations for tackling difficult conversations on most any level (personal & business). I approve the book & the seller. Read more
