Review:Amazon should not allow publishers to market PDF galleys of their books as e-books. The lines of text in this book does NOT reformat themsleves to fit on mobile screens, so you have to scroll back and forth horizontally to read every line. Useless, ridiculous. It's not an e-book, it's basically just pictures of a print book. I want a refund. Read more
Review:Very truthful with a good range of descriptive examples of how BPD'd people act out. The title says it all. It pulled me in and taught me a lot to help me identify and moderate my own symptoms. As BPD'd people heal or learn to manage the condition, the cover of the book is less appealing. I wouldn't change a thing about it, though. Read more
Review:Very interesting book, detailing introvert "strengths" in a new way to help see the positive side of this personality. Very informative, understandable and encouraging, as practical steps are given to let your strengths shine! Read more
Review:Thoroughly enjoyed reading this aloud together (in bed). Lots of apply-able concepts, excellent illustrations from real people. Provides insight & understanding - the keys to getting along! Contrary to the title, its not all about sex - its 100% more about Connecting Well in relationships that are of import to you. I learned that "distancing" from my family is not due to lack of care but due to an overintensity of emotion & reactivity to it & high anxiety because our relationships ar... Read more
Review:Not an easy reading book. As a musician, I did not expect it to be a psychology book. I expected it to be how the brain and music, like mathematics and music, support each other. The writer rambles on and on about the same thing over and over in each anecdotal story he writes about - very monotonous. Stopped reading after part 1 (chapter 6). Very disappointed in the book. Review:Stephen Jay Gould was one of the seminal figures in evolutionary biology of the 20th century. He not only made major contributions to the field, particularly with his notion of "punctuated equilibrium" and his conceptual refinements to evolutionary theory such as the notion of "exaptation," but he was a world class essayist and did more to spread knowledge of evolutionary theory to the general population than probably any other scientist of his day. This is one of his finest works and the titl... Read more

Review:Ok, some people think that writing pop science without being bombastic is impossible. Well, for all those people who think this way, and for all those scientists who produce bombastic nonsense and thus mislead the public about science, this book serves as a powerful reminder that it need not be that way. Popular science can be written honestly, and yet still engage the public's imagination. If you don't believe me, just give this book a try! Read more
